Yes. It was effective and succeeded at the fundamentals of suspense. It wasn't phenomenal. It wasn't groundbreaking. But it was good. Anyone who thinks it sucks "because duh black man shoved down muh throat" is just a fucking typical retard.

It was a very good movie (maybe 8/10) that uses some racial issues/stuff as plot points.
