So she killed all those people when she smashed her bracelets right?
So she killed all those people when she smashed her bracelets right?
Yes. That's why this takes place in Paris and she's living in England at the end of the movie.
I still have no idea if this Wonder Woman is bulletproof or not
Not only that, but she completely demolished that museum, that explosion can knock Superman and Doomsday on their asses, no way that building was left standing. This user here was able to pick up on the subtleties of Snyder’s Vision, wondy will be exiles from each city of man until she’s forced to return home broken and disgraced.
nah it's magic, there's always intent in magic
She totally is considering she survived a super headbutt. She probably blocks using bracelets considering it would be more precise and safe than to just let bullets randomly ricochet off her body to wherever
We can all come to the agreement that this magical bracelet clang explosion is dumb as shit right? Like who the fuck thought that was at all a good idea?
Whedon is a brainlet.
She definitely killed the terrorist guy.
I have to assume they wanted to give her some big, flashy spectacle of a super power and decided on making the bracers do something special since they're already her gimmick.
Earlier in that scene, though, I did love her bullet deflection to save the hostages. It really should've just ended with her punching the guy out. I don't actually mind the bracer blast but that scene was not the time to use it.
>She totally is considering she survived a super headbutt
To understand how Wonder Woman's durability works, you can't base it on real world conceptions of physics and pressure x surface area and whatnot.
Instead, you have to be a Dungeons and Dragons player. She has damage resistance against bludgeoning but not against piercing/slashing.
I actually really, really like it as a sort of "power" she has, but it's inconsistent as fuck and doesn't completely make sense. How come it doesn't seem to affect anything directly behind her at times whenever she's protecting people, like in OP's pic or when she saves Batman in BvS? How come sometimes the shockwave hits all around or but sometimes, it's directly in front of her? It's something that I'd love to see incorporated into other versions of Wondy, but please make it make more sense and be more consistent.
Does that really apply in this universe?
Yes, notice that the only thing that worked against Doomsday was piercing and slashing damage.
If you're talking about WW saving Bats from Doomsday, she deflected the eye beams with her shield, not the bracers.
That's a fucking brilliant analogy
She then smashes her bracers together right in front of Batman, knocking back Doomsday's ~3,000 pound weight a dozen meters. Batman is unharmed.
The simplest answer is Snyder is a hack, notice how when she did it for the first time in the WW movie it knocked everyone around her on their asses. I’m confident that that opening bit with Wondy in JL was all Snyder due to the over use of Slow Motion.
>She totally is considering she survived a super headbutt
That's not how physics work.
>She probably blocks using bracelets considering it would be more precise and safe than to just let bullets randomly ricochet off her body to wherever
Except we've actually seen her get pierced by bullets in her own movie, as well as other Amazons, try again.
The other amazons aren’t gods, and Wondy got shot and hurt in that movie? I don’t remember that, of course I don’t remember much from that movie to be honest
>The other amazons aren’t gods,
They're still similar in strength to WW herself (and she's half-Amazon) judging by Antiope's sparring match, where Diana was on the ropes due to a cheap shot, until she clanged together hre bracers. Not to mention her whole heroic sacrifice becomes more than a little silly if she killed herself for literally no reason.
>and Wondy got shot and hurt in that movie? I don’t remember that, of course I don’t remember much from that movie to be honest
Beach fight. We see her about to engage German soldiers, the shot cuts away, and when we return back she's bleeding from her arm. Either she got grazed by a bullet or her skin got cut by a bayonet. The following scene draws attention to the wound when a doctor treats it.
Well that part in Themyscira was when Morpheus/Anthiope was still trying to make the babby savior learn the ways to hack the Matrix.
So basically this was before Diana knew how to turn off Friendly Fire Damage?
>all these people forgot she did it 6 feet from Batman and he was fine
Obviously it's directional.
She was hurt by a bullet in her solo movie, so...
The shockwave power just seems kind of unnecessary. Like, I get you want to give her another power, but Diana's already got strength, speed, flight, bracelets, Lasso, and tiara. If you really want to give her more stuff, just nut up and give her the Jet.
I sure hope not. Would take A LOT of force to break her hymen then
Why is it hard to understand that you can smash the bracelets together with various force.
No, she does it with people behind her all the time, it's only one way, atleast try harder
No because most oof the force goes in front of her. They just got knocked on their asses.
She can probably adjust how powerful it is.
>She
>No, she
>She
>She
>She
>So she
