Joel era

>Joel era
Average nerd watches movies with his good buddy robots
>Mike era
Fratboy jock watches movies with retarded robots

>there are people that defend the Mike era

>There are people who can't enjoy both.

>not enjoying all 3 iterations

Now for an actual complaint, it does suck how mainstream comedy of this nature has gotten. In the olden days you had to truly be a total nerd to get all the references. There were no LOTR movies yet, only the guys who spent all their time with their noses buried in books would get all the jokes. Now everyone has smartphones and google and wikipedia and youtube with full annotations and the whole secret appeal of this cult underground show is completely blown out. Such a shame.

Mike was a writer for the duration of the show, Joel just shilled his shitty standup

>non-descript character walks past in the background
>one of robots quips something like "literally who: the early years"
shit-tier humor

This. Joel sucked and chose boring movies.

>it's a black and white japanese film

Mike was awesome though and he was still a nerd

Name someone who could have pulled off a funnier Janeway cosplay

You probably just aren't well read enough to get the reference, brainlet

Yes you now understand virgin nerd vs Chad geek dichotomy

The internet ruins everything

>it's a smart show for smart people like me!
lol

lol that's literally true tho
stay mad

Who is your favorite character? Hard Mode: no TV's Frank

I go with Kevin's Tom Servo.

>look it's *pop-culture* reference haha!
Wow, truly genius

felicia day and patton oswalt

>Reddit: The Series

Referencing literally who actors/people is the opposite of pop culture.

Clayton.

>I have no arguments and can only communicate via crude non-apropos greentext memes
Quite sad
