>filler episode I hate this meme
Adrian Myers
What?
Ayden Perry
I like some 'filler' as it can be comfy. But this wasn't comfy. It was a story told in a billion different shows across fiction, in the least imaginative way possible. There wasn't even anything close to scenery or effects porn, aside from maybe the cruiser coming out of the smoke, to make it interesting from the art side of things.
Literally the best thing that will come out of this will be a few shitty r34 pictures of the pink chick.

This isn't anime, there aren't any episodes that are filler. That doesn't mean it wasn't a weak episode, but it wasn't filler.

I disliked the previous episode. This one was somewhat ok. Also a nice touch to base the characters on Andi and her team.

That's what happens when you breathe in the unrefined tibanna gas on Bespin. Why do you think Lando wanted to run Cloud City?
So....we have three threads going at the same time. Just how autistic has this fandom become?

Well, as far as I recall, we've only seen four. And and two were female.

The two others became magnets for shitposters, so I think we're doing okay

The avatar spam hasn't helped this one. Feels like the lightsaber spam we used to have.
There's not much to talk about, though. The last episode didn't go over too well, which I actually am having trouble following because I had no problems watching it. I didn't give much of a shit for Iron Squadron but I enjoyed them making Admiral Konstantine squirm (it felt like Thrawn set him up to fail, but he would have failed even if he'd had a bunch of Star Destroyers so no biggie).
It's tempting to set up wider implications of Thrawn and Sato having a past together. The original Iron Squadron was killed by the Empire and the mention of a new one piqued Thrawn's interest. Thrawn was aware that Mykapo lacked any formal resistance or starfighter corp without looking up the details. Thrawn's voice was recognized by Sato. BUT it's easy to dismiss. Thrawn is a Tactical Genius™ who already prefers the bigger picture of having all the info in his powerful mind instead of a computer. He probably knew the original Iron Squadron was lead by Sato's brother since he has all the details on Phoenix Squadron anyway and no doubt suspected a connection with the new Iron Squadron. As for Sato recognizing a voice, well, he just said Admiral and an Admiral tends to make sense for a Star Destroyer. They definitely prefer the big boys, though they can also just have plain captains too. Hera also knows about Thrawn and I'm sure they've been looking into his details now including any recordings so he could know Thrawn's voice.
I prefer the history because it's more thematically satisfying from a story standpoint, especially if Sato was involved in the original Iron Squadron or any other world Thrawn was racking up civilian bodycounts while riding any insurgent elements. It gives Phoenix Squadron a more apropos name. Not just because the phoenix is a popular anti-Empire symbol but because they were literally rebuilt from a Squadron the Empire, and yes possibly Thrawn, destroyed.

This is the official /swco/ thread. Let's not let this sort of shit happen again because the mods might just fucking ban us.
Jaxon Reed
You summarized my thoughts on the episode as well user. After two seasons I think people need to understand that Rebels goes for the slow burn before hitting the keg at the end. Everyone expecting to be wowed at every episode aren't going to be happy.
Julian Peterson
We don't want to have multiple threads, but it was better to start a new one than to migrate to threads that had blatant shitposting bait in the OP and were designed specifically to start arguments
Nicholas Garcia
This kind of shit happens, and the mods are no doubt familiar with it. Otherwise any troll who wants to kill off threads for any fandom will just spam generals. I wouldn't put it past them to use multiple IPs too just to try to disguise it's one person fucking around.
I haven't even bothered looking at the other two to see what kind of a mess they are, but that last one the user made with the pepe yoda was a fucking mess. I guess that's why he tried again.

That wasn't spam though. That was good, clean fun for everyone involved. A thread pastime for when we were between seasons. I miss that shit.

>The avatar spam hasn't helped this one. Feels like the lightsaber spam we used to have. Neither of those are spam, nor negative in anyway whatsoever. What did people have against sabers?
Colton Ramirez
I miss the saber posting as well, though I can understand some degree of animosity towards it. I mean, from a certain point of view, it's pretty much image spam mixed with OC/Fanfiction, which is pretty frowned upon by the common user (at least where I usually hang out)
