never, because that will never happen

>Not even a fucking book.
>A movie.
Hah!

I like Simon and all, but it literally will never happen

Hey it's that guy who got sucked into Rogue and forgotten about for like 3 years.

Since he's a Superman analog, not a Wonder Woman analog, probably pretty badly BTFO, I mean come on, it's DC.

I don't know man, Cavill might be looking for work soon.

A Wonder Man movie will be solid gold, it will be the Entourage of superhero movies.

How about when the Captain Marvel movie blows away the Shazam movie? People will be like "Shazam.. that's an app for recognizing songs, right? Boy, they'll make a movie about anything these days."

>How badly will I feel when:

(a) my basement floods
(b) my cousin refuses to be my date to the next family wedding
(c) my boss refuses to let me switch nights so I won't be able to be on-line to buy my Comic Con toys on the secondary market
(d) mom raises my rent by another $100 because Comcast sent her another sternly worded letter about my porn downloads

Look I love Simon, but he isn't getting a movie.

>z lister
>movie
Keked.

Why not just leave him on the Avengers anyway? They could always use a strong guy that sticks around.

...

>There will never be a Wonder Man movie about Wonder Man going to Hollywood to star as Wonder Man in a Wonder Man movie

I'm fan of Simon, he should be always in an Avenger lineup... but a movie? really? are you stupid or what? (with all respect!)

>delusion

Z list MCU > A list DCU
No normies had heard of Ant Man or GotG either before Marvel turned them into blockbuster movies.

Don't forget Mister Doctor

It's Strange

Nothing strange about it DC is just incompetent like always

Kek Sup Forums do you even realize how dumb you sound coming to Sup Forums and your argument devolves into saying things like this?

DC dominates every market except movies, including comics, the only one that matters cause it's a billion dollar market year over year and one that can turn the stories into whatever media they want.

>comics, the only one that matters

Not even joining your piss contest btw, just laughing at the suggestion

Wonder Man hasn't been good since the 90s, and Marvel hates him.

There's a 0% chance that he'll ever get a movie, and even in the purely theoretical case that he did get a movie, it would be shit.

in a purely theoretical case, who would you cast to give the movie the best chance?

I'd travel back in time and recruit young David Hasselhoff.

Yes

i've been yelling it should be Channing Tatum for awhile

Can't happen, he's SO busy playing Gambit!

I'd like to say that people care even less about Gambit than about Wonder Man, but I know that's just a lie I tell myself.

Normie here. I had heard of both.

>Normie here
>posting on Sup Forums

Gambit was at least hugely popular once. His decline could be blamed on Marvel mismanaging him, or on it not being the 1990s anymore, but if Marvel put the effort in, they could easily make him popular again.

Wonder Man, on the other hand, the industry seems full of guys who like him, but none of can raise him beyond "a guy that nostalgics vaguely feel ought to be on an Avengers team somewhere".

>the industry seems full of guys who like him
Honestly, I think it is just Busiek.

Why should DC give a fuck?Wonder woman will make over 800 millions while wonder man wouldn't reach 500

Lmao,Wonder Woman is stomping iron boy homeflop while you say this bullshit.

Congrats, 1 out of 4 ain't bad. Oh wait..

>Wonder Man movie without Beast

Literally no fucking point whatsoever. Like making a Blue and Gold movie without Ted Kord.

>"a guy that nostalgics vaguely feel ought to be on an Avengers team somewhere".

what's funny is that's what the best Wonder Man stuff is about. Simon's insecurity at just being a flying brick who's just a normal dude.

Always like Simon as one of the main "secondary" Avengers.

As in the main three are Thor, Iron Man and Captain America.
While the Second tier are Vision, Wanda, and Simon.

Conway, Shooter, Michelinie, Englehart, Stern, Byrne, and Remender all seemed to like him a lot, as well.

Robinson used him in a Secret Wars miniseries, and talked about how much he liked him in an interview.

Jim Valentino liked him enough to put an old man version of him in the 1990s Guardians of the Galaxy book.

Gerard Jones liked him enough to write his solo book.

Brevoort seems to really like him. That Uncanny Avengers issue where Rogue and Wanda both died? Brevoort appeared unable to understand why readers were outraged, he was instead confused why no-one cared that Wonder Man had also died.

>Conway, Shooter, Michelinie, Englehart, Stern, Byrne, and Remender all seemed to like him a lot, as well.
Just Conway and Remender do something nowadays.

Conway only likes him because he is old, Remender likes him because Remender is weird.

I will know what representation feels like and will cry in my car.

Remender was one of the last guys who seemed to love this obscure random marvel u stuff and I miss it.

>Writers who like Simon express their love pairing him and Wanda
>This just makes readers dislike the character because Vision/Wanda is far more popular
He isn't more popular because of said writers.

Never thought of it like that before. It sounds insane, but it's true. The writers and editors who love him keep pushing him in a way that makes readers hate him.

