>I know I tried to undermine you at every step and almost jeopardized everything but now that I am dying I swear I would have followed you

...

He did what he had to do for the benefit of his people.

You're an idiot unless this is bait in which case well done.
He was corrupted by the ring and only realised after attempting to take it from Frodo. Afterwards he understood the error he made and attempted to save Merry and Pippin and died honourably regaining and keeping his honour.

If a sperg like you went near the ring you'd probably be way more easily corrupted.

They will, once they recast the role for the series

...

Unironically this. Despite finding out he's not the chosen one/ Messiah figure, he still does the right thing in the end, even though he stands to gain nothing from it, because it's the right thing to do. Women won't get this. Most modern males don't even understand this concept.

This scene and this very shot in particular

t. women

meant to post youtube.com/watch?v=ffeOvwBYkf4

>"You know Aragorn, with great power comes great responsibility. Gandalf called it "Men's Burden." Myself, I just call it as I see it: the reaponsibility of the master to discipline the servant."
>Boromir looks directly at the camera.
>"The goblins, the orcs, the spiders...It's our responsibility to civilize them. And if we can't? Then they shall dangle from the White Tree. The Day of the Rope is near, Aragorn. We'll have every easterling in this land dead or in chains in 10 years, and may an orc have me shot this very day if I'm wrong. God bless the Fellowship of the Willing."

You know, to this day I don't get the message of this scene

youtube.com/watch?v=d0Mtlklmna0

I unironically want my life to end like K's. Think you're special, find out you're not special, do something good for people who are special then die peacefully.

Also ideas woemen ill never understand

>no father should have to bury their sons
>tfw took my friend's dad to his son's dead body in a creek 3 weeks ago

It still hurts.

This

FUCK

Well they're gay for each other and Sean Bean is confessing to him now that he's about to die.
You boys and your homo love stories are so cute. :3

youtube.com/watch?v=ZnmW7wEkkDw

Long story that I'm not going to get into, but it was in the middle of nowhere with no phone reception and happened upon his car to start looking. I ran into his dad who was also looking about 2 minutes after finding the body.

>this fucking meme wont die

>REAL HUMAN BEAN
AND A REAL HERO

Was this from the book?

youtube.com/watch?v=Wc0-wSQd-LQ

>this fucking roastie wont toast

They left out a few lines and reworded others, but it essentialy carries the same meaning, yes.

youtu.be/1giVzxyoclE

youtu.be/IJMDdT24_98

did he died tho

Damn, I really do have to get around to reading those. Who knows how many redpills Tolkien put in that I've missed over the years.

...

...

...

...

He did what he did for his people, for people like him. Not because they were special.

This scene was written by a woman

she may have written it but she didn't understand it

didn't know jrr tolkien was a female

Whether he did or didn't doesn't matter. He finally found a place to rest after all he went through.

now i feel sad

One of my all time favorite memes, adapted for a new use.

What if they make both characters black strong women on the Amazon show? could they understand it then?

They would only see two strong woman, doing strong woman stuff then.

Ok, now the real question. Would the line remain the same? Would BormirA call AragonA "my brother"? or would she call her "my sister?" would she dare asume her gender?!

Cast Viggo, in Game of Thrones.

...

He wasn't corrupted by the ring. In the TT exten you see that he does it because his father convinced him that the ring was key to winning the war. He realizes that his father was wrong and attempts to make things right with his dying breath.

u wot m8
just a little friendly male jealousy and some ring-craziness

Mance

...

Roasties out

My brother, my captain, my king isn't in the book

Book
>Aragorn knelt beside him. Boromir opened his eyes and strove to speak. At last slow words came. "I tried to take the Ring from Frodo " he said. "I am sorry. I have paid." His glance strayed to his fallen enemies; twenty at least lay there. "They have gone: the Halflings: the Orcs have taken them. I think they are not dead. Orcs bound them." He paused and his eyes closed wearily. After a moment he spoke again.
>"Farewell, Aragorn! Go to Minas Tirith and save my people! I have failed."
>"No!" said Aragorn, taking his hand and kissing his brow. "You have conquered. Few have gained such a victory. Be at peace! Minas Tirith shall not fall!"
>Boromir smiled.
>"Which way did they go? Was Frodo there?" said Aragorn. But Boromir did not speak again.

Movie
>Boromir: They took the little ones.
>Aragorn: Hold still.
>Boromir: Frodo. Where is Frodo?
>Aragorn: I let Frodo go.
>Boromir: Then you did what I could not. I tried to take the Ring from him.
>Aragorn: The Ring is beyond our reach now.
>Boromir: Forgive me. I did not see it. I have failed you all.
>Aragorn: No, Boromir. You fought bravely. You have kept your honor.
>(he reaches out to pull the arrows from Boromir, but Boromir grabs his arm to stop him)
>Boromir: Leave it! It is over. The world of Men will fall. And all will come to darkness, and my city to ruin.
>Aragorn: I do not know what strength is in my blood, but I swear to you I will not let the White City fall, nor our people fail.
>Boromir: Our people? Our people!
>(He reaches for his sword, but can’t get it. Aragorn places the hilt in his hand, and Boromir clasps it to his chest. Legolas finally comes running up, but stops and watches sadly from a distance.)
>Boromir: I would have followed you, my brother. My captain. My king.
>(Boromir passes away. Aragorn touches his hand to his forehead, then to his lips in respect)
>Aragorn: Be at peace, son of Gondor.

>women will never understand what its like to be in a war
>I do however from playing pubg in my mums spare bedroom

...

>all the butt blasted roasties itt

everything about this scene is so try-hard and fedora. shit.

>2 out of the 3 writers for the LOTR film adaptation are women
>"Women will never understand it"

What did Sup Forums mean by this?

Obviously their husbands did it out of a desire to see their wives succeed in the chosen career and these roasties were only too happy to keep quiet and reap the rewards.

just because they wrote it doesn't mean they understood it

Key word - ADAPTED
They didn't pull the story out of their ass, faggot

let's play spot the try hard contrarian

Hurr durrrr

Holy shit, Im a woman and I get all these scenes. Why the fuck would a woman not get them? This website is fucking terrible, you should all be ashamed.

this particular scene the dialogue is almost completely different from the film though

9/10

Prove it

my number is 914- 958- 9526, you wanna meet up sometime?

>Boromir had the ring
>held it right in his hands, something even Gandalf refused to do
>Aragorn tells him to give it to Frodo
>"As you wish"
>gives it back to Frodo immediately, just like that

I was there the day the strength of men triumphed.
Not even fucking Isildur was able to resist the ring like Boromir did.

I hated him since he dropped anduril and let it there storming out because he understood who Aragorn was

...

You exceeded 140 characters

Any scene about honour or selflessly loving someone that isn't your child or true friendship.
Women just do not understand these concepts

youtube.com/watch?v=ThBOw3ja6hU

how can you even prove you understood the scene

is this brokeback hobbit?

youtube.com/watch?v=h5bW-YXZvOU
I wish the eternal Anglo didn't get so ass blasted when he retook his crown.

Look into my eyes. Look me in the eyes. What do you see? Do you see anything? Nothing. There's nothing.
