The Slingers I knew of, but who are these two?
don't worry OP, your storytime was not in vain.
lol I legitimately didn't see that coming
en.wikipedia.org
Black Marvel is an old Golden Age hero. He made a deal with Mephisto to get the costumes that the Slingers get their powers from
Cyber is a mutant. Tussled with Wolverine a few times. Was his "drill sergeant"
Cyber was an old wolverine villain Peter David made back in the day.
So I guess this and the red headed girl are the prelude to the whole Mephisto in Vegas crossover?
Honestly surprised Ben's book is surviving that long. Is it selling over 20k still?
That's some long term planning and set up
Me neither, but he's looking kinda... small these days.
Kaine looks weird in this book.
It's selling above 30k IIRC
Cyber? Fucking Cyber?! Fuck!
Cliff notes.
Supervillain bruiser. Adamantine Skin except for parts of his face. Usually much taller and much broader. Needle claw fingers inject paralytic. Mutant. Last seen murdered by Tyler/Genesis to harvest his skin to create new Adamantine graft to replace the skeleton wolverine lost when Magneto ripped it out on Avalon in the late 90s.
Jesus Christ, Dusk is hot.
I see it did 34,277 in November, but that was the legacy cover stuff. It did 18,377 in October, and 22K/19K in September.
Let's hope it can keep some of that Legacy branding momentum.
It jumped from like 14k in October to 34k in November. Was there a big variant released that month like the one-month boost Gwenpool got from Legacy back in October?
Actually he was brought back in Wolverine Origins of all things. His consciousness can hijack other bodies now.
Which would explain his smallness, since he needs to find other's bodies to use.
Sliney's a terrible fucking artist is the problem. I'm more annoyed that there's still been no mention at all of Aracely. I just don't see any reason at all for him to ever abandon her. Someone needs to ask PAD about it.
A Lenticular it seems
When will the Other fix Kaine? When will Hummingbird return? I just want more of my favorite Scarlet Spider
Seriously, why did PAD introduce so many plot points instead of fixing Ben right away? The book was endangered from the very beginning, he mustn't waste issues before the inevitable cancellation on all that shit.
...
The world needs more Dusk.
Why does Kaine have those eyes now?
Artist may have forgotten he was no longer drawing Miguel
So are the Yost Scarlet Spider TPBs out of print? Looking at them on Amazon and shit and they're all running $30+. Kind of a shame, Stegman's coming to a con in Orlando in January and I wanted to pick up trade for him to sign. Maybe I'll just pick up RYV vol. 1 instead.
He already had these red-ish eyes in one of Bagley's issues though
The Other is dead so we gotta hope that Ben can fix Kaine before Marvel pulls the plug. Maybe they can link the plot point of Cassandra Mercury's daughter's condition and the clone degeneration
So if Hornet = Cyber, who is Black Marvel? One of Cybers usual buddies? Another Peter David villain?
I'm not going to lie, this arc is boring. Well, the series so far. I think it's slated for cancellation, but tossing in this guy was a good move. Interesting enough to buy another issue or two.
Unf
It's not terrible like I thought but it's obvious PAD is just treading water until cancellation. Seems like he checked out pretty early.
Do you think the last three issues will be the Damnation tie-in?
I dunno why and I know it's cliche, but Kaine's line of reasoning had me laughing.
PAD is still suffering from health issues, so that doesn't help either
Mephisto?
Or is that the little girl?
OH SHIT.
The little Girl is the hypothetical daughter than got aborted when Pete and MJ sold their marriage.
I don't know what's weirder: that Kaine's suit is SO skintight that you can see his belly-button or that he has a belly-button to begin with.
Kaine doesn't like to say it out loud but he enjoys the weird cloning/Other defect that made him buffer than his brothers.
As long as there are people with spider powers, the Other, the multiversal incarnation of those powers, can't be dead
To think, I assumed that one guy who traced 3D models in Tom King's Batman was bad. At least his linework was decent.
