19 minutes in
>why the hell would I trust you
>because I believe in you
Don't waste your time, the movie is a bore and Michael Keaton
can't save it.
>Not commenting on the hilarious shooting range scene
An anti imperial movie that puts the blame for attacks on the US on the shoulder of its own actions.
It's hot garbage right from the get go. It makes you wonder who the fuck okayed this script.
i liked it.
good movie if you dont have anything else to watch
It's like a film of the frogposting trope threads we get.
>ie. a shitter Bourne Identity
It's bloody and violent though. But it's written terribly and stupidly and the acting is pretty atrocious
>His test scores were off the charts!
>We've seen "off the charts before", remember?
>Don't waste your time, the movie is a bore and Michael Keaton
>can't save it.
The movie was entertaining and unintentionally hilarious, my only gripe with it is that they pussied out and made and American spy/the CIA the bad guy instead of having Rapp off busloads of jihadis with childlike glee.
>An anti imperial movie that puts the blame for attacks on the US on the shoulder of its own actions.
MFW actions now have shoulders.
Putting the blame on the deep state WAS the bold move you mongrel.
jesus christ it's so memey
>So you're the new me huh?
>I'm nothing like you!
>Putting the blame on the deep state WAS the bold move you mongrel.
Nothing bold about "muh evil three letter agencies lmao" which is a very common hollywood trope.
When it comes to shilling for jihadis, especially the brown ones, unlocked went a lot further: the terror imam is actually a really good guy stopping attacks from within the islamist movement and the jihadist human trigger (of pakistani decent) chickens out of detonating the bomb because "infidel children never had the chance to choose allah", so the whitest actor ever (cia agent, non-believer) takes over and proceeds instead. Ofcourse the evil plot was actually masterminded by a big bad (atheist?) CIA whitey played by Michael Douglas.
Without exaggerating the only real jihadist character in this movie is an ethnically british public schoolboy convert.
Luckily American Assassin didn't take it to these lengths.
reminds of London has fallen where many of the terrorists were laughably white with light coloured eyes, some of them even with light hair. It was just so unbelievably pussified it really spoiled most of that movie for me.
In that movie they also copped out and made one of the key hidden organisers a white guy who hated immigrants. No seriously. The end bad guy of the movie about terrorists fucking up london - is a white racist guy. Utter nonsense from every angle honestly
It opened really well. Set up his motivations, made me believe he could pull shit off, and created a tense relationship between him and his employers.
All went to shit after Keaton came in, sadly.
Eh, it's alright.
