Toonami Ratings for 11/19/16

By some miracle, Toonami is NOT having a marathon Thanksgiving weekend. So be sure to tune in for the regular schedule.

Intruder 3 is happening right now. Tune in during the commercial break for DBZ to catch the next episode. Two episodes left.

A new season of Samurai Jack is being made for Adult Swim Toonami. 10 episodes in length, TV14 minimum, set to premier March 2017.

Adult Swim is funding two new 6 episode seasons of FLCL. Expected release is late 2017/early 2018.

Another weak week, no surprises there. Jojo really is not living up to expectations. Strange night for the end with OPM blowing out OP, and almost Naruto as well.

So what does everyone think of Sara's new form?

Muh dick. Also Navi.

Hey Listen!/10

They could have chosen literally anything else but they decided memes were better. I guarantee a hey listen joke in the last Intruder episodes somewhere.

That said, the design is completely squandered if we don't get the weekly banter back. Just a new face saying the same shit 54 times a year otherwise

I dreamt of a toonami general get together. It was awful and gay and not in the good way.

>have Halloween marathon 2 days before Halloween which no one celebrates early or travels for
>don't have one for Thanksgiving which is a much more significant holiday with travel for many

Can this please be explained to me? Not that I mind we are skipping a marathon, I just don't understand this nonsense

Well there are a few potential explanations
>Demarco doesn't want to cuck us out of the last IBO episode for 3 weeks
This is appreciated, but doesn't explain why Halloween wasn't the one they skipped
>Jojo is underperforming and they don't want to magnify it with a marathon
Sorry to the Jojo fans but this is a fact, so far Jojo isn't doing what anyone expected. For comparison, Dimesnison W ratings in the same timeslot with the same lead did 200-400k better from a week to week comparison. It didn't matter if IBO had shitty marathon ratings since its on the way out anyway. They are stuck with Jojo for 2 years minimum and can't afford to have it look any worse this early on
>Demarco listened to the fans regarding marathon spam
Maybe in fantasy land

meems

>Jojo really is not living up to expectations
Depends on whose expectations, it's performing exactly how I said it would so far. If anything I was being too generous and now I believe it will not even break 900k by part 2.

JoJo's only doing poorly because all the normies thought Toonami was going to start immediately from Stardust Crusaders. I doubt any of them even knew there were two arcs before that part.

Oh well. As long as we make it to Battle Tendency and see best JoJo, best waifu, and best villain, I'm happy.

I guess JoJo is just too bizzare.

You guys think we'll get Drifters?

It's not just going to magically get better, that has never ever happened with shows on Toonami. They start at their peak then decline. The real issue is the main audience for Jojo are dub hating weebs, it doesn't have widespread appeal

We won't get anything, there's no room

>We won't get anything, there's no room
Are they going into IBO S2 immediately after S1 ends?

Also DBZ's ending fairly soon, right?

They're not doing the Buu sagas?

Oh, I'd heard it hadn't been dubbed, but apparently it has?

the va's spent the past year dubbing it. theyre finished and are now moving on to super

Ah. On one hand I'm slightly salty because I thought Jojo would move into the first slot and get full OPs. But on the other hand I never finished watching the Buu saga as a kid, so at least I'll be able to finish it.

>Are they going into IBO S2 immediately after S1 ends?

They haven't even begun recording S2, and it's barely started in Japan. If IBO returns, it will be around May of next year.

Maybe we'll get drifters then

I can't wait to rape some fucking elves with /tg/

So I have finally started watching the Dragonball movies for the first time, just watched "Blood Rubies" and I got to thinking.

Would DBZ be as popular in the west as it is now if they played Dragonball first on toonami?

I'd be surprised if we did, Demarco seems to ignore seasonal favorites in favor of shows/franchises that have established western fanbases. Or he just picks something that funi lowballed at him like Dimension W, which nobody saw coming to Toonami.

Probably would have stained its image similar to how the first OP dub forever sullied its reputation in the west.

>3 days since SARA got her new body
>still no porn

Now we are truly dead.

I started something but stopped out of constant distractions

SARA is not for lewds

Would basically be the same but people would enjoy the DB more than Z

Well keep working on it. Do it for best girl.

After I finish the my regional Pokedex in SM

What makes you say that?

Gay.

Also, NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDD.

somethings are better left untouched

Yeah, but not SARA. She really, really needs to be touched.

Meh, I'm comfortable with who I am.

>Would DBZ be as popular in the west as it is now if they played Dragonball first on toonami?

Probably not, if they started with the original Harmony Gold dub.

I g-guess there's still Saturday...

Better get to work, then.

I know that feel. Rule 34 is bullshit. Pic related.

>tfw no WiFi
>dex completion is an unobtainable dream

Ree.

Maybe

With the exception of the OPM rerun, every show was down from last week. I have no idea how ratings go up and down from week to week, were they more consistent before?

oh look, another night showing OPM was the problem, not IBO

Some people don't care for Part 1. JoJo will pick up during Part 2 with Joseph hopefully.

It will pick up at part three because that's the one every one wanted.

>implying people didn't already ditch the show right after the second episode made it clear Stands weren't gonna be a thing

>implying they didn't ditch the moment Dio was accused of being Trump in anime form

Why is normie shit like OPM and JoJo not doing well? Is it because everyone who wanted to watch them has?

Would they benefit from picking up less known shows that people haven't already seen?

