All this year I'll be posting Punisher comics. Most of them will be from the pre-Ennis era, but some will be from the Ennis era. Expect at least 1 storytime per week.
I JUST finished a storytime of Bloodlines and I highly recommend that you go and check that out right now (and bump it while you're at it) over here: Last week I storytimed a few comics related to the various Punisher movies.
There was the adaptation of the original Dolph Lundgren film: And there was also the questionably accurate adaptation of the Thomas Jane movie, along with a "promotional release" for the super shitty War Zone movie: Well when I posted those I forgot that there was also a prequel comic for the Thomas Jane film that came packaged with the DVD. Not only that, but it was written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Steve Dillon!
So I'm going to rectify that right now and storytime the thing in this thread.
Ennis is a funny fucking guy when he's not trying to be edgy.
Grayson King
Hey i've never read this one.
Mason Rodriguez
Ennis is fucking schizophrenic. I've never seen a writer that veers so much between great and fucking awful.
Grayson Ward
Is this the rarest thing out of all of Ennis' run?
Camden Price
The guy that made Hitman -- arguably the best written comic ever made -- is the same guy that made Red Team Double Tap Center Mass, A Train Called Love, and Where Monsters Dwell, 3 of the worst comics ever made. Blows my mind that it's the same writer.
Kevin Bailey
Was there a Punisher MAX (or maybe Marvel Knights?) cover that looked like this? Like that used the same pose?
Justin Gomez
Is that an actual signed cover or are the signatures printed?
Christian Edwards
bumping to read
Connor Hughes
Ennis REALLY likes the idea that Frank Castle is somehow "destined" to become The Punisher.
