i loved it too desu. unsurprisingly no one on capeshit loving Sup Forums has seen it.

I love Talking Head music, but I've never seen this movie. "Wild Wild Life" is a pretty great song.

Is this the movie where John Goodman sings "People Like Us" to Swoozie Kurtz or some damn thing? Because I didn't understand it at all.

It's a multipurpose shape, a box.

Its a great movie, strangely inspiring and yes talking heads is great too.

>Because I didn't understand it at all.
There's not really anything to "get," when Byrne was touring he would read the local papers and cut out weird little human interest stories that he though were quirky, or weird, or funny. This movie is just a bunch of those stories written into little vignettes and given a really loose semblance of a narrative which is pretty much just Byrne being your narrator as you wander through this small town of Virgil, TX.

Its worth checking out if you're a talking heads fan, the music is pretty great in the movie.
I fucking love this version of Dream Operator

It's always been a pretty obscure film. I remember seeing it in the blockbuster for years (and I always thought it was michael keaton on the cover).
First time I ever watched it was because of a hidden-gems thread on Sup Forums.
But RLM did a video on it earlier in the year so there was a small resurgence in awareness.

Its like a napoleon dynamite prequel.

Tell me about Byrne, why does he wear the hat?

to make his body appear smaller

great movie. almost reminiscent of the works of david lynch in a way, minus the horror

Fantastic comment, simply fantastic.