Seriously, what color is the sky in your sad little world?

OPM is popular because similar to Attack on Titan and The Walking Dead, it's anime aired in a similar period of total cultural saturation of superhero media.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is harder to make a success because of the series backstory internationally. Viz only published Part 3 at first, then stopped because of the Islamic depiction controversy. In addition the series was a localization nightmare due to the character names.

a cute

>Would they benefit from picking up less known shows that people haven't already seen?

Yes, quality wise. But it wouldn't pay the bills as much as whatever the Twitter crowd is gushing over at the moment.

I don't know, but I don't think that less known shit is going to do better, since there's been like maybe five or six shows in the last 2 years that are Toonami worthy. Most shit is just bullshit SoL waifu-fests with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

The artstyle of Drifters has an established western fanbase. The subject matter appeals to every single weeaboo as well. Also, sexy sexy violence.

HE'S STILL DOING IT LADS!

Exactly, you aren't encouraging people to stay up and lose sleep for a bunch of shows everyone has already watched. Not to mention the current issue of stagnation that is turning people off as well.

Just look at Dimension W, not a person on the planet was demanding it for Toonami, yet it pulled great and consistent ratings. And to top it off, it was a fucking mess of a show, but people still watched because it was fresh material.

It slays my sides when people say long runners will pick up. Do you really think casual viewers are marking their calendars for when the """good""" part starts?

They could do shit like Death Parade. Death Parade is pretty Tonnami.
Basically every season has ONE show that would fit on Toonami in some capacity, even if it was shit.

Shit like Psycho Pass, or that show that was essentially Bones.

That's what I'm saying though. There's like maybe one show like that per season. If that. The rest is SoL waifu-fest moe-shit.

will we still have toonami this time next year

>There's like maybe one show like that per season
That's enough for Toonami, especially when they're so far behind

no

There is years worth of backlog Toonami could get to, even if a few long runners fucked off and we could cycle 3-4 shows again

>Death Parade
>action

Really makes you think

i dont know, what anime could toonami air for the weird deffective people?

Congratulations user-kun

Fights, feels and fancy animation? That one thing by Trigger.

AND NOW
THE DANCE OF SOLITUDE

dance you say?

Toonami doesn't just have to be action.

Eva and Paranoia agent are staples of Toonami. Obviously, Death Parade isn't as good as those, but it's the same kind of thing.

It's not a cutesy SoL

>Sup Forums will literally slobber over this (((THICC))) person

Good, I guess.

SARA got a new form? Pics?

im seriously considering getting into fat girls now.

join us
do it

>They are stuck with Jojo for 2 years minimum

Nope. DeMarco said when they announced Jojo that they only have season 1 right now, the fate of further seasons depends on ratings.

Nothing wrong with liking an endomorph.

We have like, what, 3 episodes of Part 1 left?

Autists on Facebook and Twitter were basically telling people to skip Part 1 and wait for Part 2/3.

I mean, Part 1 is boring, but it's still necessary plot. And it's required to truly appreciate what Part 2 is going to bring.

No one seems to know if Funimation dubbed the Buu Saga of DBZ Kai. If they did, we've got almost 60 episodes left to go. If they didn't, we've got 3.

Meanwhile, DB Super is being dubbed as we speak.

There were some strong hints the Buu saga was being dubbed last year, but apparently there are airing rights issues that might have come up since then. Mostly conjecture and assumptions, but there you go.

Man, I really hope we get a surprise announcement in the next few weeks. It'd be way too jarring jumping from the Cell Saga straight to Super. Even if newborns are the only ones who don't know how it plays out, continuity is important. I'd hate to see a replay of when Kai was airing on Nicktoons.

Also, it's been ages since I watched the Buu saga, and I'd love to see the general's reaction to all the important story beats.

ded

Are you retarded? I think you're retarded.

Sonic > Tatsumaki

>Still not air KlK
>2016

This

They could just skip over Buu, and either air Super or restart Kai.

>restart Kai.

>super
ha
no
Nicktoons got the rights to super

>restart Kai

Toonami is advertised as an action block you dildo. Paranoia Agent was never on Toonami, and Eva at least has a little action, more than IBO for sure

But that's wrong, he said they have access to 1-3 and 1-2 were airing for sure. 3 is the one that's up to ratings

Funimation isn't going to let a huge title like Super go to waste on Toonami, especially when there are likely higher bidders anyway

Sounds like someone doesn't love their waifu enough, there are a few pics of her.

And there were so many qt3.14s in those books, but pic related was best girl; I just want to brush her hair. It's probably where my fetish for creepy waifus came from.

The answer is obvious
Reboot the anime block on Chiller, call it Thriller, air it at the same time as Toonami, and air nothing but DBZ

Or just give it to Nick

This is true.

No they didn't. Nicktoons may as well be a dead network now. It serves less purpose than Boomerang.

I would say Disney XD getting Super is far more likely.

Too safe for the block to let go. Not only would they restart it, it would still be at midnight.
Honestly I don't think nicktoons gives a shit anymore. and I believe DeMarco would make sure we get the rest of Kai or Super.

I'm just surprised Ryufag hasn't turned attention to JoJo.

>a network doesn't give a shit about a ratings goldmine

Retard alert.

I do believe Buu is coming though, Toonami will tank without it and I expect Demarco anticipated that back in 2014
