are you fucking psychic? I just watched this whole show last week
I'm watching it too. I'm on the last episode. It was pretty gud even though I had a hard time following it because I kept watching it in bed and falling asleep.
Not because it was boring, just tired.
It's pretty dumb when Claudius marries his niece and lets Nero take over at the end. He claims things will get so bad the republic will come back, but obviously thats not what happens

>tfw your wife has a competition with a whore in your palace over who can fuck the most men before getting worn out first
It’s because you newfags get recommended in Rome threads and then post like you found the holy grail, there’s an attempt at Claudius threads a few days after every rome thread but it rarely takes off.
I spend way too much time in here so I notice shit like his.
HOW WILL REPUBLIKEKS EVER RECOVER?!?!?!
she was such a massive bitch
at least both shows are good
what did he mean by this
One of my favorite Fraiser jokes:
Frasier: "Let's watch 'I Claudius'."
Sam Malone: "Oh yeah, I love gladiator flicks."
NOT MY HEAD! DON'T LET THEM TAKE MY HEAD!
so that was on cheers then?
Cheers joke there, buddy boy. Credit where credit is due.
>George R. R. Martin, the author of The Song of Ice and Fire series, has stated that central character Stannis Baratheon is partially inspired by Tiberius Caesar, particularly his portrayal in I Claudius
>Livia lives through the collapse of the Republic and the fratricidal bloodletting and general chaos that it entailed
>has to suffer DUDE JUST BRING THE REPUBLIC BACK WHAT COULD GO WRONG :DDDDD from all the competent successors
Livia..Livia had a hard life
well she also had a bunch of guys assassinated who would have been better emperors then tiberius and caligula
John Hurt as Caligula, doesn't get much better.
Most of whom were Republicfags hoping to restore the Republic as soon as they became emperor
and Caligula and Nero were better? Lets have crazy, murderous idiots have supreme power, that will work out great.
Well no, but when you have to choose between
>well meaning, competent idiots that will restore the Republic (with all the chaos it will inevitable entail)
and
>useless, corrupt degenerates that will ultimately be a blip on the legacy of the Roman Empire, as most of their successors will be generally competent and sane
It's not hard to see why Livia was right
