It's okay, there's still Bad Moon, Dog Soldiers and American Werewolf in London to watch over and over and over and over again.

I watched the first 20 minutes of that on netflix and still felt like it was a waste of money.

I'll give this a watch.
The high star ebert review is comforting.
But still, i am mired in butthurt over the lack of a well put together high budget werewolf movie.
Of the big scary variety.

I can't speak for the first two, but I don't see how any reasonable person could like the howling.
I didn't like the rest of the movie but that godawful sex scene stood out as being particularly grating.

I felt like Ginger Snaps was at least a reasonable try, but was very much a low budget 90s teen angst movie coupled with the standard bad werewolf schlock.

It wasn't a (good) movie though.

It's definitely flawed, but I remember liking the story. The idea of a commune of werewolves that actually like being monsters is neat.

Big bad wolf, Project Metalbeast, the Howling movie in the castle, Howl, and Silver Bullet are all good as well.

Also a werewolf movie with Kevin sorbo in it thats fun

There's a giant wolf controlled by a cult that kills villagers and silver bullets so I think it fits the bill.
