Confession thread?

Confession thread?

I've never seen Blade Runner or know what it's about.

then why don't you watch it, you stupid fagot?

I tried watching Blade Runner thrice, but got bored about 30% through and went to sleep every time.

Every time Sup Forums says that something is bad. I assume it's good.

Rude.

why should I does it still hold up

the only tv related thing I watch is Game of Thrones and new Star Wars movies when they come out

Same but I finally finished it. Youre not missing anything worth watching

same senpai. i always thought it was a sequel to Blade

I don't actually enjoy watching Television or Film

contrary to what Sup Forums """patricians""" claim, there is no general scale to measure movie quality. We all have our own tast in movies (for example I think pic related is the best movie ever made). Ive seen the movie and liked it, but thats purely because I love sci-fi and stuff with harfison ford in it.
If you try 3 ties alredy and didnt like it you shouldnt force yourself to watch it for the 4th time.
My rule of thumb is: If you like the trailers, you will, probably, like the movie.

I hate Millennials

boring, pretentious and overrated like most "classics"

Never seen Titanic.

I haven't seen The Godfather and I don't plan on watching it anytime close,

>sci fi drone
>watching trailers
yikes

You should watch 1 and can get away with skipping pt 2

I wish I was a "normie" again.
the years of Sup Forums and shitty anime dont allow me to enjoy anything anymore.

Go and fucking watch it. Right now. The Final Cut.

Ok
How do you decide if you want to watch a movie or not?

...

I've never seen the 2 girls 1 cup video.

I have never seen

>Titanic
>Citizen Kane
>Godfather
>2001

Im sure there are some major ones im forgetting

this tbqh

I like watching I Am Jazz.

30 years old, watched movies religiously up until late 20s. been going to movie quizzes with friends for almost 10 years now. finished watching most movies on all of the popular lists, started doing this when i was stumped and couldn't find anything to watch. gone through most of the oscar winning movies since the beginning.

but i have not seen titanic.

Its okay buddy, we all enjoy reality tv.

why?

Never watched Avatar and I'm glad I didn't

I've never seen citizen kane

i was not interested in it at all when it came since i was young and hated anything romantic back then. so over the years i avoided it due to this, then simply forgot about it altogether. now it's almost a novelty, it's the only big movie i have not seen and i kind of like to keep it that way. i still know a lot about it from reading tidbits and articles over the years. almost no point seeing it, apart from crossing it off my list, compared to movies i know nothing about.

why does she have a bonner does it show her bonner

I appreciate it user. Usually it's not my thing but the show is oddly fascinating.

You havent missed anything.
It was groundbreaking filmaking in its time, but it hasnt aged very well.

>and your other gunt

blonde is trap??

Really? I watched it and was absolutely blown away by how modern it felt, movies made even 10, 20 years later often feel older to watch than Citizen Kane

I have not disliked a single classical movie that I have watched, apart from Full Metal Jacket from the 2nd half onwards but even then I thought about the film for about a week afterwards and ended up liking it post-viewing

I enjoy DUDE WEED comedy flicks

read the novelization first

true. Although to say I like it very much would be like saying a kids drawing is good "for a child". It's remarkably modern and fresh compared to other films of its time, but if I want to watch a modern film I'll watch a modern film. But it's really shockingly good for 1941, like remarkably good.

I'm not taking this, you uncultured swine. Give me one (1) aspect of Citizen Kane that is lacking compared to modern films in the same way a child's art compares to an adult's. The cinematography, directing, and editing of Citizen Kane is up to scratch and exceeds many modern films. Don't resort to the black and white meme because modern films, i.e. Raging Bull and Schindler's list, sometimes use it as a device today.

Same. Fell asleep halfway through.

Also, I never finished LoTR, always stopped watching when the council scene starts.

>If you like the trailers, you will, probably, like the movie.

Baywatch. All the good stuff was in the trailer, the rest was a steaming pile of shit.

I don't know what kino means

I have never watched a James Bond movie from start to finish, same with Indiana Jones

Never seen fight club and probably never will

me too but I hate it when I don't have weed

Same. There's nothing comfier than getting high after a long and exhausting day and putting up the dumbest Seth Rogen movie I can find.

Saw it for the first time a few weeks back. It's an okay movie, although I could only grasp it's message in broad strokes. Didn't understand a lot of the smaller details.
Interestingly, it told me more about an old friend I haven't spoken to in years. Was his favourite film.

You really misunderstood what I said. I didn't say it was a child movie, what I meant by that was that it is a cop out that people use for older films. Instead of talking about the film itself they say shit like "it's good for its time". That's why I said that about children drawings, it's like that, where people don't judge the drawing but just say "it's good for a kids drawing". So, for me, Citizen Kane is really spectacular in that regard and has some great shots and great scenes but it was hard for me to look at it objectively without being influenced by the MASSIVE reputation it has.

