It depends. Sometimes it loops around into being good, like Tails Gets Trolled, but most of the time it's just plain bad like those awful EEnE comics.

it can't just be aware. it has to be like TGT where the author is aware yet still remains autistic enough on top of it, that gives it a perfect blend of seriousness and retardation that makes it great.
either that or it has to be full autism mode ala sonichu, where it's legit so unnaware and low-quality that you just can't stop looking.
