there are some pretty weak seasons but sometimes people really find new ways to win. shit like redemption island was also a really nice thing. so were the seasons with extreme conditions

Survivor is a great game. A great TV show. Australian Survivor 2016 and 2017 show that Americna Survivor needs more hours and possibly more players.
It is literally the most underrated entertainment on the planet.

what do you mean user? I have never seen the Aussie version but I feel like later season of the American is way too short and dumbed down, especially in the end. Do Aussies do it better?

The two Australian seasns (make sure its 2016 and 2017 when yoou hunt them, and not the ancient ones from early 2000s that are terrible) have 24 players and episodes can run over an hour instead of just 40 minutes like US. And there are sometimes non-vote out episodes too.
2016 Australian Survivor is filled with old-school type "loyalty over all" players, and nobody realized that you get punished for overplaying more in a longer season, so it can drag a lot in the middle if yoou dont love Survivoor, but the finale is one oof the best ever.
2017 AU Survivor is probably the 2nd best Survivor season of all-time behind Cagayan.
The cast is amazing and the longer episodes and more episodes really flesh them out. You get more silliness, more strategy, more emtional things. just MORE no matter which part of the show appeals to you.
If you havent watched them, watch them. (Be aware 2017 will spoil 2016 if you try to watch the great one first)
