If these characters were male, none of you would give a shit.
If these characters were male, none of you would give a shit
I don't hate Webby or Ashi OP
In fact I miss Weekly Samurai Jack meme threads
>male ashi
>gay jack
that's pretty hot
Pretty sure people would hate all of them a LOT more if they were male.
Webby is fine the only people who hate her are ones who hate they character type and would hate it regardless of gender
Ashi would still be a ass pull of a Gary Stu and the gay Jack shitposting would be far worse
>caring about the new star wars
Ashi is shit either way. There is no reason why a secondary character should get more focus in a finale season years later than the main character that people actually cared about.
I dunno, it pissed me off when I was a kid how four out of every five Rescue Rangers episodes focused on Dale. Characters who hog the spotlight as creators' darlings are bad in any form.
They'd care less.
They'd love Peggy Hill if she was a male character, though. Think about it.
You are correct.
Ashi is my waifu.
t.Jack
Yes, because then my penis would not want them.
>As much
If Webby was a guy, he'd be hated way more for making the triplets look even stupider and more useless rather than the competent and clever adventurers from the comics.
Ashi is there for Jack to romance. Making Jack gay would cause a lot of rage.
I don't watch the Star Trek/Wars stuff.
if Poochie was female, none of you would give a shit.
If Mabel were a boy, everybody would hate him, rather than just Sup Forums
>male ashi
>suddenly it turns into a edo style gay samurai relationship
>suddenly ashi's inclusion would've have more of a development.
Maybe the ending would have been better.
But I love Ashi. In fact, I wanted her to get a spin-off.
>Fem Dipper
>you don't like [poorly written mary sue] because they have a vagina
Honestly i'd be pretty pissed if Jack turned out to be gay. Also "The Last Jedi" is super pro-feminist agenda, it's not even up for debate. Garbage is garbage.
The Last Jedi was so bad I didn't complain about Rei once. The movie was made scene by scene and not with any story. (half the movie is chekov's gun, if chekov's gun was not only useless but took up half a book)
Ashi was fine, people just mad they used Gurren Laggon's ending.
Webby was in the original show too, the reboot just went too far having her be hyper competent next to everyone else. Its fine they want to add a couple girls to a main cast that was void of women, but giving Webby what's almost super powers around 3 lacking brothers is unbalanced.
Yeah, pretty much. But they aren't. So, dealing with reality, you're left with 3 characters that people care about but YOU don't.
How is Ashi a poorly written mary sue?
She's female and competent. That's it. That's all it takes.
Ooooh... so that's were the hate basically come from?
The reason anyone defends these shitty characters right now is because they're female, genitalia doesn't change shitty writing.
>people wouldn't hate bad characters if they were male
You fucking what? The only reason anyone likes them is because they can jerk off to them.
10/10 bait man,
she gets jack back to the past instead of him doing it himself?
But why are all of them objectively bad characters again?
If there are people who hates, for example, Ashi well that's their opinion but why are we talking as if this was about Korra?
>is the super secret son of Aku
>magically has all of his powers
>suddenly figures out how to use them without any training
>time portals back in time
>doesn't die after Aku dies, at least until it's convenient for a tragic death scene
>her last line of dialogue isn't even that insightful. It's literally "dude without aku i ded lol"
Cutting out that whole cringeworthy wedding scene would've instantly improved the series finale tenfold.
The story starts to revolve aroind her for no reason. It doesn't develop her and was just put in so jack could have a waifu amd a tragic end. Him having a wife and son at the end would have been poetic. This was just bullshit.
Oh hey.
When will you stop.
I already don't give a shit about nuWebby.
Rey and Ashi are cool. Would be friends with.
Calm down, user. It still hurts for me too.
But there, there...
You understood what she represented, right? Jack and Aku were in an endless stalemate because it was just them, alone in a proverbial bubble. Aku is afraid to leave his castle for fear of the Samurai and Jack has no capability to kill Aku. This would've continued on forever or until Jack killed himself.
Ashi's very existence was a narrative must because without a third wheel the stalemate would've just gone on and on.
>is the super secret son of Aku
>magically has all of his powers
>suddenly figures out how to use them without any training
Are you honestly complaining that Ashi didn't have some kind of demon teacher to show her how to use her completely unique demon powers that had literally only been awakened a couple days earlier? Not everything has to work like Avatar.
