I drugged a woman's drink, took her to my room and raped her.

Someday cartoons will be good again and not consist of the Smurfs and He-Man.

Anyone know when issue 7 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes out?

I just went out and bought a Mac Plus. Knew it was a good idea to wait until they finally had a damn hard disk on these things.

I give DC six more months before they bring back the multiverse.

Maximum Overdrive was the worst fucking movie ever. I want my three bucks back.

Stick to writing books, Steve King.

I hope that cartoon about the yellow people coming out soon lasts as long as possible.

...

I'm gonna go take my daughter Ashleigh to see this. It's the least-life-scarring thing possible, am I right?

Wtf is this bullshit.

Will Walt Disney animation ever recover after the debacle that was The Black Cauldron?

I sure am excited for that TMNT cartoon!

I know some people said it's gonna be shit and juvenile but I'm sure it wont be!

I'm sorry but Batman as some cranky old dude is such a dumb idea. If we ever get a Batman movie, I hope they never adapt this garbage.

Also, Mel Gibson for Batman

Pixar is really declining in qual--oops, wrong generation.

No, now it will be Don Bluth for ever!
I mean, have you seen who they picked for The Great Mouse Detective? Some nobodies who never did anything before and whose career will stop right after that.

When are we going to have a cartoon about the brave freedom fighters of Afghanistan?

Yeh it was shit, but that loudmouth girl was kind of cute. She has a very unique voice--should be a cartoon voice actor or something.

The computer game Sierra put out is pretty good. I'm going to get back to working on my save...OH NO, I SET MY SAVE FLOPPY ON THE STEREO SPEAKER. NOT AGAIN!!!

IMPEACH RONNIE RAYGOON THE IMPERIALIST WAR CRIMINAL

I can just imagine some neckbeard typing that on his Apple II with a green screen monitor and he has a Holy Diver poster on the wall or something.

This comic strip is really starting to click with me

Fuck, we got to put up with another four years of Reagan and his anti-drug PSAs. It makes me want to smoke a bowl, listen to Master of Puppets, and veg out to David the Gnome.

I really hope this slime fad doesn't take off.

What? Oh you're talking about the guys who worked on Star Wars and spun off to their own brand. Star Wars worked because it was all physical effects. I just can't imagine a future where I watch 90 minutes of the Money for Nothing video. I'll give them a year, tops.

SMASHING THROUGH THE BOUNDARIES
LUNACY HAS FOUND ME

If you go do Marine Biology classes where I live, you're handed out little comics with wierd but funny cartoons about aquatic life. A particular sea sponge character is really starting to take off with me and my classmates.

Why is gibbons wasting his art on this British hack, can't wait for the delays to end and this edgy garbage to go away and be forgotton

Morrison pls get offline

Cheap gimmick, can't wait for the reboot to fail an Jay to take the book back

I just don't see the appeal.

Disney is dead.

>here, here
>1984
People have been making that mistake online since before I was born.

I need to invent a time machine.

Voltron is great. I can't wait for season 2!

Why was Transformers: The Movie so violent? Why does every movie these days have to appeal to edgy faggots?

There is going to be SO MUCH porn of this!

Speaking of Morrison.

>Morrison says that Crisis will be undone (yay!)! He is reportedly getting hell from the powers that be in DC, but he says that all is said and done.

>The year is 1990.

Top Kek.

REEEEEEEEEEE

>What really bothers me about Marvel is the continual "cross-overmania".

>What bothers me the most about this (I DO buy most of the titles involved) is that they can't get the damn thing synchronized!

>I know there are all sorts of problems involved with scheduling and publishing comics, but the people at Marvel certainly know this--why do they continue? Yeah, yeah, I know it's for PROFITS PROFITS PROFITS.

>But no, I AM NOT GOING TO SUCCUMB TO MARVEL'S CHEAP MARKETING PLOYS! I HAVE ONLY ONE LIFE TO GIVE FOR MY COUNTRY, AND I'M NOT GOING TO SPEND IT READING SECRET BORES!!!!!

This certainly sounds familiar.

Remember how Christa McAuliffe used to be a science teacher? Now she's history. Ha ha ha ha ha.

Ah, but for the days when anime was all battling robots instead of kawaii loli pantsu locker room quest.

>ecchi didn't exist in the 80's

Nigga, what?

There were like, three ecchi animes or something back then and now 90% of the industry is that shit.

This is someone's son. Someone once held him in their arms and tucked him into bed at night while singing him lullabys.

You really should appreciate your mom more.

