The first and fourth Werner movie and the first Kleines Arschloch movie are the best ones.

There have been some interesting German animated movies and cartoons, such as Simsalagrimm, Wunschpunsch, Ritter Trenk, Felidae, Konferenz der Tiere and some Werner Movies, but other than that it isn't really remarkable.

German influences on Sup Forums and Sup Forums to an extent are far more interesting, so are cartoons in German television.

I remember that. I also remember the anime/cartoon block in the afternoon. That one was also grat.

Pretty much every cartoon block (hell, nearly the entire air time) has been replaced with Assi-TV and sitcoms like Bazinga, Two and a half Men, etc.
The amount of reality doku soaps is simply mind-boggling and almost gives Cartoon Network's Teen Titans GO spam a run for its money.

Also, censorship and commercials are at a new height.
For example, after the Simpsons couch gag they slapped in an additional break and the recent Mad Max Fury Road airing had scenes cut out like when the Warboys spray their face silver.
Let's not even talk about the Deadpool airing.

The animation in Felidae is actually pretty fantastic for traditional animation, even if a lot of the character designs are pretty shameless Don Bluth knock-offs. The dream sequences are an obvious example of the film’s impressive artistry. I don’t like the story much, though.
