So I have been looking at various youtube and forums and zack snyders JL actually did have the evil/ dark superman as a few people who worked on the film suppoedly supported this.
Now again this is rumour but given all the deleted scenes and extensive reshoots and the muddled tone of the now released movie I am inclined to believe it. Question is would this film had interested you Sup Forums? I like the idea of a dark superman because i think the whole JL uniting to take him down makes more sense.

Given that this version of Superman had a fucked up upbringing, has had to put up with Earth's crap even though he does the right thing, and in the Knightmare he is shown to be an enforcer for Darkseid corrupted by the Anti-Life equation, it makes narrative sense for him to be "evil" in JL. It would have made for an interesting story.
