>Georgie's death scene looks like garbage
>Mike and Stan don't do anything
>Ben acts like Mike for some reason (???)
>Changes the time period (we want the Stranger Things audience)
>Obnoxious jumpscare cues ruining any potentially scary scenes
>DUDE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK LMAO
>Scenes are shot with a formula of something scary happens, normal stuff with the kids, something scary happens again, rinse repeat
>Mostly doesn't do any scares from the book, makes bullshit up
>Leper looks terrible
>"What's the plan?" "I guess we'll beat him to death with pipes and stuff!"
Why the fuck would they even bother adapting this material? The original book is some off the wall shit that has high highs and low lows but is a much more entertaining experience than this. This movie sucked clown dick.
It...was shit
They set it in 1989 because they wanted it to be about 30 years before the sequel, so it can play out in real time
Agree. This movies shit. It's funny that Stephen King movies end up REALLY bad, no matter what. Yet other shit based on Stephen king ends up way better.
>>Georgie's death scene looks like garbage
Stopped reading right there.
I thought it was good.
the shit about hollywood execs being depraved pedophiles feels alot more relevant now
why the fuck are they sexualizing this little girl actress
Especially the music they played during this scene too and all the boys ogling her. What did they mean by this?
it was to make up for the sewer scene kino we missed out on
Still better than the Tim Curry adaptation.
It's just an innocent scene in a coming of age movie.
Well what did you expect?
>1 sec in
We've got bush!
Man, I had the exact body of the fat kid up to 14 - inverted nipples and all.
EXCUSE ME SIR
hollywood should be purged
>that slow down
They know exactly what they're doing.
Bluray comes out on January. Can't wait.
Nah, it was pretty good.
can't wait for these shots in glorious 4k
...
reminder that the key is a phallic symbol
y'all need jesus
Reading the book now, and it just makes me realize how much I want like a legit adaptation of this story.
The new one was fine, solid 7/10, but it felt kind of by-the-numbers and aimed towards jumpscare brainlets.
I want clownkino. I want someone to do to It what Kubrick did the The Shining.
Fukunaga got fired for trying to do that.
You need more Sophia in your life.
Oh God, I know and it hurts.
I think this is my last lewd Sophia.
Fucking lame. His script was a lot more in line with the tone of the book. They didn't care about making art and filtering plebs, only $$$
go back to vine funnyman
there are so many movies in the 80's already. keeping it in the 50's would have been better and more interesting.
The movie can't even stay consistent with the 80's shit, it feels like it takes place in the 50's with the way the town is but they keep playing 80's music and showing New Kids on the Block to try and make you forget that. It's weird and dumb. Don't know why Pennywise would even say "beep beep Richie" when that lingo would be outdated by the 80's.
is this a sophia thread?
It can be whatever you want it to be homeboy.
KYS FGT
read book for first time in 5 days after seeing film. book is better. not like shining where movie was better.
Is the Jew shit in the original or is that just the price of making movies today?
Stan's a Jew in the original but he's a much better character than he is in this
It was just a jumpscares galore
Me and my buddy watched some hdrip from goodgoymoviesNOW and started to crack up at the constant jumpscares
>something happens
>BLAAAAAARGH *pennywise twitches towards camera*
>EEEEEEEK *SCARY PAINTING LADY POPS UP*
>*GHLAAAAAHRRRGGG* pennywise attacks again!
>*EEEK EEEK EEEEK* he comes!
What did you think of Sophia though?
Is this what they call jumpscares today? Everything in this movie was telegraphed to hell and back. I can't think of one actual jumpscare in the movie.
Yeah, but Richie and Eddie are super cute.
i knew it was gonna be shit when stuttering bill's mom wasn't playing fur elise in the intro scene
Well I don't know what could you call them.. maybe action scenes because thats what they basically were. I don't think they even thought the pattern of scary scenes or anything like that, they just slapped spooky clown attacks all over the place, and thats what made it so funny because all the scares were so tryhard serious. Now that I think of it, I was only disturbed at the scene where clowns head opened into alien looking maw
It was a pretty nasty move by the filmmakers to make her so blatant sex symbol for the boys. They should've removed the swimming pit scenes to further damage Sup Forums users
>I will never play Cuphead with Sophia
This hurts more than anything
Why did they go the sexist route by turning Beverly into a damsel in distress? She was never like that in the book. Fuck, it would've made more sense for Eddie to be the one captured. And why did they give Mike's whole character and purpose to Ben?
based poster of cup videogame guy
No one made a Sophia thread and this was all I could find.
you can always make your own dude
it's right there in my pants
