I'd love to crack his stupid bald head open like an egg

...

I thought that faggot got chased off by the same SJWs he virtue signals towards. Fucking retard never learns.

What happened? Did he lose his fedora?

Stop obssessing over celebrities.

You are a faggot OP.

Hell, "you" did nothing, you just want to feel like you managed to hurt some person that doest even know that you exist, because you are already quite miserable.

Another day, another namefag filtered.

What's Joss crying about now

fuck you this is all Drumpf's fault

probably has something to do with that "education" lady and the dictatorial way she was confirmed

I thought he deleted his twitter ages ago

Go to bed Joss, your wife could get mad

The procedure to give him a vagina was a fail. He's stuck being a fucking white male.

please stop live

This thread sure is comics and cartoons!

Aww, poor Joss Whedon is depressed that his quips and witticisms can't stop the reality that is the current US presidency? How sad for him! Maybe he should curl up under his Avengers blankie and sip on some hot cocoa while he watches Buffy recordings and tries to think of a time when he mattered.

Little fucking bitch, I revel in his shame and self-pity. Call me edgy if you want (lord knows I probably deserve it) but I hate Whedon so deeply it nearly consumes me whenever I see a picture of his smug face. I hate him as a writer, as a """""celebrity""""" and I hate him as a human being, so when he suffers I grow stronger.

>dictatorial
What do you mean?

That's an unkind thing to say.

Man, it's almost like making Age of Ultron a film solely to set up future films backfired...

the vice president stepped in when Democrats wouldn't vote for her and just put her in anyway

classic fucking dictator move

>the vice president
Mike "the electric fence" Pence?

He blew his load on Gamergate and didn't have anything left for Trump. Sad!

that's the one

Uh, dude. The vote was 50-50 and he cast a tiebreaker vote. That's literally been the vice president's only job since the position was created.

Great, now go realize your life has been a mistake, you ruined the MCU and SJWs are wrong
or just kill yourself

>VP does his job
>"THE SYSTEM IS RIGGED!!!!!!"
Typical.

Everyone go home.

>breaking a tie vote is a dictator move

ok lol

Adachi, don't you have work you could be ignoring?

Little late to being bitching about that isn't it? Capeshit movies are the main focus of Sup Forums these days.

>>thread taken over by Sup Forums, again

on his own nominee

fucking disgusting

Sup Forums is the new bogeyman.

Were the Bush times this bad regarding their opponents being shrieking lunatics?

Because even Obama's opponents weren't THIS bad. And even if they were, they were more hilarious. (I mean how do you top trying to build a DEATH RAY to give Obama cancer?)

Well we've also not had a president at this point running with less than half his cabinet.

He broke us with age of ultron

Never go full SJW not even once.

A billionaire with 0 educational experience was appointed to head up education on the express command of the vice-president despite giving obviously false statements of her experience and intent during the hearing before the vote, which was split by a greater degree than any appointee in the 40-year history of the role.

This isn't just governance by decree, it's the exact shit George III pulled to make Britain great again. It's going to create a generation of fundie idiots who'll spend more time fighting among themselves on religious grounds than ever before. The US economy of 2030 is fucked, because by then there won't be any immigration. Nobody will want to come and do those shit jobs, and nobody homegrown will be smart enough to do boring shit like medicine or economics.

The guy publicly left Marvel and the Avengers two years ago... but you obviously know that because you follow him on twitter.

John Adams would probably disagree with you, as would John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, Andrew Johnson, Chester A. Arthur, Theodore Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Harry S. Truman, Lyndon B. Johnson and Gerald R. Ford, who all took on the office of president after the incumbent died or was impeached (Nixon was impeached but immediately pardoned by Ford).

It's kind of surprising a guy who knows so much about US history doesn't know about those 9 presidents who were the backup. The fact that the VP has never actually had to cast that vote ought not to be a surprise to you, though. You're a true patriot with an excellent grasp of the facts, clearly.

But the jokes!

>thread taken over by Sup Forums
>it's mainly salty bitching about Mike Pence
I don't think that's Sup Forums, user.

Also it was a shit thread from the first post. OP is a faggot.

>gets bullied because he's too PC
>at the same time gets bullied for not being PC enough

Bush made questionable decisions but at least tried to find people with relevant experience to fill his cabinet, not just big donors. He also (both times, and in common with every prior and subsequent administration) managed to pick his staff prior to confirmation. Trump hasn't even bothered to appoint ambassadors to most allied nations, despite insisting the previous ambassadors all step down the moment he became president.

On top of that, he's taking weekends off and already committed a huge number of SEALs to a raid that makes Benghazi look like a child's birthday party.

But what did you expect? The guy couldn't even make money running casinos.

