Our citizenship test is actually quite difficult to qualify for. Because we don't want a shit load of low iq low skill workers that compete without our own natural born citizens. If you want to become a US citizen you have to bring something to the table.

Hence why illegals are infuriating because most of them are the worst of the worst and they are directly harming actual US citizens by driving down labor costs to the point legal workers get passed over as well as bringing up the crime rate and welfare dependency. Ever listen to interviews with immigrants who are deported and living in shanty towns along the border? Some of them start families in the USA and don't even make it back, but they all say the same thing. They say if their children will have the opportunity then its all worth it.

With that in mind you should then understand that the only way to make a real stab at curbing illegal immigration is to also go after the children as well.
