>Patrick Wilson has been set by Warner Bros and director James Wan to costar in Aquaman. Jason Momoa plays the title character, and Wilson will play the fish whisperer’s super-villain half brother ORM, also known as Ocean Master, in the DC film that Warner Bros will release October 5, 2018. The character has some of the sibling rivalry elements found in Loki. That is Thor’s half brother who has figured as the heavy in numerous Marvel films, in the form of Tom Hiddleston. ORM is at least as disagreeable and more powerful: in the comics, Aquaman’s human half-brother is a rival for the throne of Atlantis, and wreaks havoc on the high seas and beneath them when he doesn’t get his way. Amber Heard as Mera, is playing Queen of Atlantis.
Who cares? The DLCEU is already dead. Get ready for the Batman film to restart another universe.
Adrian Rogers
They are half brothers anyway.
Jacob Powell
>Nite Owl became the US President and now sets his sight on ruling Atlantis. BASED
Hudson Perez
Fuck yeah. Wilson is such an underrated actor
Andrew Cook
I know. It's just in the world of fiction half-siblings still have a resemblance. This is cool though. I like Wilson (was disappointed when he dropped out of Ant-Man) and I like Orm so I have been, and always shall be, excited for Aquaman.
Ryder Richardson
>Who cares? The DLCEU is already dead. Get ready for the Batman film to restart another universe. The DCEU might be dead, but that doesn't mean we can't try to appreciate the movies on their own merits.
Anyway, I'm down with this. We've already had it confirmed that Manta is appearing, yes?
Chase Moore
He's a great actor and has worked with Wan before. He can be a great Orm. The guys at Aquaman Shrine are hinting that he'll be based on John's Orm which is great, in my opinion.
Jaxson Parker
Remember that time Nite-Owl was Khal Drago's evil brother?
Yet another good actor absorbed into the bloated pulsating mass of bleak misery that is the WB DC movieverse
Dominic Long
>Who cares? The DLCEU is already dead. Sorry, bro. BvS and SS were WB's #1 and #2 earning movies this year and their #5 and #7 all-time highest domestic earners. Nothing is going to stop more DCEU movies from coming out. Unfortunately MoS is going to be pushed further down this list by it's offspring. Good night, sweet prince.
Jason Wilson
Wish he was Barry Allen.
Luis Morgan
Remember that time Mister Fantastic had to break up with Supergirl so he could be in J Jonah Jameson's jazz band?
Jaxson Lopez
>Good actor do supporting roles in blockbuster for easy money
Nothing new here.
Grayson Johnson
>MoS sequel >at all
At best you're getting a Batman team-up
Easton Price
>that page
And then Orm went on to do fucking nothing in Forever Evil
Joseph Morris
Didn't mention anything about a MoS sequel, Mr Illiterate Shitposter.
Angel Stewart
I wanted him for Captain Atom. Damn.
Jayden Jackson
They're so good they elevate the poor writing they're given. Without them the movies would've been even worse.
Zod and Jor-El were the best parts of MAN OF STEEL, Alfred was the best part of BATMAN V SUPERMAN, and Kevin Costner and Laurence Fishburne are pretty good too despite being the most shortchanged by the writing.
Logan Moore
I like to think he stayed at that house, watching over the woman and kid until it was all over.
Ian Harris
They're all great actors and I'm cheesed off that they're absolutely wasted with the material they're given
Wilson's understated performance was the best part of Fargo S2
Jayden Lewis
Crowe and Shannon did well with what they were given, Irons and Adams were great, Lane is pretty good, Simmons will probably be used well, Costner was wasted and Fishburne is being wasted.
The efficiency in which they use Dafoe will hinge on whether he'll just be an underwater Obi-Wan or the morally gray extremist from the New 52.
Liam Sanchez
I wouldn't say any of the actors listed were wasted besides Costner and Fishburne. I could always use more Fishburne. Also we haven't seen DaFoe, Simmons, and Wilson yet.
Grayson Foster
Very good choice!
Jose Watson
He looks like Chris Pratt
Adam Bennett
This guy He's always good. Can't complain about this casting anyway.