And they're too stubborn or stupid to stop doing that one thing that is the only reason anyone hates him.

Hulk and Ant-Man are above those 3

There was a "how do we make Simon a popular character?" thread not that long ago.

Everyone agreed that He and Wanda are NOT meant to be and only makes readers dislike the two.

>mfw I love Wonder Man
>I enjoyed his pairing with Wanda (in Busiek's run, his returning from the dead specifically because of his love for her was touching)
>tfw, if I were a writer, I would probably do the exact same thing and make people hate him more

Well, shit.

I'd also have to insist on ripping Beast away from the X-Men and writing him like he was in the 70s. Go total "buddy cops" with the two of them. Would that also make people angry?

Someone needs to make Brevoort realise this. He's either the man who's pushing the idea, or the man who keeps allowing it again and again.

They're both going to be on Zub's Uncanny Avengers team, if Marvel do try to pair them up again, it's like they're fighting against MCU synergy on this one thing.

>I'd also have to insist on ripping Beast away from the X-Men and writing him like he was in the 70s. Go total "buddy cops" with the two of them. Would that also make people angry?

Have you seen how much X-Men fans hate Beast these days? Any sympathetic or positive portrayal of him will make them mad.

Simon is basically Peter Parker x Superman
he's a great character
always the highlight of Avengers, WCA and random books

I would just launch a Beauty and the Beast series and have the two of them going on a roadtrip throughout the Marvel universe

Well fuck, looks like my Wonder Man comic is doomed right from the fucking get go

Guess I'll stick to never writing anything

I think Zub could be a really fun writer
his Rogue has been on point for these past two issues

>always the highlight of Avengers, WCA and random books
Which puts him on the level of with Fire and Ice, below Booster Gold and Blue Bettle.

>STARS AND GARTERS
>One is a washed up industrialist turned washed up actor turned washed up Ionic flesh puppet turned loose cannon cop who doesn't play by the rules!
>The other is a fuzzy blue linebacker with a brain like Einstein's, hands like Uma Thurman's and a case of verbal diarrhea in a dictionary flavored laxative factory. He's also a loose cannon cop who doesn't play by the rules!
>TOGETHER THEY FIGHT CRIME!
>STARS AND GARTERS

>Entourage of superhero movies

And people still love entourage, that's why the movie did so well

>mfw I grew up reading JLI and WCA

I wish this was a real thing

Believe me, so does Hank.

Hulk was never really an Avenger outside of adaptations. He left the team in the second issue and never came back until the movie came out. Even since then he hasn't had much of an Avengers presence in the comics.

Ninety percent of Sup Forums is normie, you secret club memeing cuck.

You know that if WB actually made a Blue and Gold movie they'd do it with Jamie.

>he thinks they're really making the L'chaim! movie after ten years of sitting on their asses watching the Rock get old

Het moviefag, Hulk was an Avenger for 2 issues.....then gone

hey russian, he still shows up now and then, especially for the really bad shit

Marvel might actually publish it, if they were lovers.

...

>>There will never be a Wonder Man movie about Wonder Man going to Hollywood to star as Wonder Man in a Wonder Man movie

....and losing the role to some direct-to-dvd action movie star.

:(

>man main pro-tag movie
>scoring higher than a woman
unless they turn him black or gay no chance in hell

What other second line avenger deserves a movie?

Jack of Hearts

>Sorry Wonder-Man, we've decided to change your character to be black
>But i'm LITERALLY the character!
>Yeah, so we'll keep you on as a consultant so our star can stay in your character

A Wonder Man movie would've only been good in the 80s or early 90s. People's interpretation of Hollywood and its actors has changed and Hollywood itself has changed and the ways in which he is charismatic and humorous would've just fit better back then. He'd just come across as too caricature-ish now.

Pls no, user. We need you to save Simon.

Hm.

Would you guys be content with them turning Simon and Beast gay for another if that meant a well written new solo for Simon/a buddy cop series for them both?

I'm undecided. Seems very monkey's paw-esque.

>getting more gay Beast porn
im for it

Gay Wolverine and Herc produced a depressingly small amount of porn, so I'd hope so. For your sake, user.

Ant Man wasn't a blockbuster.

DC makes a half billion dollar plus, per year, from catalog trade sales alone. Marble only gets to claim a higher percentage of floppies SHIPPED (not sold) which includes unpaid for over-shipping.

In actual bottom line (look at the filings with regulators), DC Comics is more profitable AND grosses more than Marvel Comics.

Joss Whedon said in 2012 that he doesn't like Wonder Man so that probably hasn't helped Simon.

Not that Whedon kept him out of the MCU but he did go to bat for Vision and Scarlet Witch, but didn't create a Wonder Man for Vision to get his brain patterns from.

He may get in eventually but Gunn wasn't able to fit him in, and it gets harder as they have more and more characters.

>Simon is supposed to be an every man
>Whedon doesn't get it
poetry
