Notice how some of the cast of Netflix' most successful original shows have been thrown under the bus for drugs (Stranger Things lad) and kiddie fiddling (Spacey) now too.
Hollywood used to keep that sort stuff quiet

no, i dont recall the last time i watched a Disney film. Get that garbage out of my netflix.

>the streaming home for Pixel, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Disney Animation as well as Disney TV shows.

>what can we do today to look even more evil than we already are?

When will someone step in and save us all from the fascists (meaning Disney)?

Which one does Sup Forums hate the most Netflix or Disney?

Me? Netflix.

could Disney keep up this "Disney Vault" shit if they had a streaming service?

Don't read unless you're planning to kill yourself, but monopolies are back and here to stay, and the future is going to be a living hell.

janeeckhout.com/wp-content/uploads/RMP.pdf

Once again, we work ourselves away further and further from a grand repository of movies where we can access whichever fucking new releases or childhood favorites or nostalgia faps that we want to.

Why do you hate Netflix?

The Jews finally won. Good for them, I guess.

Cinema Theaters on suicide watch
TV Channels on suicide watch

You tried to kill us so you can reap the whirlwind faggot. Our world now.

Wait until the ISPs start the assfuckfest. Our bills will look like this:

>Normal service we already pay for: $80
>Unlimited bandwidth fee: $50 (will become $100)
>Unlimited website access fee: $100 (unless you want to subscribe to the individual packages at $5-10 a pop)

We'll go from paying around $100 to $300 and WITHOUT GETTING ANY FUCKING ADDED BENEFIT WHATSOEVER. It's nerve racking.

If IP didn't exist. And if government stopped protecting share holders liabilities, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Disney, for sure.

That's only a problem if you have one ISP in your city.

Verizon and Comcast don't overlap here. I'm lucky though right now--knock on fucking wood--that they didn't implement the data caps yet.

WE ARE DOOMED AND IT'S ALL DISNEY'S FAULT (ALSO NETFLIX)

Netflix is emblematic of the fucking insanity of the tech bubble. It doesn't make money, it just keeps racking up debt that its projected monetization can't support, but its stock keeps rising year on year. It's ludicrous.

Recently realized that the Criterion collection started their own streaming service and took their films from Hulu. I realized that streaming is going to die because every faggot wants their own service and people wont pay for it. Piracy will only increase in popularity. We actually need Netflix to survive. This would be like Blockbuster collapsing without a good replacement (netflix).

Disney, absolutely.

A lot of economists would agree with you, but mass media companies such have enormous power to sway legislation that nothing is going to change for a long time, if ever.

We should remove net neutrality to those companies will have to foot the bill which will cause internet media monopolies to crumble.

that's to keep disney from buying them outright. they'd need to assume all that debt, so netflix keeps borrowing

I'm not paying a subscription to watch Star Wars movies and Avengers flicks

>tfw people thought cutting the cord would be cheaper
>tfw there will be infinite streaming services for each company
>tfw you will have to pay for them all if you want all the content

>post yfw its the series finale for America

I'm only three pages into this but it already has me reaching for my shotgun. How the fuck did we let these kikes get away with this?

Either pirate or buy physical media cheap. The only sensible options.

>We should remove the only thing helping small companies compete against giant monopolies

You're fucking retarded. The cost will be pushed onto the consumer or Disney or some shit will just buy time warner and put all other companies out of business.

disney was good for a longer time than it was shit. netflix was never good

Just stockpile all you can in preparation for a sudden lack of access to your favorite movies and shows. Then when everyone's freaking out about it or paying out the ass, you can sit pretty because you hoarded everything you could possibly need.

>Facebook charges users
You have a very limited view of the internet.

Disney.

BUT MUH CAPITALISM
REEEEEEEEEEE

i would seriously consider joining a disney streaming service if it had access to all of disney's media library

Nice bait.

If you hate Netflix more, it's clear retardation. Netflix isn't actively destroying media.

Most won’t survive. They just don’t have the pull to get people to subscribe. There is a limit to how many different services people will subscribe to and bother to use. If it’s made too difficult to find what you’re looking for, which is already happening, people will just go back to piracy.

Disney by far.

