They're misleading because wealthy and educated russians are more likely to move to the US than poor uneducated ones. The US has plenty of poor and uneducated natives.
Indian-americans have the highest median household income of any ethnic group, even higher than Jews. It's not because street-shitters are inherently superior but because most of the ones in the US have post-graduate degrees.
When I graduated, ~95% of the Comp Sci masters students were Indian and there were a shit-ton of them.
