Finish watching a movie

>finish watching a movie
>read its plot synopsis to make sure I didn't miss anything

>watch movie
>almost instantly forget it
>Never remember the characters names

that's why I started taking notes after watching films.
>Never remember the characters names
chink films are the worst lmao

>Watching movie in cinema
>Credits roll and lights come on
>Have to check on my phone to see if there'll be a credit scene
Fuck, I hate Marvel

America should've seized the opportunity to force Koreans to adopt human naming conventions instead of phonetic serial codes.

>finish watching flick
>realize it's kino
>write PhD-level 25-page treatise on its cultural import, thematic and character development, and meaning in the context of cinematic history
>then close document, without saving
heh

>finish watching a good movie
>listen to catchy score / soundtrack on YouTube
>70% of comments refer to the movie
>rewatch favourite scenes
>memorable quotes and plot discussion in the comments

>Finish watching movie
>Like it
>Ask Sup Forums what they think of it
>They hate it
>Now I hate it

>finish watching a movie
>search for official discussion on reddit

that's pretty gay

I actually do this.

>finish watching a movie
>wonder why Sup Forums hated it so much

>implying everyone here doesnt
>implying we dont come here to shit post
i literally have r/movies opened in another tab reading about viggo going fishing during LOTR shootings

>make plans to watch a movie with people
>secretly watch it before by myself so I can plan my comments in advance

>read plot synopsis
>dont even bother to watch movie

>literally autism
how to overcome this

>someone recommends me a movie
>read the synopsis on IMDB
>tell them i watched it and it was good

>PHD level
>25 pages

i know that 25 pages sounds like a lot when you're in high school, but it really isn't.

>finish watching flick
>immediately watch the CinemaSins episode

Me after watching godfather
In my defense, that movie had a lotta characters

>watching a movie

Other than the Godfather himself and Al Pacino i refered to every other character as 'that zip Furio' and added a numberical value

I'm convinced taking notes will help your memory. I was at the point where my memory was so bad I had trouble following Lock stock and two smoking barrels. I began taking notes while playing games for things like raid bosses or other shit. Now it's hard to imagine ever being such a brainlet. Maybe it's just a coincidence I don't know.

And they all wore suits and were kinda similar looking, so I couldn't keep track of them. For example, when Sonny was killed I didn't know who the fuck got killed until they said it later.

I know someone who did this

>watch CinemaSins before watching the movie
>quote Jeremy if its a good movie or not
>bring up stuff he says as interesting bits about the movie
>never actually watch said film because its now ruined

>watch film
>skim over synopys + wikia pages of the movie
>understand film
>watch it the second time

>chink film
>can't tell the characters apart

Not exactly the same thing, I didn't take notes most of the time, but I feel like RPGs with shitty map systems helped my sense of direction/location a lot

>Start watching a movie
>Go read plot synopsis 10min in
>Never finish the movie

I hate you

>Watching the Sopranos
>Forget about last episode I watched as soon as next one starts

I didn't ask to be retarded

>watch semi-obscure film with an interesting plot and characters
>go to imdb to see what people are saying about it
>scroll down to where the boards used to be
>...

Alright now thats next level retardation

>watch Sopranos
>stuff my fave with sopprosetta and mortadell

>tfw only knew characters names after the 4th season

Leave, faggots.

>finished watching a movie
>googles "[movie] ending explained"

I do this with movies I don't really want to watch. Also works with sports.

90% of the time it's because of feminism and diversity crap.

>watch Band of Brothers for the 5th time
>everyone is a white male wearing similar uniforms
>still can't connect all the names to the faces

>fall asleep halfway through a movie
>loud end credits music wakes me up
>fuck now i have to try watching it again tomorrow
>fall asleep again

The first film is pretty retard-friendly, but I couldn't follow what was going on in the sequel.

Everyone in this thread should leave this site immediatly.

>some of you are alright, dont visit Sup Forums tomorrow

>a movie is released
>open the discussion thread of it on r/movies and Sup Forums
>copypaste a smart sounding post from one to the other and vice versa
>enjoy the upvotes and the (you)s

This but I also on the first viewing I turn on the subtitles just in case I mishear something.
Moviechat has it all archived.

>>finish watching flick
>>realize it's kino
>>write PhD-level 25-page treatise on its cultural import, thematic and character development, and meaning in the context of cinematic history
>>then close document, without saving
>heh
25 pages. PhD.
What the fuck. Why?

It's a treatise

They do I'm pretty sure. Especially on paper, it's why students are encouraged to take physical notes instead of digital. Writing stuff helps solidify it in your memory. It's also why people who want to learn to lucid dream keep dream journals, to improve their recall ability.

I do this too it's pretty annoying. I'm constantly tired so being sedentary long enough to watch a movie is sure to put me to sleep.

but I got my gold account and login credentials just yesterday! think I'll soak in a bit more of the Sup Forums culture before deciding where to discuss kinos.

It's to demonstrate the fleeting nature of existence, pleb. Do incredible work, then just destroy it. Fucking pleb shits.

>see film being shown on television
>look up the plot synopsis on my phone
>don't bother watching the movie and change the channel
Watching movies is a waste of time, you can read what happens in a fraction of the time.

>want to watch godfather in the background
>they start speaking italian
god damnit

Killourself

>read the synopsis on IMDB
>tell them i watched it and it was good
You mean on wikipedia? IMDB just tells you the premise, not the ending.

IMDB has a full synopsis available for some movies.

You watch too much television, I can tell. Passive viewing is a cancer that "prestige tv" has hoisted upon all of us.

1000x this.
I haven't gone to imdb in a long time, fuck them.

>one chink character
>name burned into memory forever
>more than one chink character
>names will never be retained

This is how I felt about Rogue One.

I had to do that for 2001. I still barely get it.

>Read synopsis
>It's a major spoiler to the plot in the movie.
They just put too much information in it sometimes.
I remember there being a movie that it was a detective trying to find some murderer and in the middle of the trailer it revealed that he was the killer.
Still watched it thinking there was more to it. There wasn't.

>popcorn out
>movie starts

Literally me. What is wrong with us, bro?

>watch non current movie
>its great
>create a thread about that movie on Sup Forums
>it goes 404 with 0 posts
every fucking time

Boring characters, JJ Abrams, and capeshit.

Easy fix, stop watching capeshit.

this is me but also on anime and vidya
its depressing to think about it but the human memory is just flawed I guess
the worst part is we will never have the time to watch all the kino movies, shows, anime and games because there are so many and so mant being released that u will just die before u do
choosing is so hard for me

I'll you you cuz i know that feel senpai
