How right is this?

How right is this?

Injustice insists otherwise.

Mostly. Superman is a better person, but that's mostly upbringing.

Superman is partly defined by how much he holds back. He wants to stop people and not hurt them. But it would be easy for him to hurt.

Batman not only knows he is weaker in that fight, he has less restraint. He wants to hurt people as a deterrent. So part of his intent and practice is being ruthless. So he applies himself to hurting.

True, there are many supermen and batmen, but that is a particularly ill tempered and sadistic example. Injustice Superman was always one of the more flawed ones psychologically.

Injustice Superman is not Superman.

>Superman is partly defined by how much he holds back. He wants to stop people and not hurt them. But it would be easy for him to hurt.

so he's pic related?

...

...

...

...

Pretty right. In most fights between the two, Superman always holds back and hesitates to use lethal force out of hope that there's some other way to end things. Batman is the one that escalates the fight to the death.

...

No, since Superman was created first, Vash is Supes.

...

But were they pushing the I CANT KILL ANYONE EVER thing with supes at the time? I thought he was going through an edgy kill everyone phase

Only for the MoS movies. There are so many versions of any given hero it's hard to pin down just one solid attribute between them all besides their name and costume.

Good point i think by that point hed already killed zod. And later on doomsday and cyborg superman.

>Only for the MoS movies. There are so many versions of any given hero it's hard to pin down just one solid attribute between them all besides their name and costume.

Most Supermen tend to hold back in fights, particularly with other heroes. Its a defining trait.

Fight me.

Supermen who don't hold back:
>Injustice Supes
>Animated Mexican Supes who is actually Zod (yes I'm even counting this one)
>Ultraman

...help me out here.

He didn't kill Doomsday.
He didn't kill Cyborg Superman.

Darkseid pretend to kill Henshaw during a fight with Supes.
Waverider left Doomsday at the end of the time at the heat death of the cosmos during a fight with Supes.

All in the same arc, yet none of it counts since it was neither Superman who did the deed, nor were they actual deaths.

Injustice is not Canon motherfucker

I thought Doomsday thing was he does die, just come back tougher

Didn't Injustice Supes hold back in his duel with Wonder Woman?

>Brother Eye
Yeah, Batman's pretty much a monster.

It's false. Batman is also a good person. Frank Miller is a hack.

Injustice also insists that Wonder Woman is a manipulative asshole. Ed Boon is full of shit.

That's why they couldn't just kill him.

They put him at the end of time so that there would be no other moment for him to return.

Then brainiac just went over there and picked him up, ruined everything.

Clark a best

wait does superman always turn his head super fast like that

Not always, but he could if he wanted. The intent for that page though is to make Supes look inhuman and creepy.

Unreliable narrator. All that matters is that Batman believes himself to not be a good person.

...

Even then that would be wrong because that's not how his character is. Ugh, just bring back the Silver Age.

This page is great, it really shows how good damn terrifying Supes can be and how big Lex's balls are for pushing him that far and to keep going.

>Animated Mexican Supes

Hernan was shown holding back several times. If he didn't, he would be more Zod-like. It's clear, in his own way, that he's formed much more by his upbringing as poor, marginalized, immigrant, second-class citizenry, with none of the saving graces the Kent's brought to the party (even though they were likely low middle class on their own part, albeit not marginalized in any way shape or form, other than by class/economics).

Ultraman also didn't go full-on - he's frequently shown as not going after Owl Man, for example, even when OM gives him reason to. It's probably not the same as holding back but the point is that he doesn't go full on asshole villain except in the last iteration written by the Cereal King.
