AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...
Superman is fucked
NO FUCKING WAY
>Actions Comics #1000
BIG IF TRUE
superman was never good
...
...
Fucking IRL Lex going to meta-fuck Superman.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'M MAD
Well I mean the issue is gonna be like a trade long. I imagine he'll be doing a 5 page short or something.
Well fuck me for wanting to celebrate Clark's big issue
This is what dcucks get for laughing at his marvel work
If true, I'm going to buy it and hang it right next to my framed issue of America
you know the one
Doesnt DC know how horrible he is and how much hes hated? Why are the promoting him so high up and giving him fucking action comics of all things?
His head makes the DC logo look like a swastika
My body is ready
>98036173
shoo shoo console war fag
Nepotism mostly, no one actually deserves their positions in regards to writing most of the time.
Can anyone stop him?
Welp, there goes Superman.
I actually thought it was for a split second
Cant wait for Superman to get replaced by a black girl with the same powers.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
GET REKT YOU DCFAGS. Meanwhile Yoshida-Sama is already working to save Marvel and get it back on top.
Hahahahahah amazing
I love meme magic
But what if it ends up being good? Will Sup Forums ever recover?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>Doesnt DC know how horrible he is and how much hes hated?
Nigga, outside of Sup Forums people like him. Also as far as I kno indenpendent of quality, he usualy sells really well, sometimes just with his name.
>Longtime Marvel Comics writer Brian Michael Bendis's first published work under his long-term DC-exclusive contract will be a backup story in Action Comics #1000, featuring art by DC co-publisher Jim Lee, ComicBook.com has learned.
>The issue, which represents the first time a major American superhero comic has reached the 1,000-issue milestone, will be an over-sized extravaganza with a main feature by writer Dan Jurgens, who took over Action Comics with #957 at the start of the Rebirth initiative in 2016; and another by Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason, who took over Superman at that same time. The rest of the book is a star-studded tribute to eighty years of Superman storytelling.
>Besides Action Comics #1000, DC will release a hardcover collection, Action Comics #1000: 80 Years of Superman, which will retail at $29.99 and feature over 300 pages, with a blend of new and reprinted content.
Heres how its going to work.
Bendis gets coached or has a set story laid out for him, its pretty much just pandering to superman fans.
Once thats complete he gets creative control and we go right back to his usual shit of sidelining the main character and obnoxious focus on side characters and his OC bullshit.
Superman will be a black woman by this time next year.
All this fun family dynamic with Louis and John? Say goodbye to that.
COME HOME user
>a backup story
THANK YOU JESUS
>outside of Sup Forums people like him.
>Also as far as I kno indenpendent of quality, he usualy sells really well, sometimes just with his name.
How? His characters, writing, and especially dialogue are fucking deplorable, are normies that fucking stupid?
Sounds ok. Nothing to get worked up about.
Can anyone explain what so horrible about him?
Is this an edit?
Only when Slott is taken out back and shot.
user is retarded, Bendis is pretty unpopular but it doesn't matter because he has friends in the industry. The fact that article in the OP exists at all should be a clear sign hes infamous because it sure isn't presented as a celebratory event.
Considering we already have reports that he's going to be taking over Superman afterwards, he'll likely get a full-sized story to set-up his run with. But yes, the issue is huge and has a shitton of writers doing stories for it. I suspect that Jurgens and Bendis will have the longest stories though since this issue will basically be the end of Jurgens' run and the beginning of Bendis'.
Siegel and Shuster have just created a vortex simply by rolling in their graves
>normies
>buying comics
Those are casuals user, not normies
But he's going to leave ASM after 800,so there's no need for that unless he ends his run by doing something incredibly damaging to Peter.
Spammy back and forth dialog that goes nowhere.
Repeated panels with no changes.
Sidelines main characters for side characters or huge groups of characters.
Entire issues will be characters sitting in a room talking.
Fetish for inserting his own original idea characters into stories.
1. He is incapable of giving characters unique voices. Everyone sounds like a sassy teenager.
2. Proud and flagrant disregard for continuity, legacy and anything other than what he feels like writing in that specific issue.
3. Is pretty much solely responsible for the destruction of the X-Men.
4. Relies on GAME-CHANGING SHOCKING REVEALS instead of character development, stories or fun.
and these
Why is that necessary? His final arc on ASM starts in March. We don't know what book he'll be on after ASM ends, but he's not an inherently bad writer. He's just been on ASM for like 4 years too many and has long since ran out of stories to tell.