On re-reading your previous comments I still don't get the impression you're trying to convey now, but I'm essentially a high functioning retard so sorry if I'm wrong

I edited the comment heavily and deleted some parts that clarified it a bit more. I have that category in my head of "good for your age" that I apply to many things but I forget that other people may not understand what I mean by that

Just read the book, it's much better.

Blade Runner was boring.

I've never seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

watch more films

I am the guy he was responding too, am I retarded for coming out the other end of the conversation barely knowing what the fuck he meant and believed

nah, you are all right

>Citizen Kane hasn't aged well
you have to be retarded to really believe this

Titanic is the best movie on that list. I guess that's my "confession".

How is no one understanding what I meant? I meant that people too often watch old movies and then just say shit like "it's good for its time" without really talking about the movie itself, just the age and context it was made in. So I said I liked Citizen Kane but I can't tell if it's because I really liked it or because of the big reputation and hype around it.

>You havent missed anything.
>It was groundbreaking filmaking in its time, but it hasnt aged very well.
>it hasn't aged very well

That wasn't me you idiot

The only thing I got out of Citizen Kane were a few "damn, how did they film this in 1941". The plot is not very well written and overall the movie was a chore to sit through.

That's just a good rule of thumb for any board on Sup Forums

read the cast & crew

I don't ever want to see citizen Kane because I don't like movies where the director and lead actor are the same. I also hate movies where actors play themselves

I'm the original guy you were speaking with. Now that I know the first person I responded to wasn't you I understand more, but your style of writing isn't very coherent or organised still and you ought to work on it, tbqhfamalam

I post opinions about films I've never seen on Sup Forums

I'm sleep deprived, and haven't jerked off in 2 days. Give me a break

I copy opinions on films I see here and post them on Reddit for karma

I like what disney is doing with starwars

Monthy Python series are extremely unfunny.

I've never seen Drive nor Nice Guys

And yet I like Ryan Gosslin

Kek

I've never seen any Star Wars movie, and I haven't watched TV in about 6 years.

It's about running on blades, lol. Wtf did you think it was about?

I've never watched Citizen Kane or Casablanca

Blade Runner got me pretty close to bitch tears. Dem borgs just wanted to experience life.

Sorry senpai, normal TV stuff is boring as shit, seasons 1-3 of GoT were the only things more exciting than video games because of the plotting and scheming. The only reason I continue to watch it is I need closure and the show is lore now because the fat fuck writing the books is never going to finish them before he dies of a heart attack.

Don't bother. Two of the most boring and overrated movies of all time.

Quentin Tarantino films are my secret fetish. Literally not a single one has left me disappointed, and I frequently rewatch them every other month.

I have only seen 3 of the top 20 highest grossing films of all time. And only 1 of the top 10.

FMJ would've been instantly better if it just stayed in boot camp.

The message was basically about finding out who you are and accepting that everyone has limitations. It has an interesting take on Communism/anarchy and how it's destined for failure no matter how hard society craves it, because society cannot exist without organization combined with free will. The main character wants to belong to something that matters because he cannot find meaning in his life, then realizes how batshit fucking crazy people can become when like-minded individuals congregate to his force of personality and wants nothing to do with them.

Supposedly the book that the film was based on is infinitely crazier, I really want to read it just to see what could inspire that film.

Titanic was the most boring movie I've ever seen. I'd rather watch paint dry than view it again.

I didn't enjoy citizen kane, and still haven't watched the dark knight trilogy, though I will soon.
I'm probably an uncultured swine.

Never seen Blade Runner, the original Star Wars, The Godfather trilogy, Titanic. The only "classic" I've seen is Fight Club. Not in the US though.

Anything other than Kubrick is painfully boring to watch.

Don't worry, they're Quentin's fetish too.

I've never seen The Godfather or The Shining or 12 Monkeys or A Clockwork Orange. I get scared when I'm about to get found out about movies I haven't seen that I should have seen.

Kubrick is an overrated hack.

I guess this is as good a thread as any to say something so stupid.

About to go see a therapist and I'm starting to get nervous

Don't be. Therapists/psychologists are the single most understanding and friendly people you'll ever meet.

I havent watched the original triology of star wars, it all seems too cheesy but i know it from seeing from tv from time to time

It was still better than TFA but when i first saw tfa i went with the hype and thought it was great

I have personality issues, I'm not sure which personality I should let come out and let my mask speak

I have spoke to a therapist online and they mentioned something is odd about my masks I wear a lot of masks when it comes to talking to people

I don't know who I am

>I have spoke to a therapist online

You shouldn't do this. Just go to the real therapist and tell them about this.

>and your OTHER mask

I liked batman forever more than batman returns.
Returns was basically just Tim Burton porn, like so many of his films. Extremely bizarre silliness, random gothic darkness, and a soundtrack that was more transparently "Elfman" than the batman 1989 soundtrack.
To be honest I just fucking hate Tim Burton and almost everything he makes. His style requires no proper talent, and he always relies on his heavy handed gimmick.

Then there's batman forever. I'm not saying it was a masterpiece, it was a mess of consumerism in general, but it made itself a well balanced flick with good sequences/scoring.