Shut down this thread right now, you jealous goy.

>Netflix isn't actively destroying media.
top lel you stupid fucking redditor

Oh I agree. If IP law was only like 20years, we would all be better for it. Better movies, art, tv.

I know that the Jews at Disney have Congress and the masses in their pockets. Because of this, I would be all for trust busting this shit because fuck it, we are not a free market at all at this point.

However, Disney would probably be able to prevent even trust busting.

Also, does Mickey mouse stop getting IP protection this year?

net neutrality already doesn't apply to mobile ISPS and guess what? instead of charging for certain services, carriers are offering FREE unlimited access to certain services to remain competitive. I guess you don't need regulation when your service isn't a government sponsored monopoly

>T.Cable television executive.

Tell me how. Did netflix make capeshit and all of its spinoff's which are homogenizing the whole industry into cinematic bland universes.

Go ahead, actually have an argument.

Or did your feefees got hurt because they made a gay character?

>in the year 2025 cable TV will be obsolete
>but youll have to be subscribed to several different streaming services instead
>war never changes

CBS all access streaming service, where Star Trek Discovery airs, has fucking ads that play during your streams. A stream you pay for. Pirate life for me.

Hulu was the same way. I haven’t used it in years so I don’t know if that has changed.

It's called piracy. Why is this even an issue?

...

Is this really how its gonna end. Socialism when.

This. Studios will make more by dumping their products into one big pool. That way they stand to increase their viewership, plus they can package the bad with the good. The bad will blend in with every other studio's terrible shit, but if they present just their own products, once a subscriber has sifted through all the duds and watched the stuff that appeals to them, they can just unsub and move onto the next service. You will see a lot of roaming consumers. If Netflix has 100 MM subs or whatever and they can't even turn a fucking profit, how can the studios when they're dumping even more money into OC?

Fair warning, when all of this shit collapses due to incompetence they're going to come after piracy as the scapegoat, again.

>Socialism when
Like every other instance. When its enforced unwillingly on a population by a despot or oligarchy. Do you even history?

>rooting for Disney over netflix

You're a special kind of cancer

>Did netflix make capeshit and all of its spinoff's which are homogenizing the whole industry into cinematic bland universes
butthurt redditor self hating cape shit enthusiast detected
>b-but capeshit used to be good!
suicide yourself

Fuck off with your lazy ass bait.

Netflix is blowing all their money making original content. They plan to spend 9 billion in coming years. They are hoping for an AMAZON style success by playing the long game. Disney is the only one that could give them a run for their money but disney had their own premium channel on TV and people abandoned it and it became a regular cable channel. Not enough content or long term interest.

Did you just buy your first smart phone this year? Carriers have been putting data caps on their network for years. They only brought back unrestricted data limits because of competition--which doesn't fucking exist in 95% of the country as far as ISPs go. Go spew your halfassed Ayn Rand nonsense somewhere else.

Well this is all very fucking terrifying.

America's to stupid for that. It's just gonna turn into like 5 different countries of different gangs fighting each other.

i wonder if the fox deal will also scoop up the MGM library that fox has been distributing

>Fair warning, when all of this shit collapses due to incompetence they're going to come after piracy as the scapegoat, again.

And when has that ever actually stopped anything? Kodiboxes are wide spread as fuck now. Even old farts with no idea what a torrent or streamed video is, are bale to just buy a kodibox and watch pirated shit with ease.

>everyone needs to identify with different corporations like they're sports teams
wtf is wrong with people like you

deny it. i want you to type it out and sit here and deny to yourself, to me, that you're not a capeshit enthusiasts who is mad that they are exploiting retards like you. deny it. you. redditor. fuck

>Humans are too stupid for that
Show me your shining example of socialist paradise.

I have a bunch of hard drives full of torrented movies books and old games, and my library is growing every day. I'm set for life. Once the government pulls a funny one and shuts down everything I'll laugh at all the retards who didn't download as much as they could

America will be left to its capitalist wasteland. I'm hoping for the star trek kind of future. It's gonna be good, Its funny how much it triggers so many American's.

Plus those of us who don't use torrents for our booty are playing Operation: Get Behind the Darkies with the torrenters so when they're the first to fall, we know to be vigilant.

