It's ridiculous, considering that even in the Battle of France, hundreds of thousands of Frenchmen died or were wounded; hell, even the Maginot Line soldiers were going to keep fighting until they were told to stand down by their officers.

And that's not even looking at any of the other wars that France has fought in... and won.
