Who is the best supporting character and why is it Skinner?
This is for recurring only, not guest characters, so discount all those one-off celebrity characters.

The correct answer is C. Montgomery Burns, episodes with him are always going to be watchable, even in current Simpsons

Also

See my vest
See my vest

Chuck Sneed from Sneed's Feed and Seed.
He's recurring because he's always on this board.

chief wiggum

Poor Wiggum.

skinner can be funny, but he's very one note and I don't like harry shearer's voice

...

>I don't like harry shearer's voice
Have I got some good news for you...

HELLO

SMITHERS

YOU'RE QUITE GOOD

AT TURNING

ME ON

I like when they crank the stuffshirt shtick up to eleven.

>Normally I spend my weekends carefully laying out my clothes for the following week

just reminded me of how much I love Lenny's voice

why is lenny more memorable than carl?

Hibbert is underrated
He never has any episodes focused on him but he has a ton of good scenes.

yup

He's the sillier one so he gets a lot more jokes, Carl is the straight man.

>Please don't tell anyone how I live...

Grandpa.

Hmmm....probably should ignore that.

Lionel Hutz, followed by Troy McClure

>This is the most flagrant case of false advertising since my case against the makers of the film The Neverending Story.

Hutz was great.

Burnsie, it's your old roomie, Dink!

Notice the amount of posters in this thread.
Makes you think, huh?

>I'll sell you this one, it's almost full!

Personally I love Jasper.

Eh, too cornball!

Clancy Wiggum could carry a spin-off shoe on his own.

did you just say a spin-off shoe?

Yes

THen why do you post Armin Tamzarian?

Just the usual simpsons-fags circlejerking and samefagging in their le "comfy" thread.

What was his problem?

He's recurring within the show desu

He looks like a fucking maniac here. Seems like loss of his business hit him hard.

Krusty has the deepest lore.

Care to join me in a belt of scotch?

He did

...

>I can see! All the beauty of nature
*zap*
>...I'm blind! Well , easy come easy go

In that one episode and it was hilarious.
I'd totally watch his own show.
Considering they have the right writers for it.

Sneed is recurring, too.

Truth.

Sneed

He's Skinner, formerly Armin.

...

Chuck

His reaction to TEN HIGH PRICED LAWYERS is the best.

Look at the country boy pulling up in his fancy German tractor.

This.

No Brockman, really?

The gang's all here.

Imagine being roomates with Burns. That's his problem.

>Who is the best supporting character and why is it Skinner?

It's not.

Seconding

I'm sure it's because people have no patience for Kenny Brocklestein disguising his Jewish heritage.

Lenny is responsible for at least 5 of my favourite scenes

THE KILLBOT FACTORY

Thaw him out when robot wives are cheap and effective.

What was this context again?

>punching him

NOT LENNY!

RIP Lenny

Why does Chalmers sound exactly like Wiggum?

It's 9 in the morning...

Forgetting someone?

Story of my life

Yale vs Harvard and how Yale will always be first in "gentlemanly club life". He pulls the blinds down a second after Dink shows up and shudders.

He doesn't?

I would rate them(based on the S3-S9 that's what I watch):
1.Moe
2.Skinner
3.Chief Wiggum.
4.Burns
5.Flanders

I love every scene in Moe's tavern, it's so comfy.

Listen to him in the steamed hams segment. Chalmers sounds like a more refined intelligent chief wiggum

Burns is a dick.

Moe gets enough episodes and fleshed out way more than other recurring characters save for Flanders.
Kinda unfair for the others to be honest.

Why don't you watch season 2, user?

>I don't know why Yale bothered to show up this year, Smithers, they hardly even won!

LEMONADE?

...

And that's how I earned the Iron Cross...

This, season 2 has way too much gold to ignore. They really found their footing in this season. There's still the occasional weird season 1 style episode but easy to pass over.

I don't remember him having that many episodes in Golden Age. Feels like they had him with a lot of episodes later on, or at least I recall him having a lot of episodes around the time I stopped watching new, which was long ago by now.

>I love every scene in Moe's tavern, it's so comfy.
t h i s

>coworker getting into an argument with the boss
>"Fuck you man, you're like Mr Burns except you're broke."
>"Who?"

I lost what little respect I had for my boss in that moment.

Ok Hugh was only in one episode so I am stretching it, but this is less an answer to OP and more a general question, but this is totally Hugh in Bart of Darkness, right?

I've got something even better for you, a rubella inoculation!

No Sideshow Bob? Has at least four of the best episodes

Yes.

You are incorrect, it was when they started focusing on Burns that they produced the first absolute stinkers and he is used as a cheap and inconsistent set up gag in an incredible number of bad episodes, always stemming from trying to drive a 150 year old car or reminiscing about the Crimean War. The 'prank monkey' episode was the first time I realised it had become terrible.

Itchy and Scratchy

>Buck Feed
Formerly Sneed Seed
This meme is bottomless

That was when they started focusing on him as a protagonist, there are tons of episodes in the early seasons focusing on him, but he's the villain, and they are great.

Even the ones where he isn't the villain, like Rosebud, are classics. They started misusing him as just the butt of jokes later, that was the problem. He's actually an effective villain in the golden age.

Season 1 and 2 are the ultimate pleb filters of any media, a person that disregards them should be disregarded on Sup Forums as they are in turn disregarded in real life.

>imagine being this asspained that nobody even remembers your piece of shit retarded reddit trash meme
Lmao

1 is not that great though, it has a few good episodes but most of it is just awkward

>sneed spammer is S E E T H I N G
I love actual simpsons threads

He tries to use the same shit narrative in every thread he spams, even though it makes zero sense in this one, which is a regular discussion thread for the show with a specific topic.

Anyway, back to the chatter, which one of the family members has the most consistent best episodes?

Homer obviously

Homer has the biggest volume of them so he's got a leg up. Though actually Bart has the most episodes in the earliest seasons.

i find krusty centered episodes really boring

In the golden age....Lisa

It says Buck Seed

Definitely Sneed. Sneed from Sneed's Feed and Seed.

I say Lenny. So many great passing scenes with him.
