Should I watch this series?
The Expanse

watch the first 6 eps then drop it.
Yes
If you are a Sup Forumstard though, get ready to get triggered
butt y
From what I remember of the threads when this was airing, they were always crying about the diversity of the cast
hehehe, I'm a liberal who hates drumpf but I also use triggered and snowflake... bet you never seen an intellectual like me! Triggered Sup Forumsyard? Mad that drumpfy wumpfy won't get his racist wall?
Ah, that. It's pretty chill. I'm cool with diverse casts if it's set in the future.
Are you having an aneurysm?
I liked it better when it was called battlestar galactica
I watched the first season and it was pretty solid but the lead being literal a black hole of screen presence and charisma means I stopped there.
Whoever thought this guy could carry a show needs to be fired.
Sup Forumstard gtfo
maybe he wasn't supposed to carry the show? maybe the show was supposed to carry him?
It’s ok I recommend watching it with a friend though
I like the show but I kind of agree, it doesn't help that the character's name is "James Holden" just a fucking generic and forgettable name as you can get.
I honestly have trouble remembering his name and I'm almost at the end of season 2.
It's cool. The Martian chick is gonna join the main crew, right?
No they went with race casting (to match the book) instead of quality, the only decent actors on the show are white.
the only time when following thesource material was bad??
I dont know about the only time, but it was pretty stupid trying to find nonexistent fantasy stronk maori women from the book. They ended up with an ugly fat cow with a bad case of fupa that can't act.
>the only decent actors on the show are white.
>Cas Anvar
>Shohreh Aghdashloo
>Chad Coleman
>Bad
There are at least 9 books written or planned. You think Syfy will allow a show to go on that long?
Don't even bother getting invested.
Even when it was SciFi, the longest shows ever ran for was 4 seasons.
Hope you faggots enjoy reading.
...
You seem triggered
This is supposed to be in the future so why do wh*tes still exist?
I watched the first 8 or 9 episodes but it really just didn't grab me.
It's well produced, but I just couldn't even begin to give half a shit about the conflict or any of the main characters so I dropped it
I liked the first season until I realized it wasn't going to have a proper conclusion for the season, it was good for the first 8 episodes.
It's worth watching for Thomas Jane, but the rest of the cast is kind of crap and the main character is pretty boring.
Also it becomes a lot less focused in Season 2 and some of the characters have a drastic personality change. I used to like it at the beginning because everyone had their own storylines but it ends up just following the 4 crew members for the most part.
Are the books much better than the show then?
To be fair he's doing a decent job of portraying the book character. It's just that that character is a bland as fuck moralfag who just happens to have constant crazy shit happen to him.
his blandness is alright but when they try to make him edgy in s2 with his pathetic IM ANGRY acting it's just terrible
While Tom Jane is in it, yes.
I know mang, it should be nothing but cockroaches.
someone post the webm of that chick from this show eating fast
i remember getting a throbber from it just by looking for a second but i never saved it or watched it fully
>baby needs something to be wrapped up before investing
learn to enjoy the ride
How is holden even remotely believable as a leader, though? He's a consistently indecisive, emotional retard isn't even remotely likeable personality-wise and exudes beta waves so powerfully that people who hang around him probably get leukemia.
Its so jarring seeing the other characters turning to him in a crisis as if he has some sort of discernible leadership qualities.
Yes.
He desperately needs about 250 cc of Nathan Fillion stat.
yea it's worth it, but you have to ignore some things to actually like it. the bad acting is the main thing that really fucks this show up, especially in s1. they fix it a bit in s2.
it's worth watching just to see the first 5 episodes of s2, those are honestly some of the best sci fi episodes i've watched ever
worth seeing for this guy alone. he's the kind of guy you sort of don't even notice you love before you acctually fall in love with him
Nno?? Wtf
...
He was well cast.
He warned you, and still.
It was the best series this summer.
i liked the books more, so yes. naomi and holden aren't as insufferable in the books, but they are still annoying. i liked miller more in the books too. what the protomolecule does to people in the books is way more disgusting than what it does on the show, they pretty much skipped over and cut out all the really nasty bits of what happened on eros.
This thread needs more Miller.

How could I forget Diogo? Definite great tier.
Warehouse 13. Eureka, and Stargate all went on for forever.
>Pure shit
>Chrisjen
You should reconsider your opinion there.
yes should be in a much lower tier
I liked the first season. It's a cool detective mystery space opera which looks and feels surprisingly cool.
I felt season 2 was much more boring and I dropped it before finishing. The Terminator-esque molecule monsters, the forced tragic scenes, the iraqi pilot guy trying to be the most cliched snappy one-liner cool guy, holden and negro having an utterly tiresome love story going on, and the politics are mostly uninteresting.
Basically the show went from fresh and intriguing to something that completely fell apart when it became familiar.
The actress does her best with what he's got, but she's hopelessly miscast, particularly in the second season where they try to make her give inspiring speeches and shouty threats that she has no chance of pulling off.
Seconded.
yes yes and yes
>best tier
clarissa
>Even when it was SciFi, the longest shows ever ran for was 4 seasons.
Stargate SG1 went for 10 seasons, Atlantis 5. Eureka went for 5, as did Warehouse 13.
And that's off the top of my head.
He's a viable leader because everyone else on the crew is a damaged retard with worse problems than him
