A brilliant but cowardly investigator solves crimes despite having a weak stomach for gore and grissly murders. His crew often having to get down and dirty just so he doesn't have to.

Good for one or two seasons max user.

This is prime mid season replacement material right here

It's like Dexter but he's a rapist who rapes rapists.

South America is destroyed and inhabitants are now refugees in North America. Notorious serial killers from South America escape confinement during the chaos and are now loose in NA.

A new crimes unit is constructed to catch them.

A nerdy girl hacker

She's in a wheelchair

>Set in 90s LA.
>one brother is a cop
>the other brother is in the crips
>cops vs gangs shit

give emmys now

a female FBI agent recreates crimes to understand why the crime happened in the first place

>the optimistic lightskin brother joins the academy thinking he is going to help the community
>the darkskin brother is an outcast and turns to gangs because he is desperate
>after being sworn in the lightskin brother finds out the cops are just a bunch of racist neo-nazis who are trying to enforce white supremacy while gunning down innocent blacks in the street
>meanwhile the gangbangers are revealed to be poor folk just struggling to get by and do good deeds for their neighbors like a modern day robin hood
>the cops set up the darkskin brother in an entrapment case and recruit the lightskin brother as bait
>however the lightskin brother sees the injustice being done to the darkskin brother and betrays the police and ends up joining the gang
>using his police training he takes the rag tag group of gangsters and turns them into a political movement that exposes the racist corruption of the lapd and gets them disbanded
>the cops are replaced by blm community activists who usher in an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity in south la

coming this spring to netflix

Space Cop
He's a cop who solves crimes on other planets
He has a partner from Earth who doesn't know as much about space stuff, but Space Cop is an alcoholic so it's not like he can remember the space stuff either.
Other main characters include the weapons expert guy who's a big strong dude but also loves classical (alien) literature, and the spunky electronics/mechanic girl who's also the cook, but she had a past as a call girl she's not proud of.
There's a space mobster guy who stats off as an antagonist (red herring in crimes, can be informant if the price is right) but we learn he lives by a code and these new upstart wannabe-mobsters are ruining it for everyone.
There's Monster-of-the-week episodes, but there's also a larger, over-arching plot about Space Cop's wife (believed dead, but secretly kept as a slave in crystal-data mines or something no so rape-y) and daughter (in a space coma, but can communicate somewhat via an alien race that can translate brainwaves into colors and light, so she can sometimes help with the weekly plots, but not as useful in the field).

A mentalist with perfect memory that has premonitions and solves crimes from the past talking with ghosts

Wheels and the Legman

Law and Order but just call it like, Precinct 255 or something, and just take ideas from the newspaper every week so you don't have to do any writing and can just do coke with hookers all the time

>Set in mid-to-late 90's USA, preferably Texas
>Regular "aw shucks he's just an everyguy in his mid 20's" guy is a homicide detective (or he's in his early 30's and a Texas Ranger)
>Protagonist has a (high functioning) autistic younger brother who he's been taking care of ever since their parents died (dad was a criminal/cop, died "on the job"; mom died of health complications when they were in their teens), lives with protagonist
>Protag's younger autistic brother is basically rainman-tier
>ends up helping older brother with solving crimes by using his rainman-autism-abilities because he's locked up at protag's house all day & likes to solve puzzles, stumbles across crime scene photos/case files or some such cliche
>protag has supporting cast of co-workers who know about his autistic brother & help him take care of the guy
>eventually mid-series they encounter a serial killer who has been stalking the protag and his brother's casework since the middle or end of S1
>serial killer stalks protag & brother, climaxes with brother getting kidnapped
>turns into a whole "at last I meet someone worthy of my intellect" or whatever confrontation
>autiste does some mcguyver shit to help his brother & team locate him
>protag & coworkers locate autiste, kill bad guy, good times are had in the subsequent seasons
>protag eventually finds a wife & settles down (maybe with co-worker love interest?), autiste is recruited by some stupid special secret gvt agency revealed to exist that basically farms & utilizes autists to fight terrorism or whatever
>possibility for reboot where brother comes out of retirement to work/consult for feds + brother serves as "brains" back at HQ

Supernatural is probably about to go off of the air. That means the CW will have an open spot on the schedule. And it will need a new procedural.

Supergirl is also probably not going to make it nor are the rest of the superhero shows CW is investing in. This means CW executives would want something to replace the long stand-by Supernatural with that will also have similar
staying power.

Bones is also off of the air. So now you have room for a new show with a man and woman pair as your protagonists. However, you don't want to be too pat with comparisons to the X-files or Bones, so you can't have a man who is tall and handsome in the lead, and your leading woman can't be a brainy doctor type eiher. So you have to reverse these roles. Good looking, confident, experienced woman with an intellectual, non-aggressive man as her work partner. BUT you don't want to go full stereotype with these roles. You want it to come across lightly. Both have a high level of respect for the other, there is only occasional ribbing about one another nature. If someone else attacks the other's character, they'll quickly adjust that person's attitude.