Agreeing with this user, way too much posting of the same thread day in and day out. It's almost as bad as Sup Forums at this point.
If it were female Jack and male Ashi i would give a shit about samurai jack
It was a bad season. this is the problem of trying to finish something started years ago.
Batman is a Mary Sue
you can talk about her being a necessary part in getting jack back on his feet, but did she really need to be the one to bring him to the past. they could've done something more inventive than that
If those characters were male you could hate them without being accused of sexism.
Maybe, but that doesn't make the characters any less shitty.
The sequel trilogy would be better if Rey was a guy and Kylo Ren was Kylie Ren.
>none of you would give a shit.
Pretty much. They wouldn't suck, they'd be just plain and boring.
Never.
Women's dignity and rights never take a rest.
>Women's dignity
I haven't been keeping up with ducktales. Wasn't it more they they aired the episodes out of order so webby was constantly there early on but she didn't actually get many more episodes than the boys?
>if Ray Sue was male
There is a video on that:
youtube.com
Your what ifs don't mean shit.
I'd hate them more if they were male
Agree
What I think should have happened is that in the time portal you can see both jack and ashi, but when they exit, the only person you can see in the last fight scene is Jack. Jack doesn't notice this, wipes out aku, then looks for ashi - and notices she isn't there anymore, after aku is destroyed.
maybe. At least the discussion of their character flaws won't be as easily derailed if they had cocks instead of cunts
Webby and Ashi actually had character development, while Rey was just written to be perfect from the start. Being male wouldn't change that.
>There are anons in this board that jerk off to Webby
Lord, deliver us from evil
"I hate Male!Rey/Ashi/Webby"
>Okay then
"I hate Rey/Ashi/Webby"
>Why are you such a sexist? afraid of a strong, independent woman?
>If these characters were male, no one would give a shit about them
ftfy
And how does your image relate to your message
I don't hate Webby's character I hate her amount of exposure. She gets way more than her character can carry. Same with Aishi she was fine but completely mishandled. I haven't watched any of the new Star Wars films so I couldn't give any less fucks about Obi Wan vagina over there. Though I'd venture a guess that she's far from the only thing dragging those blatant corporate cash ins down.
i don't know the first one because i don't watch the show. ashi would have been fine if there were more episodes in order to flesh out her character and her relationship with jack to the point where it felt like it mattered and wasn't rushed as shit. fuck rey. i don't care if rey is a chick or a guy or a 12 foot gorgon, fuck her. people who put up the exact front you're putting up now in her defense are full of shit. i don't care that some rando becomes a jedi and has no connection to any lineage, that's fine. luke's dialogue in episode 4 seems to imply that anyone can at least try to become a jedi knight "i want to learn the ways of the force and become a jedi like my father." obi wan doesn't object to that notion or act like luke needs a genetic predisposition to do so. that's fine. you know what you do need? fucking training. i don't care what rey has between her fucking legs, if anyone learns the force exists that fucking day, not what you can do with it, just that it fucking exists, they should not be able to do the most advanced things we see anyone do with it that very same day. that is fucking asinine. "but we can't just have a young padawan learn the ways of the force all over again like we've seen before, that would be rehashy and boring." an excellent point, you know what else is rehashy and boring? recycling the entire plot of episode 4. fuck rey and fuck j.j. abrams for writing her and fuck you for putting up such a pitiful defense for this shitstain of a character.
>ashi with a penis
Yes please
Never saw the old Duck Tales, haven't seen the new one, no comment.
Ashi was fine, but strange that Jack didn't just off her like he did with her sisters, but not that worst thing to happen.
Rey went from being vaguely a Mary Sue to straight up Mary Sue and it's hard to deny it now. Which is a shame cause her character joining Kylo Ren or falling to the dark side would've been a neat twist to her that never happens and now we're stuck with her. I want them to pull a Rogue One on her and a lot of the new Star Wars characters, we need to start over.
OH WAIT, if they were male I'd still have basically the same thoughts on them. Totally forgot about whatever it was OP was asking.
>who is glimmer
Thats a very legitimate question. Who IS glimmer?
OP is a bitch, an ass, a faggot, a bitch ass faggot with nothing but shitposting on his side.
A commie horse
If they were male, they wouldn't exist because they only work if they are female.
...
Ashi is fine. Haven't seen wonderduck or whatever her name is. Rey would be even more annoying as a dude. Like with Rey being a girl I can say "Well, don't want to make things too hard for her." But if it was a dude I'd wonder why he's getting everything fucking handed to him.
