Another month, another list to make me hate people who buy floppies.

>> 4. BATMAN #36 (DC)
>> 5. BATMAN #37 (DC)
bat-cat is out.

for once, DC has Retail Market Share and Marvel has Unit Market Share.

honestly the fact that hackman sells more than main spider-man makes me happy desu, and it's just a oneshot

>Hawkman that high
Feels good bros. Wish we had a fucking ongoing or anything.

Moorefags status: SEETHING.

Me too

For the second time in a row.

ftfy

Both events have Batman

>Marvel has Unit Market Share.
inflated
numbers

Everything has Batman. I bet AC 1000 will not only have Batman but he will be the main character.

It's coming, Jeff Lemire said in a interview he isn't writing it anymore though.

I feel like they'd just give it to Snyder since it's his dream project.

>8. MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE #1 (MAR)

But FF was cancelled due to low sales, right?

>> 1. DOOMSDAY CLOCK #2 (DC)
How much did it sell?

>Hawkman in the top 10 even if it is a #1
what a time to be alive

>> 8. ONI PRESS - 1.00%
>> 10. VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT LLC - 0.96%
that's really embarrassing
What does oni even publish? Rick and Morty?

they also do Invader Zim, which I just learned has been running for 26 issues

>previous Decembers
Oni is improving actually. Definitely a Rick & Morty bump.

Hardfought.

made a bigger one. DC hasn't had a December this strong since 2006 when they had 35% of the market.

yeah, all they had to do was break open the piggy bank

any way of seeing the numbers for the manga sales in the US?

I buy floppies, and I bought 2 of the books in the top 10.

On a monthly basis, no, but Brian Hibbs has been posting annual totals for a while.

Complete list when?

We don’t actually even know what Snyder’s on after Metal do we? He’s got New Challengers but I’d be surprised if that was all he’s on. Maybe he does have Hawkman.

That was always bullshit. They don’t cancel Carol despite her selling like shit, or Squirrel Girl.

>3. PHOENIXRESURRECTION: THE RETURN OF JEAN GREY #1 (MAR)
>7. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN/VENOM: VENOM INC. ALPHA #1 (MAR)
So 90s nostalgia is the only thing helping Marvel right now?

No it wasn't, despite what Brevoort and the shills claim.

If it were true they would've canceled a lot more books years ago.

>1. DOOMSDAY CLOCK #2 (DC)
youtube.com/watch?v=4OEvDqRr898

THAT ABSOLUTE STATE OF MARVEL

That and incentive variants.

Venom Inc Alpha #1 also had a 1:50 incentive variant, too.

> 1. DC ENTERTAINMENT - 34.54%
> 2. MARVEL COMICS - 33.80%

>>UNIT MARKET SHARE
> 1. MARVEL COMICS - 38.81%

And Marvel comics cost 1 dollar more on standard issues... Overshipping more than usually?

> 1. DOOMSDAY CLOCK #2 (DC)
Fuck everybodies shit taste
> 2. DARK NIGHTS: METAL #4 (DC)
Fuck yeah

What's marvel 2 in one and how hard did they push it to get it up there?

That is really weird since DC's books are so much cheaper than Marvels. How the hell did this even happen?

I don't understand. How does dc have market share but marvel has unit share? Aren't dc books cheaper?

>complaining about other's shit taste while praising Metal
this is a little too perfect

It is fantastic four, at least half. And it was really good.

>Hawkman and half of the FF in the top 10

Surely this will persuade them to give them book

What's the difference user?

Its Johhny and Ben looking for the rest of the Fantastic Four, anything starring the FF is a long time coming and people are jumping on it.

unit share is how many books were sold, market share is how many dollars were spent

Most are, but the events going on right now are more expensive and as such are likely helping bring that number up. We'll get a clear image once the number of units shipped comes out.

>7. Venom Inc Alpha
Hey cool

Ah right.

Unit share is books sold to stores. Market share is how much money you made off those books.

By which I mean how much marvel and dc made.

Why is Hawkman selling so well? Was there some hype surrounding him? Is it actually good? Are covers so great, people just want to grab them? Explain, Sup Forums.

Metal tie-in+on a TV show?

>>>RETAIL MARKET SHARE
>> 1. DC ENTERTAINMENT - 34.54%
>> 2. MARVEL COMICS - 33.80%
Is this a sign of the changing times?

>What's marvel 2 in one and how hard did they push it to get it up there?

It's the Thing and Human Torch comic. It also had a lenticular incentive variant which is why it's that high up.

>BATMAN
>BATMAN
>BATMAN
Joker just put me on acid.

>#1 sales meaning anything in marvel
That shit has 8 variant covers, including the Lenticular that you can only get by order a certain amount of the other covers.

it is a concept of hankman in hell, but not a metal hell or destroyer,is more based on the hell of the pestilence

Marvel is really weird. They cancel a lot of the good books for having low physical copy of floppy sales yet for books like Captain Marvel, Ms Marvel, Moon Girl, and Squirrel girl they use the trades and scholastic as an excuse to continue the shit books.

Quality has nothing to do with it, if the trade sales aren't great, they get canceled.
>Captain Marvel
That's just a meme they're desperately trying to force.

I know quality doesn't matter to them that's why I said it's weird how they just try to cherrypick which series to axe. Carl Manvers is definitely kept for movie and name rights but the others I don't understand.

They actually do have good trade sales, this can be independently observed.

Link?

Even with all the power Marvel movies are bringing, their comic book division is shitting the bed. Disney should just fire everyone involved.

But this is exactly why Alonso was fired and why the Cebulski Shogunate was installed to try to fix things.

Remember when Image projected they would surpass DC in market share?

I LOVE DOOMSDAY COCK

>6. BATMAN: WHITE KNIGHT #3 (DC)

after batman...another batman but it must be sold more than 70ks

Batman is pretty much singlehandedly keeping the market alive. It fucking sucks that that’s how it is but it’s true.

Look at how much Doomsday Clock, Dark Nights: Metal, Batman: White Knight and Hawkman: Found cost relative to their positions on the Top 10.

>Valiant being beat by a company that sells nothing but Reddit: The Comic Book

As someone who genuinely enjoys Valiant this wounds me. How do they get the top spots without having to rely on movie sales to advertise to normies?

publish more than two books a month?

I think they publish like six a month. They play it safe with their shared universe and purge books when they aren't needed unlike Marvel who have several Deadpool titles both on team and on solo just because.

>AC 1000

A (Detective) Comics.

Doomsday Clock and Metal both have jacked up prices

Top 100 tomorrow, what you're exactly saying saying on Monday

that means shit all since modern sales are so much lower nowadays. 100% of 100 sold copies will always be less then 50% of 1000 copies

bump
