I had only watched the OT and I didn't like the new movies at all. So I watched the prequels, they aren't really that bad, they are just solid fantasy movies, what is it with people saying they are worse than the new star wars movies? The new ones are terrible.

I always liked them - it's like a wild rollercoaster ride, at times they're utter shit but then there's those few scenes that are just utter brilliance.

Just got back from watching episode 8.

Holy fuck, what the fuck was that? So many questions left unanswered and so many opportunities missed. What the fuck. Easily the second worst movie in the series.

A lot of the Palpatine-Anakin scenes are very good, you might say it's a meme but I find the part about Darth Plagueis to be very good

It's a definite pleb filter. There are a lot of terrible scenes, but the shot of Anakin and Padme kissing as they are drawn in chains into the arena on that chariot as the music swells. Absolůt kinograhé.

At least the prequels have fantastic spin-off material like cartoons, books, and video games that redeem the movies themselves somewhat. The sequels ain't got jackshit for spin-off material. The sequels are just fucking worthless.
