Take your bait elsewhere, nigger boy. Around these parts RLM is kino and nothing will ever change that.
Seems like he only hates disney because of white guilt, the lack of diversity and ir sex scenes on both sides of the camera

Gay love scenes on SW: 0
Gay love scenes on ST: 3
Disney is so progressive.
Idiot stupid motherfucker fag, it's literaly okay when they do it. THERE IS A HUGE CRUCIAL DIFFERENCE ON THE HOW AND WHY.

Nu/tv/ is all about RLM.
Nu tv, old tv, call it what you want. Only buttmad niggers who are crying because RLM shit on a shitty movie they like dislike RLM.
>it's a butthurt rlm obsessive thread
BUT I'M A BIG STAR WARS FAN, DON'T YOU SEE?
I LOVE STAR WARS SO MUCH THAT IF YOU TELL ME SOMETHING IS EXPLAINED IN THE EU OR IN A BOOK SOMEWHERE, I'LL TELL YOU YOU'RE A HUGE FUCKING NERD WITH NO LIFE!!!!!
BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT I LOVE? ALL THE STAR TREK BOOKS WILLIAM SHATNER WROTE! THAT WAS SOME GOOD LITERATURE!
Jay's lookign weird lately.
FACT IS: Star Wars is dead. It is a hollow piece of shit now. The last bit of the cast spell has finally been extinguished.
George Lucas literally gave people belief in the magic of movies after the mess of the Vietnam War and the OPEC oil crisis.
All that's left now is shoveling as much plastic toys as is possible till the last of the fans abandon ship.
The hack Max Landis was right about one thing: The next Star Wars is not going to be called Star Wars. And you can't force magic, it has to happen naturally. We just have to be patient.
I need that 'very cool' shirt
>ALL THE STAR TREK BOOKS WILLIAM SHATNER WROTE! THAT WAS SOME GOOD LITERATURE!
Star Trek memories was awesome. It was co authored by a real writer. After the first page and a half which Shatner wrote, it actually gets really good.
nu/tv/? Nigga Plinkett reviews used to get stickied on this board back in like 2010.
>Mike goes to Denmark
>gets interviewed by Danish Jay
>hating disney is somehow a bad thing
what did OP mean by this
They've always been considered unfunny fakes and frauds around these parts newfag. Fuck off.
When did you notice they were going to shit? IMO They started going to shit around 2014, but the real nails in the coffin happened around late 2015/early 2016
1. Poor Half in the Bag TFA review where they gush over the movie undeservably.
2. Space Cop gets released and is pure shit, showing they don't still don't have any actual film making talent as they're in their 40s and are still making the same shit they were when they were teenagers, which is why they use irony as a veneer to hide their insecurities.
3. Plinkett TFA review spent over half the review backtracking to the prequels, and when it got to reviewing TFA, Mike obviously didn't have any interest and completely half assed it.
4. Pre Rec highlights how cancerous AIDS and Rich are
Depends on who responds.
I love those unfunny frauds.
they literally lie about whats in a movie (Man Of Steel)