At least he's not making out with a p*ny while wearing a fake tail and p*ny ears.

Unga bunga B.C. > Marble

Hey OP what are those spots on your face? Maybe you should see a doctor about that

Yeah, you're confirmed for knowing nothing about anime. The 80s didn't consists of primarily mecha anime and ecchi was just as big then as it is now.

>Batman may not be a favorite or a big seller

Truly a different era. Hard to imagine a time where Batman wasn't the most popular DC character

>Even the nerdy shut in losers were patriotic during Cold War USA

Where did we go wrong?

Have no fear, they've got stories for years

because being proud of what you are apparently makes you a horrible fascist these days

More like those, please?

OOGA BOOGA ROCKSTOP

>being proud of what you are
A loser who posts in Sup Forums?

Only if you're American.

I like to call it Feminism.

"giving your life for your country" isn't patriotism, it's nationalism.

>fighting for your country against the evil Russians for daring to literally hack the elections and literally have Hillary lose
>nationalism and not patriotism
YOU SPEW BLASPHEMY YOU TOXIC SHITLORD

What's wrong with nationalism?

>Does anyone have any info on the content of the new universe?
Is it going to include, for example, THE NAM, which I recall
to be a rather lengthy, but limited, series based on historical
(?) evidence?
>Or is it going to be another vaguely-futuristic sf universe like
the current one?
>I'm vaguely curious. At the moment, though, except for DD, NM,
X-Men and X-Factor, my money goes to DC. I don't think this
new universe stuff is going to change things any.

Lets not travel down this road user because nothing good will come out of it.

Everything good will come out of it actually.
A world where borders exist and where you can cross a border and enjoy a completely different culture and environment compared to the one before it;
is a vastly less boring and monotonous world than one where everything is mixed into a pot of distasteful shit like Globalism does by boiling a pot of vegetables, fruits, eggs, milk, meat, chocolate, until you have a puke inducing mixture.

Nationalism ironically makes the "multi" part in "multiculturalism" exist. Without it there is no "multi", there is no variety, there is only one brush of gray paint that's nausea inducing.

it's putting the cart before the horse.

I don't understand. I'm genuinely asking the question - what's wrong with nationalism?

I think of nationalism as an intermediary step to a truly united human population on Earth. We're never going to get there until we all figure out what works best for each little problem we're faced with. I think nationalism is a great idea because it's every country, every group of human beings trying to solve those problems differently. We get hundreds, maybe thousands of different possible solutions to problems such as poverty, prison, homelessness, healthcare, individual liberties, human rights, food, etc. Inevitably, someone is going to come up with the best idea. Then we see how that works in other nations, with other groups of humans. Eventually, we'll all come to a consensus about what works.

We're not there yet. But how we can possibly learn unless we're all competing with our ideas? To me, nationalism isn't about "my country is fucking perfect in every way, fuck you." Nationalism is more a sports team thing. "This is our idea about [x]. Let's go fucking all out on it and see how it works and compare it to everyone else. Are we winning? Fuck yes! Are we losing? Shit, we need to tweak our strategy."

>Sup Forums invades another Sup Forums thread

>Sup Forums
You didn't even read what I wrote.

I was just at this Slayer gig the other night and some retard was wearing a Ratt T-shirt. We kicked his ass good.

Yes, because only people on Sup Forums have political opinions, and therefore anything remotely political on another thread must be a Sup Forums invasion, right?

If wanting to travel to China to experience Chinese culture and architecture and food,
and then crossing to India to experience Indian culture and architecture and food, and then traveling to Brazil and experiencing their own unique, and then France, Iran, Turkey, etc. etc. and enjoying untarnished and persevering diversity without having it all destroyed by some Globalist idiocy;
makes me Sup Forums, then i'll take your idiocy as a compliment.
This world is richer due to segregation.

What you are suggesting is the same as suggesting that a person who doesn't want all comics in existence done by one single artist should go back to Sup Forums.

In that case Sup Forums by your logic is the ally of diversity.

>Sup Forums gets triggered because no one is interested in copypastas

So you have no counter-argument?

I mean the discussion bro, not that there's anything wrong with Nationalism because I agree with you that it's good but it's a discussion we should save for Sup Forums

Very nice dream of nationalism you have there. Shame in practicality a nationalist population leads to violence, war and division.

Nationalism is a tool of the state meant to collectivize and manipulate individuals. It's window dressing for service to the government.

As opposed to globalism?

Are you really that fucking naive? Same fucking shit, different words.

"A Rose by any other name..." and all that shit.

