It's over Anakin. I have the high ground

Why does that matter? I'll just use the Force to send this floating droid platform over to the other side of the lava river. From there, I'll get to the ship and take off, leaving you stranded on this planet.

Bye.

YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWER

Why didn't he just raise the platform to get the high ground?

>But Obi Wan, each of us has held more significant high ground advantages at various points during this fight, and those didn't affect our ability to fruitlessly swing our laser swords at each other at all

Dr. Skywalker, I'm Jedi.

That sure worked for Darth Maul isn't it?

have we started the fire?

THE FIRE RISES

he's always had the high ground

""YOUR NEW EMPIRE?"

why did obi wan just leave anakin to burn to death? Not very Jedi like

He was unarmed hyuk and Jedi don't kill defenseless people.

why didn't he jump to the side, there were no obstacles.

obi wan would have force speeded

I've recalibrated the reviews warning all remaining Star Wars fans to stay away

the end of phantom menace established he forgot he can do that.

Ryley it's over. I have a bigger dick and am not a beta no women can truly love.

his powers have doubled since then

>It would have been a mercy to kill him
>But Obi Wan was not feeling merciful
That and he couldn't bring himself to kill Anakin. So it was a mix of wanting him to suffer but also pity. That might seem like a conflicting set of emotions but it's entirely possible.

he could have saved him like sidious did

how, there isn't an obi-wan surgical reconstruction center.

If he got any closer to that lava, he'd surely burn up like Anakin.

what about facility padme was in
looked pretty sharp

Where did his mole go? He didn't have it in episode 4.

so how come sidious was ok

Because he loved him just like a brother. Didn't you watch it? Pay some attention.

so did darth maul

He was using the force. Plagueis taught him how to ignore environmental hazards that way; there's a bit in the legends book that describes snow falling around Plagueis rather than on him.

it looked pretty slick, but let her die in childbirth, that's some medieval shit.

Why didn't Anakin just lightspeed ram Obi Wan?

Sounds useful. Is it possible to learn this power?

Not from a jedi.

>obi wan holds lightsaber forward
>anakin force speeds into it

I'VE QUADRUPLED MY FLIP POWER!

That never would have worked without spinning.

Why didn't anakin just do this

This is so stupid. Fuck, Maul should have killed Obi on that oporunity if this high ground bullshit had have some consistency.

Having the high ground is indeed some advantage during a fight but it wasn't that important and Obi Wan knew it. He said it because he was desperately trying to find a way to avoid killing Anakin so by saying he has the high ground and that it's over he was still hoping that Anakin would surrender so he didn't have to kill him.

But he didn't kill him.

He was a good friend.

He could have force pushed him into the lava.

This is the same guy that use a blaster on a general

youtube.com/watch?v=fJNPs5CTz9s

why didn't Anakin just fly like his daughter Leia would later do?

And a better jedi, there's none.

...from a certain point of view.

>force lift anakin away from the lava so he doesn't burn to death
>or leave him there and watch his body go up like a christmas tree
and he was a good friend

Yeah, not like he could move objects with his mind or anything like that.

I'm sorry, Padme. I don't get to bring friends.

How does it work actually? Does the blade have any weight?

>How does it work actually?

From Obi Wan's point of view, he always has the high ground.

Obi Wan learned from Maul's mistakes.

get this hothead out of here

its the same principle as the solar system

Fuck you

vegeater what does the scanner say about his power level

Why didn't he simply fly, out of reach of Obi's light saver?

Why didn't Obi Wan simply fly up instead of making the risky jump over Maul?

Didn't the novel talk about the jedi fighting styles? Like how obi-wan is one of the best defensive duelists ever.

They pray to the jewish jesus god and he gives them magic powers n shieeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Wrong, he said it to put the idea in Anakin's fevered mind. He knew he would try to challenge obi van in remotely reasonable situation (basically you can't just say "i bet you won't drink lava right now"), obi the best.

HE though he did

Think it is kinda both, he wanted to not kill him, but he also made sure that if he tried to do it he would win, such is the ways of the top jedi strategist.

Revenge of the Sith wasn't that bad, it was edgy early 2000 internet tier, which makes it amusing

Actually fucking great, just think it

>Autistic old man
>Authoritarian black man
>Autistic coughing robot
>Edgy battle in volcano
>Funny dialogue
>Gorillas fighting along white soldiers against machines
>Order 666
>Autistic weak old man against green manlet
>Epic ultra detailed cool space battle as intro with shitty funny dialogue
>Dracula gets beheaded
>Young man gets burned and becomes a terminator because grandpa
>Killing children
>Nooooooooooooooooooo

Looks like I get to post this again

Yeah, Plinkett reviews present a really distorted picture of the prequels, sure Lucas might have made a ton of idiotic stylistic/plot/thematic choices, but they're enjoyable
They're just not the same movies as OT, each of them seems to be for a slightly different (younger) audience, but they all have interesting elements, design, and ideas. Far from the incompetent schlock they make them out to be.

I like how in the original series Jedi's were Monk-esque with temples and meditation. In the prequels they're simply warriors with lightsabers who run into battle.

Exactly, that was the keyword, "enjoyable"

>the only way [Spinning] could defeat [It's Treason Then] was by spinning Vader's allegiance from his master to his son, therefore making siding with Sidious treason, conceding the HG to Luke

...

And this, of course, was only possible thanks to Luke's ability [I'm Not Looking For A Friend] which allows him to make his opponent's true character come into play and puts them on the same moral High Ground, a more refined version of Yoda's [Size Matters Not].

GREAT post
KEEP IT UP!!!

Maybe he lightsabers it off

The explanation is apparently an anti gravity device built into the saber.
Would have been nice if they ever explained it in the show.

Because he forgot spinning was a good trick, despite it being the signature move of his master. Ironic