...
Superman is about to be BLACKED
Bendis?
And Brevoort.
GGs
No re.
No, because DC has editors willing to reign him in. They're not handing Bendis the keys to the entire kingdom
That entire page makes me want to kill myself while reading it.
>implying editors will have control over Johns' buttbuddy
Nepotism got him this job, nepotism will allow him to do what he wants.
Man shit on the entire X-men and Spiderman franchises, why would he stop there?
It's over
DC is finished
No wonder he dropped everything and went exclusive. 1000 is a big deal.
Tanking sales might. Worst case scenario is either a black Supergirl or Steel takes over. He was actually pro Spidey marriage so Superfamily might be safe
Bendis? The comic writer?
>All these people thinking he's going to write the whole thing
Are you stupid or something?
Well he did do secret invasion
They just want meme.
*to
No, it's just troubling that the first thing he's writing for DC is Superman. If it was a Question oneshot or something appropriate to his style, I'd be thrilled, but Superman is the absolute last DC property Bendis should be allowed to touch.
It IS going to be good. Bendis is a master of solo character stories.
I'm unironically hype for Bendis' Superman. At the very least, it'll be more entertaining than Jurgens'.
>Marvelcucks think that DC doesn't have editors
>Marvecucks think that DC will give Bendis free reign
>Worst case scenario is either a black Supergirl or Steel takes over.
Steel taking over is not as much of a problem since when he was created he was one of the four Supermen that "replaced" Superman during Reign. My concern is that Bendis would go for cheap and easy characterizations.
Yep, noticed the same thing
Keep telling yourself that, rules dont apply to Bendis because hes an industry old boy.
I was born in a world of hurt
Superman comics is the elephant's graveyard of comicbook writers. They all seem to think its the highlight of their career when its really the ending.
You might have a point there. Once you have enough clout to land the book, your best work is a decade behind you.
...
Nope. That is the actual page when Beast bought O5 to present.
>companywarfag
Why you are so cucked? Why cant you just join us and laught, instead of taking it personaly and try to defend a company? Where is the neutral stance of just enjoying things burn?
...
Good.
Superfags on suicide watch
>the fact that they're saying what book he might make his debut on means they hate him
What the fuck did he mean by this?
...
I-it'll be f-fine right bros?
>Where is the neutral stance of just enjoying things burn?
Because Marvelfag, we dont like watching our favorite characters get raped up the ass and turned into godawful caricatures of what they once were and the things they once embodied. Sorry to break it to you, you massive cumguzzling cuckold.
>Being this worked up over a character written by countless people on the shitty Big 2
But Ultimate Spider-man was good until Miles .
>Being this fucking assblasted that people don't like seeing beloved comic heroes and symbols of hope reduced to nothing more twisted bastardizations of everything they once stood for
Kindly neck yourself, you putrid waste of flesh.
Bendis' Superman will unironically be the best run in years.
He has a lot of fans
His name sells.
It's naturalistic. Some people really dig that.
...
Nah
Jurgens is on Action.
It's Tomasi who is on Superman.
Nah, the tribe sticks together. They would be happy Bendis is one of their own.
He did it, that bastard finally did it....Lex Luthor finally found something to kill the man of steel....
>backup story
Fine. At least it won’t COMPLETELY tarnish this collection.
Johns did pretty well for himself after leaving Action Comics.
Same for Simone and Rucka.
>backup
Thank christ. And here's to hoping editorial's good enough to bring out the competence in Benis.
Popular opinion is that either Bendis will bring his A game or editorial will keep him in check. Fingers crossed for USM tier writing at least.
>he's not an inherently bad writer.
He’s just an incredibly shitty human being and should not be allowed on social media anymore.
Defenders is at cancellation level and has either been cancelled or will be.
And this is with the netflix show providing synergy.
Bendis has lost his sales mojo.
I'm glad I don't care about Superman. Sorry for marriage fans though, expect Lois to be a turbo cunt.
>all those anons thinking that Bendis won't have much power in DC cause he's new and editorial is better
>Bendis gets what he wants right from the get-go
>part of historic moment despite not having any history
>it will only get worse
He is josh whedon if josh whedon hated what he was writing and wished to spread that hate to the characters and readers.