You didn't put forth an argument, you simply explained your twisted, juvenile view of nationalism. I can't counter an idea in your head. I'm not going to change your mind that nationalism isn't everyone singing kumbaya and staying in their little boxes being perfectly happy.

It's like if a communist came into the thread and happily explained a dream marxist society. It's pointless.

>and all that shit
White trash spotted.

Why is anyone posting? Sup Forums didn't exist in 1986

>As opposed to globalism?

No, Sup Forums, I'm not part of the "enemy".

I mean as opposed to individualism, and liberty. Collectivism is a cancer. Nationalism exists only for the government to enlist the service of it's people. That's all it has ever been used for, and it's all it ever will be used for. Sure, you can play with the dreamy little idea in your head, but in practicality it just won't work.

So then simply tell me why it's a bad idea. Disregard everything I said, just like you did. What's the preferred alternative?

Neither did most of the people here, but that's not stopping them.

>Collectivism is a cancer
That's why you don't pay taxes?

>Very nice dream of nationalism you have there. Shame in practicality a nationalist population leads to violence, war and division.

Violence, war, and division are an inherent Human condition in a world of limited resources, which will be present in any system in this world.

I have no blindness to the negative side-effects of nationalism, but i do affirm the positives,
and the positives are that i have a diverse world full of choice where diversity perseveres through traditionalism, rather than perishing by mixing.

Even in the "land of the free" like America, if blacks were truly every assimilated into white culture then such shit like jazz, rock, blues, hip-hop, would never have developed.
They are a produce of a segregated culture thinking on its own and creating on its own, separate from the influences of another.

I could remind you that the most democratic countries in this world happen to be monarchies, which only further showcases that your idiotic shuffling of which systems works and which doesn't is stupid, because all of them don't work, and all of them require specific maintenance to make the positives work while the negatives get suppressed.

>things I learned by reading Breitbart from some shithole in Iowa

hurr it must be one extreme or another, right? If I think strong collectivism, especially when applied to a tool like nationalism, is something that is dangerous and very open to abuse, I must be a stateless ancap who doesn't believe in collectivism at all.

Get fucking real.

So basically you're afraid to argue the point? That's all I'm taking away from this. No wonder that fuckstain Trump won.

Really raking in those Kremlin bucks, huh?

>alt-righter pretending not to be a Drumpf supporter
Lol.

Nationalism is a bad idea because it's almost always been used as a weapon of manipulation. It's used to get people to serve the state. Whether it's the deliberate encouragement of jingoism in the British Empire in the 20s and 30s so they could cling onto territory, the fight against the USSR during the Cold War, or the rhetoric of the Nazi regime.

I'm neither American, nor do i read news sites.
If you believe you can put a label on someone who treats political systems as tools, and views tools as inherently neutral devices that have their strong points as well as shortcomings,
then you'll disappoint yourself.
Label wars are for people who can't think for themselves.

Whether Russia or USA, both are the same to me.
Two forces with their own interests who will do crazy and dirty shit to achieve them.
Justifications are irrelevant, political messages are irrelevant, a tyranny of one is as bad as a tyranny of another.
I'd prefer both of them to never cease, because both of them have things that i like, and i can enjoy those things as an individual and exploit them.

Again, keep your stupid at a lower level.
I am not here to change the world like some infantile teenager who thinks he's a superhero all of a sudden. I'm here to enjoy the world and don't like seeing it become culturally poorer because some Globalist fucktard wants to mix everything up.

Thank you. That's a fair argument. I don't have anything to really contradict those points.

There's no point to argue you thickskulled retard. What you're describing makes no real sense. You're confusing nationalism, multi-culturalism, globalism and monolithic culture to try and make this dreamy point that is seemingly inarguable.

Not having a monolithic culture is a good idea? Whoa fucking calm down Einstein, you should go explain that to the ten remaining stalinists in the world and perhaps some remains of the Roman fucking empire. Who would have thought?

Anybody heard of the new Mighty Mouse? They better not ruin a classic. Ralph Bakshi is working on it so it will rape my childhood.

See the thing is that whilst I understand from a pure ideological perspective where you're coming from, in practicality history has proven it not to work out.

I literally have no idea what you're talking about. You seem to be presenting both Stalinists and the Roman Empire as bad things. There's a fucking lot we can all learn from both, good and bad.

>like some infantile teenager

Could have fooled me. Now stop typing up paragraphs to explain why you're a selfish fuck and get lost.

>There's a fucking lot we can all learn from both, good and bad.

Such as?