>tfw to inteligent to know what the VPs job is

Republicanfriends are salty about Pence because they were *sure* he was going to be the actual president and Trump would be kind of like the queen of England, talking shit but not actually doing anything.

Go home Lewis.

Turns out Pence is a team player and just doing what needs to be Trump.

It may be the VP's job to pull tiebreakers, but the fact that Pence is the first one who's actually had to DO it for an appointee shows a far deeper level of division than normal.

but they have the nazi klan member why would they be upset by that?

Wew lad, that delusion.

>I was funny for a while

Oh, Whedon. No you weren't.

Before 2013, presidential appointees had to be approved by a supermajority (60 votes). This means that tiebreaker votes never happened, since even if the vp casted a tiebreaker vote the nominee wouldn't be confirmed. In 2013 Reid and the Democrats changed the rules so that presidential appointees could be confirmed with a simple majority of 51, because they had control of the senate and wanted to push through a bunch of liberal appointees. This is the first time the rules have allowed for the vp to cast a tiebreaker vote for a cabinet appointee, and the Democrats have only themselves to blame.

>John Adams would probably disagree with you
No he wouldn't. Adams absolutely hated being vice president, he thought it was the most powerless and useless position in the government.

Yeah, if Trump dies Pence becomes president, but that isn't exactly an active job.

it shows division but its not dictorial

are you cancer? yeah, you are

Not that guy but the Dems were fucking autists for pulling that shit.

Devos is still by far the worst pick on the cabinet though, and that says a fucking lot.

I just want someone to tell me one good fucking reason why Betsy Devos was the best possible pick for the job. Not why she isn't as bad as everyone thinks, why the President of the United States of America physically cannot do better than this smug cunt. I know Burgers love their pay-to-win political machine but jesus christ this is too far.

She has nothing to do with the parasitic teachers unions that have been blocking real reform for decades and has been a stalwart advocate for school choice and reform while not being part of a corrupt system.

Sounds better than other choices available at the time.

Is this new? I thought Whedon quit the internet two years ago.

Nothing of value was lost.

>Not that guy but the Dems were fucking autists for pulling that shit.

They weren't autists, they were paid off to do so. The same donors control the corporatist Democrats as control the corporatist Republicans. The lobby-friendly Democrats are the fall guy, always pretending to have morals and lying about it, the lobby-friendly Republicans get to push through whatever it is they want after a bit of smoke and mirrors. It's been that way for more than a decade.

And nothing of value is lost keeping him as far away as possible from any Blade project on the horizon.

>Dems were fucking autists for pulling that shit.
they figured Republicans would never be elected again due to shifting demographics

and they would've been right if they hadn't run the shittiest fucking candidate this side of Mitt Romney

And this is another example of why America is a mess. Regardless of who's in charge.

I really don't like hearing millionaires whine.

We get it Joss. You chucked half a million into Hilary's campaign and lost. How about you throw some of that money towards a decent cause instead of virtue signaling sack of shit.

>Nixon was impeached but immediately pardoned by Ford
Nixon was also never indicted, charged with or convicted of a crime. Ford pardoned him proactively so that he couldn't be charged after he stepped down in order to put the entire Watergate scandal to rest. Read a fucking book.

Well the most selfish generation ever growing up and noting that nothing got fixed in the last eight. Guess a few went "why the hell not?"

Thank you Correcting the Record (TM).

I hear Berkley is looking for a new lead donar.

It's like the more you find out why the Republicans can currently get away with doing such things, the more you realise it's because their enemies unintentionally GAVE them the means to do so through while they were exercising their own power.

>an advocate for choice and reform while not being part of the system

hmm now where have i heard that before

I think Dave would tell him that if his films are breaking a billion easy, his audience and critical review scores are high, that maybe it's a mistake to put stock into the incessant bitching of jaded, unimaginative and bitchy fatguys on the internet.

I think Dave would just smash his smartphone, give him a stripped down cell phone, and tell him to make a fucking movie.

Not only do are Internet Amateur Critics impossible to please, they have no idea what IS good, or what they want. Fuck them, they are a tiny fraction of the audience.

You can't make movies and worry about what Basement Dwelling Faggot feels about it.

>The fact that the VP has never actually had to cast that vote ought not to be a surprise to you, though.

Exactly. Yes, it's the VP's job to act as a tie-breaker. There's no reason it should ever come up, though. In the almost three decades that there's been a Secretary of Education, there's been 44 no votes for confirmation spread among the TEN people who have held the position. Mostly because both sides of the aisle agree that public education is important and that investing in kids is investing in America.

DeVos earned herself 50 no votes alone. That ought to be a warning sign. But nah, bring on the charter schools! Surely people with profit first and foremost on their minds will be good for our children.

Mitt Romney probably would've won against someone other than the First Black President, but he also ran a terrible campaign and apparently decided to bag it after the first debate, so I won't argue too strenuously that he wasn't a shitty candidate. He wasn't my first choice, anyway.