No serious romance between the leads. Hints every once in a while followed laughter and "ha ha what the fuck NO" type of reactions from the m. They each have their own personal romantic interests that come and go over the course of the show.

No Scooby gang, but a cast of supporting characters who are occasionally along for the ride. Brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers all play roles and some of them may be mysteriously missing at the beginning of the series with surprise returns and reveals as time goes by.

White leads, but one of them is not white-white. Their race and ethnicity does not play a major role in the plot. Supporting cast is mostly white with a few brown people thrown in and one or two actually different looking people played by the most skilled actors of that race you can find.

The Interrogater

Rather then any normal police work, it's a consultant FBI interrogater who spends 41 minutes interrogating potential sociopaths, pyschopaths, drugs lords and seriel killers in almost real time. Really getting into the mind of those accused. The person interrogated is not always the one guilty and the same crime can be spread across several episodes, and you can infer how the investigation is going from the interrogaters attitude, background stuff like reports on TV, the odd time other people help or he/she have a water break and talks to other agents

starry eyed cop discovers corruption.
starts with his partner, eventually implicates politicians in season 8

lots of temptation and revelation along the way. Easy

A FBI special agent that is part of a task force that hunts down sexual predators, BUT behind his facade of professionalism hides a unspeakable secret, he's a pedophile himself, will he manage to keep his urges at bay or will he succumb to his dark nature? Stay tuned folks!

nibba that's just Dexter but with pedophilia instead of bloodlust

the agent is actually the killer every time, but every episode is him successfully framing someone else. wait, is that what dexter was? never watched that show

Your protagonists are working for the FBI, and have been assigned to investigate cases involving the supernatural and the strange. In this world the FBI and the US government is well aware of the existence of demons, aliens, super powered individuals, future technology, an everything in between. If it's weird it can show up on the show. Normal people are not privy to this information. This essentially makes our protagonists are variation on the "Men in Black" concept but it is not played for laughs in the same way as the movie series of the same name. Think more like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. meets Law and Order meets Angel.

With so many weird things going on there will be ample opportunities for adventures and variations of episodes in between character moments and relationship scenes. I think 8 years on the air is quite reasonable to expect.

forgot to add: gotta cast some fuccboi twink faggot who can become mel gibson tier around season 5

No, Dexter is stupid because he's clearly the gud guy killing criminals, the psycho thing is merely dressing, in this case the guy is something that most people recognize as evil.

But doesnt the same "I am [x] so I can identify other [x]'s easier unlike the regular people" type of plot device still apply?

"She's an A with B who does C. He's an X with a Y to Z. Together... they solve crimes."

Insert literally anything for the variables. Boom, tv show.

A cop smokes crack from the evidence locker and discovers it helps him police much better, so you follow him on his drug fueled police romp, only by the 8th season to discover our boi has been psychosis since like season 3.

10secs?
I need more time dammit

That's very current, user. Good job.

All right as a mini series maybe covering one case and with multiple interviews, no way you can make 8 seasons out of it

...

>A cop smokes crack from the evidence locker and discovers it helps him police much better, so you follow him on his drug fueled police romp, only by the 8th season to discover our boi has been psychosis since like season 3.
I think this might be the actual premise of Twin Peaks.

Police Cops
Featuring: sneed

Here's the twist: the mafia went legit 30 years ago and our protagonist was groomed to be chief of police. Cast includes Jimmy smitts, Ray Romano and Al pacino as devils avocado

the sun one always gets me

Pretty based

>Netflix's "Brothers in LA" is exactly the story we need right now and here's why.

Replace Ray Romano with the old fella from Better Call Saul who plays the fixer/badass and I'd watch it

A detective series based in Norwich called "Swallow". Swallow is a detective who tackles vandalism. Bit of a maverick, not afraid to break the law if he thinks it's necessary. He's not a criminal, you know, but he will, perhaps, travel 80mph on the motorway if, for example, he wants to get somewhere quickly

This is hannibal

>That thrilling three parter he has to take someone down who didn't get their ID checked when geting plastic knives from tesco

>Kids are callin' it Brown Christmas

Due to pressure from the far left, a small town abolishes its police force.

Detective team solves crimes AFTER they happen.

im already humming the theme

hmmHMM hmm hmmmm hmm hmm hmm HMMM

>hilarity ensues

A crime procedural done in a very primitive neolithic society, like, first police squad in literal history.

youtube.com/watch?v=E7eYvovbH3Q

A jaded NEET Sup Forumstard decides to hunt down and kill elite jews like the Rothschild family etc. and human traffickers alone. He gets lucky with the first kill of a low-level pedodrone and takes all his money which he uses to finance his kill-quest, but as he gets deeper and deeper he turns to the dark side and the last episode ends with him raping some infant in a ritual. Pottery.

a cop drama about two black cops in Flint Michigan and their struggle to balance between their *loyalty* to muh brothas, and their jobs. Show would explore the phenomenon of being an Uncle Tom and black on white racism, where black cops would often treat white felons more harshly than negros

bonus: directed by a black dude or better yet woman.