Isaiah Foster
If you're fuckin blind I guess.
Caleb Rogers
Well, he really does
Jason Bell
Fuuuuuuck yeaaaaaaah!
Adrian Watson
I approve this.
And speaking of Orm, where the hell is my Rise of the Seven Seas Johns/Abnett/Reis?
Joshua Gonzalez
Nah he looks like Matthew McConaughey.
Leo Clark
You guys are dumb! He looks like Will Arnett
Levi Perry
>watching over
Chase Jenkins
>MFW Orm sent a nuke to Superman in BvS.
My sides.
Logan Morales
>BvS and SS were WB's #1 and #2 earning movies this year and their #5 and #7 all-time highest domestic earners. Doesn't really mean anything when the budgets are expensive.

>or the morally gray extremist from the New 52.
As Cereal King is the Kevin Feige of the DCEU I'm pretty sure we're getting morally gray.
Dylan Lopez
Top KEK!
Dominic Hernandez
THIS IS THE BEST CASTING NEWS I'VE EVER FUCKING SEEN
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Liam Morales
>The DLCEU is already dead. >Suicide Squad crushes Mousevel's offerings >b-but it's dead, Mickey media told me so!
Mouseketeers, when will they learn?
Luis Lee
Honestly, between them and DC false flaggers, this online korean got porn forum is the worst.
Hudson Murphy
Now if only they managed to make a film that wasn't complete shit.
Bentley Martin
>being this wrong
Matthew King
It would be nice, but you can't expect much from modern D*sney. At least we have Ooga Chaka 2: Bride of Memes to look forward to!
Christopher Johnson
>Patrick Wilson played the President of the United States in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice >Turns out he was playing Orm the entire time Who here is ready for Throne of Atlantis?
Austin Smith
This is b8. It's expertly crafted b8, perfectly designed to get under people's skin, but it's b8 nonetheless.
You did your best, user. Here's a (you) for effort.
Caleb Mitchell
Do you have any tape?
Angel Hernandez
Yes, why?
Zachary Martinez
Holy shit, Doctor Strange did worse than WS? WS did so bad they stopped making Captain America movies.
Gavin Johnson
They made The First Avenger, which remains the only good Marvel movie.
Camden King
I meant "if only DC was capable of making a movie that wasn't complete shit." I apologize, I thought that was obvious.
Colton James
Oh, so you're retarded.
Gavin Taylor
>President Orm nukes Superman and Doomsday. >Aquaman comes out of hiding to stop him before he can nuke again. DEEPEST LORE
Aaron Ward
>Oh, so you're retarded. Oh, so you haven't actually watched a DC movie, or are deluded enough to think they were competently made.
Nathaniel Green
>Batman
A Batfleck solo movie is in the same universe, idiot for brains.
Jackson Bailey
>I would never picture them as brother
>half brothers
If Orm has the same mother, AND Mamoa gets his coloring and looks ONLY from his father, it might be reasonably plausible, but I thought they were going with ALL Atlanteans being/looking like Mamoa since that's what he tweeted and said when he was cast (and either Snyder said it or implied it and/or Mamoa 'quoted' him and the "producer" wife as saying such).
He's an excellent actor. And totally willing to do genre films and doesn't really do crappy scripts so I think it mostly bodes well.
Elijah Gomez
Damn, I was hoping/expecting Black Manta first.
But at least this film is looking better and better now.
Jacob Adams
Yeah I thought they were going with Atlanteans having the Hawaiian vibes, and then Arthur's dad being white (or also just a straight up Hawaiian guy) but it looks like Atlantis might be white people. Or just really diverse.
Logan Harris
>WB's #1 and #2 earning movies this year and their #5 and #7 all-time highest domestic earners
I'm not disagreeing with you, but as someone who lives in LA and worked in Hollywood, in the industry, you (and everyone else here) need to realize that the studios TODAY and in the most recent past, care about the worldwide grosses.
Finding Dory made more money in North America (because domestic is really USA and Canada, plus a few other things, depending on where your numbers come from, like PR) BUT Civil War made more on the planet.