They would have been that bad if 9/11 hadn't happened. By the time Katrina hit, libs were starting to meltdown bad.

To be fair tha was mostly not their fault.

Non-burger here. What did exactly happened this time, and why is everybody freaking out?

Its why he's picking folks that already well fit, they won't be looking to use the government to fill their coffers like all the others in Washington.

>I really don't like hearing millionaires whine.
that reminds me when are the Oscars again?

Should he have stepped aside and begged for a law to be passed that would allow someone else to vote in his stead?

What is your logic here? Of course being liberal I'm sure you abhor that dreaded word, "logic".

Again, that's just not being the worst possible option.

You're telling me that the US couldn't get ANYONE ELSE to do the job? We have literal billions of dollars to throw at all sorts of off the wall shit, but somehow getting anyone that wasn't apart of a teacher union was too hard?

And school choice is a shit meme. To quote Sup Forums, putting in tax dollars to fund the schools that are keeping the public school system shitty is "literally cuckoldry". And I say this as a proud product of Jesus School.

I'd take any sources on the reform part.

At this point I'm just wondering who's next. We had what's-his-face in 04, old-dude in 08, Mitt in 2012, of course Hillary last year, how far are we going to sink before we hit absolute rock bottom in terms of depressingly lukewarm candidates?

A person who has made an active effort to diminish and defund public education is now in charge of public education, and has restated her commitment to defund public education

...

How do i delete a post. I am new here.

>they won't be looking to use the government to fill their coffers
You really think that Billionaires stop thinking about increasing their wealth for even a single second?
I don't even agree with all the points being made against you, but that is goddamn dumb.

They are billionaires PRECISELY because they devote their brainpower to swelling their wealth 24/7.

That doesn't sound very good.

It's going to be either someone more bought than Hillary or someone just as bought but able to hide it.

Either is a loser in this climate.

Betsy Davos, a longtime education reform advocate, was nominated to be Secretary of Education. Because education in the United States is dominated by the teachers unions, which actively work to advance the interests of public school bureaucrats ahead of the interests of students, the entire Democrat caucus and a handful of liberal Republicans voted against her confirmation. This resulted in a 50/50 tie in the Senate, requiring the Vice President to cast the tie-breaking vote.

This is the Vice President's job. It's specifically described in the Constitution.

So Davos got confirmed 51/50 and the liberal left in the United States is losing its collective mind.

Yea but not from the government. Which is the point.

To be quite frank, sounds good to me considering the state of public education at the moment.

I doubt you'd ever see a private school even consider teaching "common core".

>which actively work to advance the interests of public school bureaucrats ahead of the interests of students,

The fuck does that even mean

Her ideas are pretty shit, but at this point fucking up the American Education System is like throwing a match and gasoline on a garbage pile.

she can hardly do more damage that the state of Texas.

>But what did you expect? The guy couldn't even make money running casinos.
>saying this about Donald Trump of all people
You either know next to nothing about the man or you are delusional to the point of genuinely believing the "FIVE BUSINESSES WENT BANKRUPT!" shit that gets passed around without ever researching past the headlines.

Same concept as politicians putting their personal careers ahead of the people they represent.

Funneling money out of public schools ain't gonna solve shit

It'll just make it even harder for the kids of the working class to get a decent education and the under-educated crime ridden areas of the nation are only going to get worse

You really are from Reddit, aren't you?

The VPence just pushed through Trump's most controversial cabinet pick, Betsy Devos, for Secretary of Education. She's been accused of being a blatant "scratch my back I'll scratch yours" pick for having little-to-no experience in the education field, paying a lot of money to/getting a lot of money from big money Republicans, and for supporting "school choice", aka vouchers for private school education, which the left fear will result in parents being forced between failing public schools, super expensive secular private schools, or mediocre Jesus Schools operated purely for profit (note that these are all accusations from the left, not taking a side here).

It's a big deal because Education in the US has been in a rough spot for at least two decades now. Liberals want to throw big businesses out of the system, conservatives want to tear the whole system down and rebuild it from scratch.

Billionaires have required favorable treatment from the government just to BE billionaires, and not millionaires.

Report and ignore the piece of shit user. Don't even give it a (You).

So is she trying to reinforce Common Core or get rid of it?

It means that who gives a fuck if Tyrone can read when he turns eighteen, as long as Mrs. Krabapple's pension is returning 8% a year. There's real money tied up in education and most of it doesn't even pay for teachers, it goes to the overhead involved in paying for mid-level drones to administer the schools.

Last I heard Trump hated Common Core but I could be misinformed or Trump could've changed his mind again.

Thank you for breaking down shitty buzzword posts.

Vouchers for charter schools, less public funds for government-run education.
