The netflix Marvel shows need

1. Higher budgets
2. Fewer episodes per show

As netflix has a subscriber payment model, I don't see how it's advantageous to have more episodes to binge, it's not like that increases the ad revenue or anything.

And as they are very very popular shows that pretty much every male netflix subscriber watches (probably) and get good reviews, they deserve a bit of extra cash. The writing is good but sometimes it's pretty hard to disguise the contrivances that lead to 60% of episodes being filmed in either a dark room, a generic office block or a riverside warehouse.

They took the Star Wars approach and blamed it on the alt-right. I doubt season 2 will be any better.

This show is absolute garbage that completely disregards the source material that made the character popular in the first place. This is more like Homeland than The Punisher. It’s boring, it’s preachy, some of the fight scenes are very poorly choreographed, and it’s full of heavy handed political agenda that’s about as subtle as getting hit in the head by a brick. Be very wary of positive reviews, many of which seem to be repeating running themes from the Netflix marketing department. (“Jon is the Punisher”, “it’s a slow burn.” Etc) You ruined a great character Netflix. I will never trust you again.

Frank Castle would never participate in the torture and murder of an innocent man. Not in all of the incarnations of the Punisher comic series would this happen. Ever.
