Fuck. Of all the disappointing things about TLJ, the sub-par score was by far the worst. All they did was reuse the limited soundtrack from TFA, and it didn't fit the tone of the movie at all. All of the musical cues were off and out-of-sync with characters' dialogue and tonal shifts. I get that the original soundtrack is iconic and people like it, but it just didn't fit. Rey and the First Order's themes were pretty good, but everything else (including the old stuff) fell flat for me.