Come on user. Netflix is annoying and makes a lot of shitpost-tier content because they just greenlight everything without quality control; but Disney is a monolithic monopolistic entertainment empire that actively TRIES to kill any kind of artistic spark on the ritualistic altar of shekels. Look at what they've done recently - Netflix can't even compete.

I don't buy Netflix making no money for a second. What 200-400 million and counting subscribers + their own licence deals. Hollywood accounting through and through.

They would own 60% of Hulu if they buy Fox's stake. Why would they start rival streaming service? I don't understand it.

We Snow Crash now.

My ISP has zero competition but started giving me unlimited data this year, they pretty much moved all the plans up one for free.

I'm not saying I agree with the corporate system, but we never had net neutrality. Only for a few years did we ever have it.

Its why I have collected blurays for years now. This whole disney/digital shit is going to kill movies. When people are crying that they can't watch a certain movie, i'll have my physical version.

I don't identify with Netflix you dipshit, nor do I care that much about their original series.

But Disney is a cancer that's spreading and wants to take over everything. A monopoly is never good.

>He types from a slum in Ghana.

If I actually lived in a slum in Ghana, I wouldn't bother posting here. I'm in a top 10 country bruh and i'm not brown.

Dont blurays stop working after a while?

you don't have a future, friend

Netflix destroys media by creating shallow garbage that's shaped by internal metrics they gleamed from users viewing patterns, aimed to be easily binged. By creating an industry that sucks away viewers from channels that create legitimate art, they are contributing to the death of televisual art.

If you have a bluray player that can be used offline (I use my xbone or ps3) then you're golden. Gonna grab a cheap Xbone S for xmas and use that for 4k blurays.

Snow Crash would have white only districts and mob controlled pizza. Sounds good to me.

Snowcrash is basically Hoppe.

“Disney” has a lot more name draw than “Hulu”.

you don't say what country you're from because even on an anonymous image board you're a coward. ultimately socialism will never work because it's an ideology for cowards who don't have the balls to take what they want from life and instead cry to the government to steal from people for them. you're a coward and i can almost guarantee you that you reap the benefits of the world the usa help create

give me a break

We currently and have always had net neutrality (until the end of this month, apparently). All that means is the federal govt can mandate that ISPs treat all packets of data equally. When that's not longer enforced, they can start to group websites or services in arbitrary groups and charge customers additional fees for access to them. This is done in other countries and there is absolutely nothing that should make anyone think our ISPs won't do it to us. Nothing about losing net neutrality means suddenly there will be more competition.

Every parent on Earth that wants their kids to zone out on the TV for hours will subscribe to a Disney streaming service. There's a built-in demographic already.

It creates that in a small environment. Its show still have episode cliffhangers, places to stop. Just because people can't stop watching, doesn't mean it's netflix's fault.

On the otherside is disney, who is literally destroying the whole industry at a level never seen before with souless, awful media.

Disney operates on a level way higher than netflix on terms of destroying media.

>People pay attention to countries that arent America.
Nice. Glad I could brighten your day with this interaction. Enjoy your frozen shit hole and you muslims.

or you know, just pirate them in high quality like we used to or just stream them on the thousands of websites that exist.

I use netflix and amazon prime video (came with amazon student), im not paying for half a dozen subscription services, i'll just stream whatever i want to watch anyways.

So I take it american antitrust laws are pretty much null and void at this point? Whatever happened to competition being the cornerstone of capitalism?

I meant the blurays disks

>Netflix destroys media by creating shallow garbage that's shaped by internal metrics they gleamed from users viewing patterns, aimed to be easily binged.

No that's Disney. For all the garbage Netflix throws out they gave Scorcese, Fincher,Joon-ho Bong to do shit they want to do. So it's not complete cancer like Disney and it's not trying to take over and spread into everything like Disney

You’re insane. By internal metrics you mean they are able to know what people actually watch and make more of that and cancel shit that people aren’t watching? Netflix is trash, sure, but cable is far worse.

>Youtube doesnt exist
Sure they will.

Can we get a confirmation if the Lizzie McGuire movie and Brink will be on their service? This is make or break for me.
