Steven finally manage to capture Jasper. Though really, Jasper mostly fucked herself by trying to fuse with a corrupted Gem and getting an std out of it, finishing corrupted herself. Steven tried to help her before she went full corrupt, but Jasper rejected him, because she refuse the help of Rose, as, chocking reveal Jasper tell him that Rose actually shattered Pink Diamond as a way to save earth (it happened after she had bubbled Bismuth). Also, Steven And Amethyst managed to beat Jasper by fusing together and becoming an abomination known as Smokey Quartz, whose weapon is a deadly yoyo.
After this point the Five rubies are back and still trying to look for Jasper, This time, to fool them, Amethyst shapeshift as Jasper and through some convoluted means end up on the moon where they fail to communicate with the diamond authority (the communicator had blew up after Peridot had used it, remember?), but they almost manage to fool the rubies and departing away without the disguised Amethyst, up until she can't maintain her shapeshift anymore and blew her cover. The Rubies and Steven get jettisoned into space and Steven end up having a talk with the eyeball ruby in a bubble, where he learn more about her mother and how homeworld gem see her as a war criminal. After Eyeball try to kill him, he eject her from the bubble and the gem finally manage to retrieve him (they now have the ruby Spaceship). End of season 3.
in season 4, there is an episode where Steven face his inner struggle about his mother and an other where Greg get captured by Blue Diamond and the the CG go to visit an human Zoo, in space, using, the ruby ship.
