We got our migrants a few hundred years ago and it's affecting us quite badly

There's a shortage of skilled labor in Romania because skilled and unskilled Romanians are going to other EU countries to work.
The pay and social welfare is pretty bad though so we don't get any immigrants except for Chinese who come here to trade

The migrant crisis is not effecting Romania because the migrants pass through Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Spain.
As for immigration, if you can immigrate to any EU country, you can then freely migrate internally to Romania. I think Estonia and Ireland have the more liberal immigration laws in EU.

If you're wondering why are there so many refugees in Hungary, it's because there is a wall on the Austrian border, and they are sort of stuck in Hungary trying to get into Germany. Most refugees are not interested in any other country other than Germany.

Downtown Sofia is now called Little Beirut. There are some issues with the migrants, especially when they get too concentrated in one place,but generally things are OK.
My only problem with Germany is that they sent out the wrong message. The message Merkel said is that everyone should come and get free money and easy live. There are so many rumors in the middle east that if you go to Germany they will give you free car and free apartment. The message should've been: Come if you want, but do not expect help, you are on your own. That would've ensure that only the people who are prepared to work will come.
