justice league was significantly better than most cape flicks

Except Marvel films have never tried to be 'le grimdark serious'. They've always been fun and they realise their source material is childish (which isn't bad) and thus, guess what, it translates to enjoyable film. But DC? DC tried to be different and then the suits came in and realised being 'different' is not making them Marvel money. Homecoming is literally a 3rd origin story with a 3rd Spiderman and it still managed to make $800m.

He's not wrong. It was enjoyable enough, though it was a far cry from what I think Zack was going to give us.

It's fun, it's got some genuine comedy gold in it, though the humor misses as often as it hits, and it's hero team-up that was entertaining, but otherwise pretty disposable.

In other words, it was a lot like Disney.

Even in all of the Nolan movies are like, at best mid-tier action movies with a handful of good scenes. For some reason people cream over them because batman is in them when they're barely 7/10 across the three.

I didn't enjoy MoS for BvS, but walked away from JL with a much more pleasant overall experience. It absolutely has it's flaws and probably would have benefited from a 6 month push back, but I would absolutely watch it again for a way to enjoy a couple of hours.