Buy an ad you cheap fuck

they were great until korey turned into a typical angry nigger
what i learned after the site went down and cyrus made a new bad website, then korey made a new bad website is that cohost was the only good person in the group
He's a fan on the movies, what else do you want?
its all spot on though
>tfw they're probably proud of Space Cop
It's not, it's just a bunch of bullshit that gets repeated by the same butthurt faggot in each thread. I bet you are the same type to post that big image macro graph "exposing" RLM.
space cop 2 mid production
>Space Cop wasn't that bad
>The Force Awakens
>Recognizable star wars set pieces and original trilogy pandering is a good thing
>Rogue One
>Recognizable star wars set pieces and original trilogy pandering is a bad thing
This is where they lost me. Stick with one or another damn it.
it had a few funny moments but I expected more from film school graduates with 20+ years of experience in filmmaking
>this meme argument again
It's almost like context matters?
You are right. Context DOES matter. OT pandering is acceptable in Rogue One because it takes place during the OT, unlike TFA. Somehow these fuckups managed to get that backwards
>mike admits that TFA was a soft reboot and a scam that even he fell for in the Plinkett review
when will this meme stop?
>during the OT
>it's actually pre-ANH
what did he mean by this
>OT pandering is acceptable in Rogue One because it takes place during the OT
This is the dumbest sort of gymnastic to defend RO I've ever seen, that doesn't change the fact that the characters are objectively poorly written and 2-Dimensional.
Rogue One is much closer to ANH than it is to RotS don't play stupid
Who gives a shit? This doesn't make the film good.
I'm not defending it. I'm saying that if it's okay in one it's okay in the other. I can't wrap my head around why they think it's okay for TFA but not TLJ
I didn't say Rogue One is good. Im calling them out on their hypocracy. I don't like star wars enough to have preference between the two
>I'm not defending it. I'm saying that if it's okay in one it's okay in the other. I can't wrap my head around why they think it's okay for TFA but not TLJ
Because what works for one film may not work for another you stupid retard. Two movies can try to do the exact same thing, and one can make it work (like TFA worked) while the other bombs spectacularly (RO).
You fundamentally don't understand how context works or how basic criticism can look at the same concept being done to different degrees of success.
From what I remember, they gave TFA a pass because it was supposed to be the safe, soft-reboot movie that would reintroduce Star Wars to a whole new generation of fans. Rouge One is film targeted at the fans of the original trilogy.
>Im calling them out on their hypocracy.
There is no hypocrisy, you're just sort of stupid about it.
How about some specifics then instead of just making empty claims?
What about it works for The Force Awakens that doesn't for Rogue One
This looks like the monkey-bird from pirates of dark water.
>there are people on this board that actually spent their time watching Rouge One
>I claim to be a star wars fan
source
>your opinions are "empty claims"
fucking kek, how does that make any sense in your brain?
>What about it works for The Force Awakens that doesn't for Rogue One
The Force Awakens was always marketed on "muh nostalgia" that was back behind the promise of new characters in a different era. Rogue One knew it had nothing to offer in terms of story, so it absolutely banked on the "classic trilogy" aesthetic, despite having no strong characters or interesting set pieces beyond what...a beach battle? It's HOW nostalgia is used that makes The Force Awakens a stronger film in comparison, while Rogue One tried far too fucking hard to bat you over the head with "memba' Star Wars!?" While oddly trying to be a gritty war movie. It tonally didn't work, since Rogue One didn't actually know what sort of story it was trying to tell. The Force Awakens knew the audience, knew what people wanted and needed to act as a soft reboot for obvious reasons.
Two movies used nostalgia and the source material in more or less the same attempt, but one worked.
Why did they give a pass to TFA for being a reboot when a reboot fundamentally clashes with the ending of the OT?
E-celebs gonna do what they gonna do.
It's a soft reboot, not a full reboot.
Wait, when did he make this???
It still destroys the ending of the OT.
>DESTROYS
calm down, it doesn't really.
Not really. It just skips a big portion of the story where the Empire regains power in the form of the First Order.
every character from the OT became a huge failure, the rebellion/new republic is a huge failure, luke han and leia offscreen are all dead, theres nothing to care about anymore. Star Wars has been complete garbage since 1999
So it destroys it. The New Republic is dead and everything is back to where it was at the beginning of A New Hope, and to add insult to injury they don't even take the time to properly cover how everyone got into this mess. That doesn't even cover the character assassination.
>every character from the OT became a huge failure
That's literally the theme for the new trilogy. "Hero worship makes you retarded, there is still good in the world but it's in places you least expect, failure can make you stronger". That's the direction.
the movies are the shit bit
>failure can make you stronger
What failure made Rey stronger?
The best RLM is Rich Evans
>every character from the OT became a huge failure
Han is Han, Leia is Leia, Luke becomes a recluse
>the rebellion/new republic is a huge failure
Not until TLJ really
>luke han and leia offscreen are all dead
not related to the ending of the OT
>theres nothing to care about anymore
that's just you
>The New Republic is dead
Not really, it's pretty strong in TFA, it gets murdered in TLJ
>that doesn't even cover the character assassination
what did he mean by this?
She was naive about the Force and continues to put her faith in the wrong people who disappoint her (Luke, the idea that her parents are coming back, Kylo). I assume the message at the end of TLJ is that hero worship doesn't matter, she's already powerful. Like she's holding herself back for these autistic reasons.
Thats dumb. They made a series that shits over heroes the audience actually likes and replaces them with boring, one note heroes rey, finn and poe. What little good is in force awakens and last jedi was done 10 times better before
>Thats dumb.
It's not really, you just don't like the direction they took the themes personally. There is a difference, stupid faggot.
I'm not one of those manbabies that wanted Luke to be a literal anime character.
>she's already powerful
>failure makes you powerful
Which is it?
ANGRY SHILL
the ass pull logic of people defending/celebrating nu-star wars is hilarious. how many clickbait articles did you read to come up with this bullshit? They aren't smart movies, they're silly action adventure scifi flicks, and mediocre ones at that
You're illiterate. I said one of her faults is that she personally holds herself back by putting her faith in people she feels she "needs". That's a fault, user.
yes. It was so great to see an unnecessary sequel over 30 years later just to point out that Luke sucks. what a wonderful movie! so glad they didnt stop at 6
It's almost like we aren't a hivemind and I can enjoy a fucking movie? I never once called these movies "smart", buckaroonie. Star Wars isn't The Fountain here.
TLJ takes place shortly after TFA. They're not pretty strong if they get murdered in the timespan between TFA and TLJ.
We're talking about how TFA "destroyed" the ending of the OT. Stop moving the goalpost.
>an unnecessary sequel over 30 years later just to point out that Luke sucks.
Fuck you are so mad, aren't you? If all you took away from TLJ was that "Luke sucks" then you have autism, that's all I can say.
>Mike goes to Denmark
what
The Plinkett reviews got stickies full of adoration, newfag.
>2018
>Still caring about Dune for Retards: Mouse Edition
That's the problem with TFA, it doesn't stand on its own. You have no idea if the New Republic is still strong or totally dead by the end of the movie.
>WHY CANT EVERYONE HAVE ONE SINGULAR OPINION ABOUT MUH STAR WARS? SHILLS! SHILLS EVERYWHERE!! REEEEE!
I just want it to fucking end. Star Wars is 10 times worse then cape shit because the story is so fucking limited and repetitive. Who actually wants Disney to keep pumping out a new star wars every single year?
Stop moving goalposts.
who cares
Literally only ONE Star Wars film stands on its own without relying on the audience to know what Star Wars is, and that's ANH.
But it's never shown that she holds herself back. She effortlessly blows past anyone who stands in her way. She's never shown to struggle to get to her level of power.
Stop being stupid. You made the claim that the New Republic was still strong in TFA and I refuted that point. Your statement had no basis and you know it.
