Rightclops was never a villain in the Marvel universe. They've kept trying to paint him as the antithesis of the SWJ agenda to try and make him a Hitler, but to the people who actually read comics instead of bitching about them on twitter, that only made him more right. He's a guy who stands up against cops pointing guns at little kids. A guy who will do whatever he has to to prevent genocide against his own people. A guy who has never tried to justify murdering a little kid. A guy who even called Captain America out on the anti-mutant bullshit multiple times.

At least Cyke owns up to his actions. Every "evil" thing Scott has done, Logan has done worse for decades. Nothing is funnier than watching Wolverine try to come off high and mighty. At least when Claremont was writing him, Logan had enough self-awareness to know what a schmuck he is.

I have unironically liked Cyclops better than Wolverine since the 70's. Yeah, Cyclops was a bit of a dick during the whole Madelyn Pryor thing, but I blame Jim Shooter for that.

That being said, my favorite X-Man has always been Nightcrawler.

They tried but it didn't stick and I'm pretty sure when's back they'll sweep that shit under the rug.

he was more like the anti-imperialist dictator of most of mutantkind after M-Day, who could back his words because he had weapons of mass destruction.

the problem of Cyclops is he was the right leader of mutantkind for the period between M-Day and AvX when the number of mutants had fallen to only a few hundreds and they were close to extinction, but he could never re adjust to the end of that crisis.

He was a great leader for that crisis, but it felt terrible for him to fall into a lesser position once that crisis was over. he could only go lower.

if they resurrect Cyclops, it would be very hard to imagine him taking orders from Kitty Pryde and being just another person in a team.
