What do you consider to be Wes Anderson's best film?

What do you consider to be Wes Anderson's best film?

I personally liked pic related

1. "THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS".

2. "RUSHMORE".

3. "THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL".

4. "MOONRISE KINGDOM".

5. "BOTTLE ROCKET".

6. "THE LIFE AQUATIC".

7. "THE DARJEELING LIMITED".

"FANTASTIC MR. FOX" IS NOT CANON.

I watched it twice and just couldn't get into it. I loved Tenenbaums, Moonrise and Life Aquatic.

>enjoying the films of Wes Anderson

rushmore is the best, moonrise and budapest have more feels.

Tenenbaums, Budapest > Rushmore > Moonrise, Bottle Rocket > Mr. Fox > > Zissou > Darjeeling

FYI Bottle Rocket just came to Filmstruck w/ comfy commentary and extras

>not being a connoisseur of the films by Wes Anderson
Go enjoy your Disney Marvel trash elsewhere

Is Moonrise Kingdom only something someone can enjoy if they experienced love as a kid/teen?

I felt I couldn't get into Tenebaums in the same way I got into Budapest, to me it flowed better as a story. Maybe I need to rewatch TRT

can anyone here watch moonrise kingdom without a lil peen tingle?

No? It's got a lot of charm.

That said I couldn't get into Grand Budapest. Characters were too quirky.

I haven't seen them all yet, so I'll just go by what I have in order of rating.

>1. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
>2. Fantastic Mr. Fox
>3. The Grand Budapest Hotel
>4. Moonrise Kingdom

Gotta see more. The Life Aquatic is the only film in my top, but he's probably my favorite director just because they've all been consistently good. I know what to expect and I like it.

OFFICIAL VERTICAL POWER RANKINGS

1. The Grand Budapest Hotel
2. Fantastic Mr. Fox
3. Moonrise Kingdom
3.5. Dog Shit
4. The Life Aquatic
5. The Royal Tenenbaums

My favorite is still the Darjeeling Limited and I don't care what any one else says

Wait a minute, why the fuck does everyone hate The Darjeeling Limited? Owen Wilson and Jason Schwarzmann were fantastic. Some of the most likable assholes I've seen in film.

You can watch it as a Bruce Willis fan.

I didn't like it because it sucked.

The Darjeeling Limited was way better desu

kys triptard

Because it's not really the same cartoony style as the rest of his movies.

That's pretty much saying you do need to have been in love...

Royal Tenenbaums is the comfiest movie i've ever seen hands down. It's just such an endearing story. You start to love Royal for his zany antics and appreciate richie and margot for their complex relationships.
Richie and Margot come off sometimes as whiny rich kids but they become more relatable with the comfy tent scenes. Chas is annoying as fuck but in the very end you appreciate why he is the way he is.
I think Royal is the best character in all of Wes' films. Everyone in bottle rocket is a close second but I still think Royal is everything you want in a tragic character.

>enjoying the films of Wes Anderson

No, though if you never had a happy act of independence as a child it would probably be difficult.

Fantastic Mr Fox

>enjoying anything ever
lel fucking plebs. life is misery

1. Darjeeling
2. Tenenbaums
3. Budapest

This is the correct order.

Moonrise is the non canon one user