To your numbers, yes BOTH movies were WB biggest earners for 2016 so far. However, Fantastic Beast is less than $100M away from beating Suicide Squad worldwide and more than probably will easily do so. Fantastic Beast probably has easily two more months in release (most movies have about 15+ weeks of release) and will easily make probably $100 million more and possibly another $125-140. The lowest grossing Potter movie made more than SS, and with inflation, FB should easily get there.
Nah.
Fishburne is a bit overrated as an actual actor, I don't even think he'd be considered the fourth best Perry even if he had better writing, but yes, both of them were not well-served by the writing. Really, the only one on the Superman side who was well-served was Adams as Lois, but that's only true in MoS. Crowe was good and should be used again, versus the Costner horse's BS scene.
It's pointless to talk about actors without seeing their scenes, nothing being on film, not even trailers.
Samuel Ward
>>It's pointless to talk about actors without seeing their scenes, nothing being on film, not even trailers.
yeah, we all attacked Ben Affleck till a month out of the movie.
Isaiah Thomas
>Nite Owl is Orm >The Comedian is Thomas Wayne >Dr. Manhattan is Henry Allen
Jace Gray
>who cares? >clicks thread baka
Ryan Adams
OCEAN MAN TAKE ME BY THE HAND, LEAD ME TO THE LAND THAT YOU UNDERSTAND
Daniel Wood
Not the person I'd go with but I like Patrick Wilson. I think he could possibly pull it off. Personally, I'd go with someone with more 'dangerous' appeal.
Nolan Hill
Should've been Flash. Instead we got El Flasho (Diaz)
Noah King
Oh boy I cant wait to see WBs failed attempt at ripping off Loki. I know there different but I dont believe WB knows that
Bentley Perry
Why would Atlanteans look like Pacific islanders?
That doesn't make any sense.
Robert Peterson
K I N O I N O
Hunter Williams
>Better name >Better costume >pure Atlantean heritage
Why don't they skip the aquaman flick and go straight to making Ocean Master kino?
Jaxon Ross
>Still shitting on based Ezra.
Please get taste.
Parker Rodriguez
Alright Paco. Have fun with Speedy Gonzalez
Matthew Johnson
>Lel his mustache makes him look like a Mexican xD XD Literally begging you to get taste.
Cameron Sanders
Who do you cast Jackie Earl Haley as in the DCEU?
Kayden Roberts
His hair is also black, he has a scraggly beard and HE's not even a "he"
Jace Roberts
Dessaad
Julian Hernandez
Just give him sunglasses.
Blake Gomez
I don't know why, but the first thing I thought of was Kite-Man.
Jackson Anderson
>DLCEU
Kevin Rivera
He's too ugly to play Orm.
Daniel Evans
Maybe, just maybe, the thought might have crossed your mind that these films are actually, objectively, GOOD films?
nah. who am I talking to? This is Sup Forums, home to the hivemind
Cooper Garcia
Are you high?
Aaron Clark
I hope they don't mess this up and go with shitty pre-New 52 Orm or even Throne of Atlantis Orm basically I don't want this
>The character has some of the sibling rivalry elements found in Loki. That is Thor’s half brother who has figured as the heavy in numerous Marvel films, in the form of Tom Hiddleston.
Evil half-brother has been done to death.
yeah after Geoff teased him a lot, I kind of wanted him to confront Manta about him having Arthur's trident.
Levi Davis
Wasn't he going to play young Hank Pym in Aunt Man? Before What's his face of the Dead ragequit?
Mason Russell
>the fish whisperer
triggered
Evan Ward
>hero looks more villainous than the villain
Landon Wood
Nice
Jose Kelly
Just popping in to say that Snyder's entries in the DCEU are amazing, and the SS is a fine popcorn flick that features the most faithful to the (good) comics Joker yet.
Logan Collins
>these films are actually, objectively, GOOD films?
They objectively are not.
Dylan Clark
No, he was going to be Scott Lang's ex-wife's new boyfriend. The role that ultimately went to Bobby Cannavale.
Then again, by the time Wilson was attached, it was a much bigger role.
