Oldboy
Memories of Murder
I saw the the Devil
The Host
Train to Busan

those come to mind.

Outrage series

why are middle aged women addicted to korean soap operas

crow is pretty cool. comic book as hell

Every single one of these (only one I can't personally vouch for is Oldboy since, for some reason, I get bored and turn it off every time around the end of the hallway fight), plus Joint Security Area and Man From Nowhere

I've been meaning to watch MfN.
Oldboy was the movie that introduced me to Korean flicks so it holds a special place in my heart. Plus, i fucking love that hallway fight scene.

Love Exposure

It's the only film you ever need to watch. Nothing will ever top it.

Cromartie High
Taboo

Joint Security Area

Love Exposure
The Face Of Another
Tokyo Drifter
Ichi The Killer
Nobody Knows

yes

Love Exposure isn't even Sion Sono's best film. The whole last half of the film is really poorly paced.

Don't lump them in together. Korea a shit.

Outrage is fucking great if you want yakuza kino.

Thr good,the bad,and the weird

Love Exposure
I saw the devil
Wailing
BR

t. r&m, got, and dr who fan

a hard day
new world
a tale of two sisters
the world of us
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring

This is such sentimental garbage. It's a christmas film ffs.

New World

Grave of the Fireflies is underrated kino

Stray Dog

AIDS milk

probably that post-apocalypse one, i forget the name of it

why dont you play in hell is a close 2nd

wtf is up with their eyebrows?

i've noticed when i was in Japan that some dudes had very thin eyebrows, im not sure if they get them plucked of if its natural. it looks weird as fuck

we pluck them

GENJIIIIIIIIIIIYAAAA

bump

Vengeance is Mine
Confessions of a Dog

Battles Without Honor and Humanity

this

Most of Kurosawa's films are pure kino. Seven Samurai may be one of the finest films ever made.

Also, House (1977) for acid trip kino.

Ringu
Juon
Cure
Audition
Lesson of evil
Chasing game
Confessions

Bittersweet life
Taegukgi
Man from nowhere

>tfw you thought serizawa would win

>Train to Busan
HAHAHAHHA

xiu xiu the sent down grill

...

train to busan is shit op dont watch it

>Korean
Castaway on the Moon (possibly my favorite movie of all time, great feel-good movie)
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring
Oasis
3-Iron
A Dirty Carnival
A Moment to Remember
The Vengeance trilogy
Save the Green Planet
I Saw the Devil
The Chaser
Han Gong Ju
The Handmaiden
The Wailing
Train to Busan
I'm A Cyborg But That's OK
Joint Security Area
It's A Bittersweet Life
Memories of Murder
Mother
Peppermint Candy
Pieta
The Yellow Sea

A quiet family
Barking dogs never bite
The apology king

I should also add:

Attack the Gas Station
The Good, The Bad, The Weird
A Tale of Two Sisters

Noroi

I don't like jumpscare movies, but Noroi was just extremely long boring build up scenes with a bad payoff at the end. The tension wasn't even very good, and it sure as hell wasn't scary.

I liked the korean movie with the train

pretty much this

>Most of Kurosawa's films are pure kino. Seven Samurai may be one of the finest films ever made.
truth. Also The Hidden Fortress has some 11/10 scope cinematography

Love Exposure
It's the film we will use to communicate with extraterrestrials, as a display of Earth's best artistic work

Am I getting memed on hard or is Love Exposure actually good?

Antiporno, Noriko's Dinner Table, and Strange Circus are his best.

It's actually that good. Not even trolling.

>one ok rock song starts to play

it's not mind blowing good but it's worth the watch i guess. i agree with the original dude who said the pacing sucks anus toward the end

Back off fags, Yakuza kino coming through

I respecfully disagree

too many to count

blue spring is fun if you like OP pic

its actually Into a Dream, nice try pleb

Try Hanzawa Naoki. That shit was a surprise. It turns out it was the drama with the best rates in Japan ever.

I have never seen the works of Hitoshi Matsumoto mentioned in Sup Forums, but he is fucking great

how new are you

Refer me to one (1) thread about japanese film in this website that's not a Love Exposure circlejerking

should i refer to threads that no longer exist?

>What is the archive

Adrift in Tokyo was pretty good

bump

Nah, I'd rank Into a Dream right below Hazard.

Chinks>Japs>gooks

Worst opinion I've ever heard

Like you could come up with a better one.

Japs>Chinks>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gooks

this movie is so strange, i like it

i saw "I saw the devil" a few days ago, great revenge movie

watched sonatine and memories of murder
sonatine was super boring
memories of murder was interesting until the ending which was shit

Anyone know of a certain movie (I think it was Korean) and there's a scene where a guy is torturing a woman in an apartment? and I think he was on the phone? It was not I Saw the Devil, but that's the only scene I can remember

The Chaser, i guess about an ex cop pimp

...

it was not Chaser, although I might be confused about the phone part

Not sure about the apartment part, but Save the Green Planet has that kind of feeling to it.

Weeb opinion is not a valid one.
