ITT shows people only like because of nostalgia

You first

Samurai Jack

...

samurai jack has legit 10/10 episodes. Try to watch Teen Titans nowadays, it's literally embarrasing and it just apes anime (like a lot of shows at the time) and had heavy handed episodes like Troq.

Ed Edd & Eddy

no correct answers so far

see

seriously as someone who swore by teen titans when it aired and loved it as a kid, what makes it good now? It's humor was terrible and just aped anime half the time, even the serious episodes weren't that good. Not to mention S5 was atrocious. Best thing about that series was Ron Perlman's Slade.

still none

None are right so far, but I can't say for Teen Titans because I never watched a single episode.

Any power rangers series

I agree. I used to be a turbo autist for Teen Titans. But I really can't watch it now, the chibi over reactions, the over bearing friendship morals, the cheesy dialogue. God, I hate growing up.

Tbh I only care about the Red X and Slade story line, other than that I could really care less about this show

The theme is still catchy if charmingly cheesy though. Also Slade is a top tier cartoon villain.

False, people also like Teen Titans because Starfire and Raven are hot.

Spider-man the animated series.

This.

Tom and Jerry. So dated. I mean, c'mon. Cats don't walk and mice don't either! And how come they don't quip? I WANT QUIP! And they get hurt. I don't like seeing animals get hurt, ya'll. I mean, c'mon! Animal abuse is such a serious problem!

I hate this show, but I will defend it in saying its so bad its good at times.

It's so corny. It's like the room of 90's animated series, but so much more...spider-man. I don't know. It was trippy.

How old are you that you are nostalgic for a show that stopped airing originals when Obama was president? Are you nostalgic for PS3 and the new 52 as well?

nigga are you fucking 40 or something? I was 11 when it first aired in 2003, how could you not be nostalgic then?

>already an adult when TT came out
>thought it looked stupid and excessively weeaboo
>give it a shot
>really grow to love it

I am very sure it's not nostalgia.

>Samurai Jack
>not aping anime
watch episode 10

It's super rare for adults to have liked this series when it came out. All I remember were fans of comics shitting on it for being excessively weaboo and not at all like the Justice League. Funny enough I found the Justice League boring as a kid but was a turbo autist for TT, now I love Justice League but can't watch TT anymore.

I watched Teen Titans and most of Samurai Jack for the first time this year.

I liked Teen Titans quite a bit more.

>Not to mention S5 was atrocious.
You're insane. Season 5 was ridiculously good. Pretty much every episode was pure gold.

You may be too young to know this (and probably to post on Sup Forums at all), but Samurai Jack episode 10 is "Jack and the Lava Monster".

You mean Starfire, Raven, Jinx, Terra, Argent, Bumblebee, Kole, Blackfire, Kitten, and Cheshire?
(Because I desperately want them all drawn in a group shot in the original style of the show.)

>every show ever.jpg

Does this only apply to cartoons?

Teen Titans has legit 11/10 episodes, though.

Tiny Toons
Spider-Man TAS
X-Men TAS

Oh you! you know what I meant

no

Woops, looks like you accidentally pressed 1 twice when writing 1/10

Those are correct. I never watched TT when I was a kid, and only recently gave it a chance since everyone was praising it so much. Turned out it was fairly mediocre.

Ed Edd & Eddy, on the other hand, used to be my favorite cartoon of all times when I was a kid, but on the recent rewatch I found it not to be nearly as good as I thought it was unfortunately.

No, they are not "correct", as and clearly show. You just have shit taste.

I rewatched it recently and I still like it. The animation quality is terrible, but I'm still impressed at how the writers were able to take some of the most obscure Spider-villains (The Spot?) and craft good stories with them.

Long-form storytelling is also pretty cool, and I liked how there was strong continuity between episodes, and that Peter actually changed as a person throughout the show.

Plus they actually stuck pretty close to canon and adapted a lot of the comic book storylines pretty well. And when they diverged they still made some good shit, like Six Forgotten Warriors.

why didn't this show ever get the nostalgia treatment that TT did? It was pretty neat.

Only one reason: Batman:TAS nostalgiafags.

I always saw this as a prequel to TT, especially given Robin's design, and also Murakami's involvement in both.

I'm on season 1 episode 11. When does this get good?

It's about to. The season finale is up next.
Though how you can think e.g. "Masks" wasn't good is beyond me, really.

Trigon

Nevermore was the first episode I really liked. Then the two finale episodes. Season 2 starts strong and all the Terra episodes are great, but there are some stinkers in between.

Oh yeah the Raven one. I liked it as well actually.

The 60s or 90s series?

>Season 2 starts strong
HOW LONG IS FOREVER

Animaniacs
80's TMNT
Smurfs
Foster's Home

Get out oldfag

Because it had kung fu Penguin and Marilyn Manson Riddler. Seriously, what were they thinking?

The designs might have something to do with it.

>seriously as someone who swore by teen titans when it aired and loved it as a kid, what makes it good now?
zone-tan's porn

Fuck you, the designs were awesome. Animesque is always great.

I'm sure it had some decent writing in places but I literally could not get past the bad attempts at mimicking anime slapstick (which I usually don't like anyways)

....no?

Troq was a brilliant episode, if only for how it still triggers Tumblr to this very day.

But seriously though, the feels from that ep...

It's biggest mistake was changing the intro theme.

>It's super rare for adults to have liked this series when it came out.
The show was popular with adults and kids
>All I remember were fans of comics shitting on it for being excessively weaboo
Pretty sure they were a minority given how very little people gave a shit about the comics back then. Titans had not be relevant for years before the TV series aired

>why didn't this show ever get the nostalgia treatment that TT did?
NOT MUH BTAS

The original intro theme for that show was a million times better than the TAS one.

Even the other opening theme was better IMO.

...

This

Only on Sup Forums, I find morons bitching about the "anime art style" - it's all cartoons at the end of the day.

Animesque cartoons are always the best cartoons.

>anime art style

Best art style because the characters actually resemble human beings instead of being 90% face on sticks like in many modern cartoons.

This, plus anime-style art = anime-style writing about 99% of the time. And that's awesome.

>implying an adult would be able to sit through any of the cartoons you grew up with without dying of boredom

I've read this a few times now and I still legitimately can't wrap my head around how people can be this wrong.