After a rash of crimes and murders done by the alt-righ, the police force must go to their last resource, a NEET.

Having the mind if a NEET on their team to catch Delinquent NEETs. I call if CSI.

Crime Soy Investigation.

Criminal Minds

Police Guys
it's a cop show, but from the male perspective

Yeah but that's not really the focus, in Dexter the moral dillema is weak because most people doesn't really care about bad guys being killed, he's basically an emo Punisher.

A movie of a man kidnaping kids to get them raped on camera by future blackmailed politicians and also eaten in some elite ritual would be kino
I wonder why it has never been done

Isnt that basically NYPD Blue

White blonde female cop with a black male partner titled The Right Mix

BUT the story is told from the perspective of the unassuming normie detectives who gets put on the case to catch him, however as both the detectives and the killer go deeper into the netherworld of elite pedojewry they realize they are on the same team. They decide to go after the pedos together. However, they all get corrupted by the netherworld and the detectives end up dead. The original killer ends up being palpatine'd by the pedojews and ends up as one of them.

You can play around with the mythology of conspiracy theories with this too. The protagonists get to talk about all the history of their organization and the various cover-ups and incidents they've dealt with. They can visit Area 51, the skunkworks, etc. As well as delve into Soviet black projects.

This show would need a lot of CG and costumes for the creatures, but the CW is well equipped to produce that kind of show with the various super hero shows in the same production pipeline.

The Hidden: the Series
Hardened New York cop parners up with an eccentric, but equally qualified transfer who happens to be an alien sent by his planet because Earth is a hotbed for various species of alien criminals.

>8 seasons of this formula
lol

CSI: Silicone Valley

Production is set in Raleigh, NC near the Research Triangle (the real Silicon Valley costs a fortune to shoot in). The "other" silicon valley of the USA.

This would be kino but it would also be canceled after 2 episodes.

Isn't this literally The Closer?

FULL PENETRATION

Cyberpunk television shows tend to struggle. There was one on Fox a few years ago that seemed okay story-wise and had decent special effects, but it did abysmal ratings. Nobody has quite cracked the formula on it yet for network TV. Maybe on the syfy channel you can get a few years.

You're not allowed to just copy a show that already exists.

That is literally Monk

Best one in the thread tbqh

Late 90s seems a bit too recent to be special enough to bother with. Everything else is quite good. But I don't think it would run for 8 seasons. 3-5 sounds good.

"It's like House but he's a cop".

Too on the nose. Move it to St. Louis.

Shoot in 4k 60 fps if you want to be avante-garde.

I also thought the same thing immediately after I posted it, since an autiste would be more of a force to be reckoned with if he had circa-2018 technology

ITT: Hurr a show where we kill all those Jews and Blacks amirite guys?
Get some fucking originality, you took a fun thread idea and had to put your idiocy into it even though it had nothing to do with it.

There is no other Silicon Valley in the US. Go broke or go home.

Are you some kind of naive CS student? If you disregard NC when looking for work you're a fool.

maybe reddit is more your speed

Just disregard the shitposts and respond to the ones that are relevant.

1920s detective noir with some underlying paranormal themes.

The year is 6,000,000,000 A.D.

One thousand years after a war between the Milky Way Galaxy and Andromeda Galaxy has ended, with the former (while vastly outclassed in both size and intellect) coming out the victor. In the final years of the conflict, both galaxies maneuvered within a mere 200,000 lightyears of each other and, after triggering scores of stars to supernovae and directing wasted heat energy at 99% the speed of light toward their enemy, turning entire solar systems into empty black voids, they finally crashed into each other.

Forming one giant galaxy, the younger Milky Way should have been adsorbed, the knowledge of the combined sentient races within her consumed and their cultural identities erased, a forced assimilation to an Andromedian way of life and thinking imposed.

Instead, Andromeda seems to give up at the last moment, suffering a galaxy-wide stroke and going silent.

The sentient intelligence that is the Milky Way Galaxy creates a computer-virus like life form (our main character) who's sole purpose is to travel through the planets and Dyson Spheres and star cluster of Andromeda, to find out why she killed herself, and to reassemble and revive her if possible.

But it triggers me!

That sounds like the end of space LOST

Also you could just add a "black widow serial killer" type of female love interest for the protag to stretch it out for 1-2 more seasons. Bonus points if she butts heads with the autistic brother because he sees her for her true nature but can't prove it/do anything for a while because he isn't a cop

1890s buddy cop drama about getting along as different races.

if you want to see what this looks like, check out any Indian reservation. most have 1 maybe 2 tribal police who are appointed by the tribe so they can't ruffle any feathers without fear of being fired and because reservations are considered sovereign land, no one else can investigate anything that happens on tribal land.
