Have you actually read the works of Kafka at all? Which films would you consider genuinely kafkaesque and which would you say are misnomered?
Do you really think a videogame playing liberal numale knows how to discuss film?
Chances are he doesn't even know what "kafkaesque" means and just saw someone else post this thread and wanted youvotes
OP here, the only posts that are me in this pic is the ones from Sup Forums and /r9k/
Elephant Man is unironically kafkaesque
>forehead freckles
Not since Rocky Dennis.
Woman in the Dunes was inspired by Kafka
The Fly
The Crab
The Elk
The Anvil Collector
The Lobster
The Double
OP would be funnier if it said "no meat touching please"
These are unironically true. Kafka is supposed to be read as comedy, most Americans don't realize this.
Genuinely? The Fly
Metaphorically? Most movies that focus on paranoia, what is fantasy and what is real, and a character arch reflected in a physical transformation. Also social and sexual inability.

How could anyone read Metamorphosis the Burrow as anything but a comedy? I guess stuff like Investigations of a Dog are a bit colder, but still

I often see this used on Sup Forums unironically, what gives?

Nothing wrong with these except absurdist
Brazil probably.
fuck you OP and fuck the rest of this thread
I was expecting Mission Hill
Samefagging here but I would guess that a lot of high school/teen movies might get misnomered as kafkaesque since no one answered. Certain workplace and family dramas could be classified as kafkaesque since Kafka's work often revolves around existential crises of the sort that younger people are not yet capable of comprehending.
Also Jewish stuff. My interpretation of The Metamorphosis has always been that of disgust and shame of his own jewishness in Czech society.
>Lynchian
Very good answer
