Maybe. The last trailer looks pretty good, so I'm hopeful. The book was amazing, so if Franco was able to even capture a little of it, it'll be at least decent.
Hollywood loves movies about itself, so it's probably at least going to be nominated for a few Oscars.
Not even close. It was good, though. Franco's performance is genuinely great, maybe his best work outside of Spring Breakers.
Couldn't anyone else do this fucking movie? They let two of the most unsufferable kikes run it.
This movie will ironically end up worse than the Room.
What? Franco doesn't resemble Wiseau in anything but costume.
I've actually seen the movie. Trust me, his performance is spot on.

Look how James is spreading his legs and taking the whole couch while Tommy huddles in the corner.
Oh wow it's out, allright gonna trust Sup Forums one more time
It's not out yet, it's on the festival circuit right now.
It's not out, but they've done so many test screenings most people have seen it already.
the chad filmmaker and the virgin wiseau
It's aired at several festivals, so it's very possible someone on here has seen it
Greg and big Franco both have their legs spread apart. Tommy and Dave are both cramped. That's pretty much exactly what I expected.
What's the Wiseau cameo?
He didn't have one that I noticed. He showed up for the Q&A after the movie though, what a weird fucking dude.
Three of the most overrated jews in movie industry in one single film, yay!
*buurp* God's not real
TWO Francos??? I'll pass
Three Francos, their other brother has a small role
double the Franco double the fun
anyone else here hate james franco ?
Never saw any of his movies but I know he adapted The Sound and the Fury and that it was awful. Later I saw a selfie of him on Faulkner's grave.
He's a fucking /lit/ poser
are you telling me that... triple the Franco, thrice the fun?
>Never saw any of his movies but I know he adapted The Sound and the Fury and that it was awful.
How do you know it was awful if you never saw it? Do you always let other people make your opinions for you?
>try to adapt a good book with a movie everybody shits on
>take selfie on intellectual graves to show everyone he read books
I don't really need more you know
James Franco likes to fuck kids so no wonder you don't like him
jesus have mercy, just how many Francos are there?
I'm more exicited for Wiseau and Sestero's new movie Best F(r)iends. Looks like kino
>How do you know it was awful
Just an educated guess
>anyone else here hate james franco ?
>Never saw any of his movies
Sup Forums - Television & Film
>and the Oscar goes to acclaimed Director
JAAAAAAAAAAAMZZZZZZZZ
FRAAAAAANCOOOOOO
>shitty movie
>shitty fags show it on adult swim
>smoke a ton of pot
>think it's genius
>make a shitty movie about a shitty movie
>Francos and Jew Rogen
They got the Disaster part right at least.
>implying James Franco smokes pot
Yeah.
Can someone even be friends with Rogen and not smoke weed?
>enjoys the room in any capacity
>doesn't smoke pot
Sure thing.
watch his james dean bio pic. youll respect is acting after that
>He didn't have one that I noticed.
Then you're lying, because he has a cameo.
>How do you know it was awful if you never saw it?
Do you know where you are right now?
>In 2017 people are excited for Ed Wood 2 with an even more pretentious lead.
If he had a cameo, it was in the background. They played clips of him at various screenings of The Room at the end with text over the screen about how that film became a cult classic, but that's the only time I remember seeing him on screen.
>he actually made a real life Simple Jack
>If he had a cameo, it was in the background
It's opposite franco. James said it was a contractual obligation and he's said in multiple interviews how awkward it was.
>Contractually, we had to give him a cameo opposite me, which was very weird because I was playing him. I don’t know if that’ll end up in the movie or not, but it was a surreal experience to say the least.
It was probably cut.
jews making a hollow imitation of a gentiles work.
Then that scene didn't make the final cut.
Stop lying.
Looking forward to seeing this after reading the granuiads review and watching the trailer.
The Room was a joke like 6 to 8 years ago. who cares now?
Normies are still just finding out about it, believe it or not.
normies don't deserve to laugh. they need to be caged and catalogued like jews.
Not lying, just have a terrible memory. There was a Wiseau cameo. It wasn't actually part of the film's narrative, just an after credits scene.
I loved the book, its fucking hilarious and could've made for a great movie full of comedy with a warm heart. Instead it's a rogan and crew joint that'll bastardize the source material to make way for the signature franco/rogen jokes that they obnoxiously think everyone likes. FUCK THESE HACKS. They probably stumbled upon it two years ago. Seriously the book would've made for a great movie.
Ed Wood is a great film and The Disaster Artist was a great book. Why wouldn't I be excited outside of an edgy knee-jerk contrarian attitude like yours?
Why does Tommy wear those crazy shades indoors in literally every appearance he makes post-The Room? Is his human disguise wearing off and his eyeballs are melting?
He's scared of ageing and constantly ties to make himself seem younger than he really is. The shades probably hide the wrinkles that have started appearing around his eyes.
see the post directly above yours.
>started
It doesn't feel like an Apatow production at all actually, (even though Apatow himself is actually in it) there's no improvisation that I could tell and Rogen doesn't even have that big of a role. I haven't read the book but Sestero claimed the movie was a faithful adaptation in the Q&A.
>now you remember Tommy Wiseau did let's play series
>plays game for 10% of the video, rest is taken up by shitty horrible skit
so much wasted potential, I'd love to watch him do it on his own without being controlled by Machinima.
SEEMS TO ME LIKE YOU'RE AN EXPERT
Perhaps the medicines he has to take make him sensitive to light.
is James still in character?
Markchinima
The book has a kino ending. Wonder it'll be as good in this movie.