I don't watch ducktales, I don't hate Ashi and I absolutely would hate Rey if she were male
What?
The hate we would be dealing with here will be IMMEASURABLE since we aren't even changing their traits just their genders?
Peggy is literally written to be wrong and hypocritical.
They do.
His name is Dale.
a bad character will remain bad regardless of the gender he has.
>caring about Disneywars
Ashi a Best.
Never gonna watch ducktales don't care.
You are arguing on the part against waifuism.
Tell me, if the character of Sanjay from Sanjay and Craig were female would you care more?
That should answer that question.
Why is there a big gap in between your two pics?
Do you not know how photoshop works?
Sure. And a good character will appear bad to a misogynist if it has a vagina.
Probably.
It's also true that if those characters were male, the remaining haters wouldn't insist on drawing attention to their gender, attack the creators for evil sexist pandering to evil females, or feel gender-victimized when others are unimpressed by their hate.
Except for Ashi. If Jack's final arc was a romance arc with another man, s/he'd be hated even more for gay "pandering".
As someone who hasn't watched the actual Sup Forums related things in the OP and couldn't care less about Star Wars I'm just curious: how come there are so many people here who have watched the SJ sequel but not the Ducktales reboot?
Different age demos? Sup Forums influence?
>Peggy is literally written to be wrong and hypocritical.
Peggy and Hank are essentially a swap of the usual zany Dad, sensible mother cliche. If Peggy were male, she'd be nothing but one of thousands of other comedy protagonists unworthy of mention.
This thread has been word for word picture for picture posted before. If the mods don't delete it for spam there's something wrong.
But I don't particularly hate Webby it Ashi. Hell, I'm pretty sure it's just one barneyfag-tier autust that even hates Webby to begin with.
Rey on the other hand is pretty terrible. Even if they swapped the gender he would be just as insufferable and a worse Luke in every way.
I guess, but the "dumb dad" characters are usually endearing and beloved by the fans, while Peggy is neither because they never even pretend that she caves and learns her lesson.
What is, saving the show for $300 Alex

I'm only interested in Duck Tales so much as I remember watching it as a kid and having fond nostalgic memories of that time.
Samurai Jack's visual style, music, direction, and other elements, on the other hand, make it something I enjoy on its own artistic merits. The overarching story isn't anything I ever cared for- which is why I don't really care about all this Ashi/romance/causility shit. I just wanted more awesome backgrounds, well choreographed scenes, cool music, and weird references.
> while Peggy is neither because they never even pretend that she caves and learns her lesson.
Again, just like pretty much every other comedy protagonist. If they actually learned a lesson, the show would end because there'd be no more of their wacky antics.
This
Wut? Homer admits guilt and learns his lesson, he just forgets it by the next episode. Peggy is never allowed to be this gracious, she just remains a wrong cunt who refuses to admit anything is wrong with her.
The prejudices that one or more people have over the gender of a character, does not make this one bad by default
>"dumb dad" characters are usually endearing and beloved by the fans
Peter griffin, Homer Simpson post season 9 and Richard Watterson are ALL hated by fans do to how fucking dumb they are.
>Trap Ashi
This makes my penis become the big penis
If Rey came from Jedi lineage, we would have even more people complaining about Mary Sue.
Aishi gets way too much hate. I agree with your point about needing more episodes though.
The real problem is that fans today will call any character(male or female)that shows competence a Mary Sue.
I hate to be that guy, but that's not an argument. You literally said nothing in the OP. Why would I not care if a character was a boring piece of shit I don't know who tf that duck is, but Ashi was great pls don't bring my wife into this just because they had a dick? I can't follow the logic thread of what you're trying to say. A character's gender usually doesn't have a bearing on whether or not they're well written.
>The Last Jedi" is super pro-feminist agenda
Geez. I knew the hate surrounding TLJ was generally moronic and pissy, but this takes it to a new level.
Tfw TLJ is an awful movie but you can't shittalk it without being associated with redpilled virgin cucks.
*logical
That's the angle that media has taken on the film sadly so that's not going to change.
vanityfair.com

Really sucks that its been put into such a focus.
I had a giggle.
True, because I don't give a shit about Rei, Webby would just be another one of the triplets, and Ashi's problem isn't that she's female it's that she's a plot device and gureen lagaan ripoff.
