So, which one is the better series?

Six
Six. Easily Gail Simone's finest work.
Secret Six has nothing that comes close to this issue.
Ostrander's.
Secret Six is fun, but comparing it to Ostrander Squad is kind of insulting.
SS
S6 is still great though
Squad but I prefer Six. They are not very alike aside from broad strokes.
Squad. Secret Six has aged badly.
this
Do I need any preresiquite reading or can I just jump right in with issue 1 and continue till it's done?
I think it spun out of Villains United.
Squad and it's not close
Villains United --> Secret Six Miniseries -->Birds of Prey Dead of Winter story arc -->36 issue ongoing series
they're both great but Six can't match Squad's high points
the TPB (the white books) have them in order if you like buying stuff
Oh yeah I should add, like said, the new trade versions contain Villains United and the Miniseries in the first volume
Suicide Squad is way better as a whole but I'd happily recommend both series.
I liked Secret Six more, but both are nice.
John Ostrander's Suicide Squad is the gold standard which all non-hero cape teams are forever compared against.
Secret Six will be forgotten in 10 or 20 years.
S6 is good, but SS is great
Didn't Ostrander also write for Secret Six?
Only a single issue all about Deadshot (which was great), and some of the plotting for the Blackest Night/Suicide Squad revival/crossover thing
It was the one where he sees his shrink, right?
This seems like the time to ask, does anyone have links to Ostrander's Suicide Squad? The most recent zippyshares I could find in desuarchive are dead now.
Try googling it online. There are some pretty sweet sites with a large collection of comics.
The Padre from the Suicide Squad, which is the closest to a shrink that Lawton would go to
This is why Zippyshare was a mistake.
I like Gail's villains more, but like Ostrander's drama more.
Both did fine job with using more minor villains and making them useful.
Damn ... this is like holding a gun to your two children.
I'm gonna be a bitch and not decide by mentioning how good the SuicideSquad/SecretSix Blackest Night tie ins were. Good stuff
You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.
Squad, one of the best titles of DC in the eighties.
