Moral of the Story: With great power comes no responsibility. Only save people as long as it's fun but when it stops being fun then go do whatever lolrandom idea pops into your head. Your own amusement outweighs the lives of millions.

Metro Man was wrong in the context of the movie. Megamind and Roxanne basically spell that out for you.

>With great power comes no responsibility.
In some places, acting as law enforcement is frowned upon. Metro Man is lucky that the law enforcement was okay with him doing part of their job.

He wasn't happy though and didn't owe anybody anything and the only people that couldn't hold him accountable were powerless

What

Explain.

>expecting a superhero to regard their free public services as a life sentence because they're just really good at it
>implying fighting the same villain x100000 times in a row is even a crucial roll to play in the first place if said villain was more of just an empty threat to begin with
Metro Man did nothing wrong. I mean, maybe faking his death was going too far, but who are we to poke holes into his superdickerious Silver Age logic?

Metro Man was sitting on his ass while a guy was throwing skyscrapers around.

>with great power comes no responsibility
Yeah, it really doesn't. Why is Metro Man obligated to save lives just b/c he has superpowers? He doesn't owe anyone anything.

>Your own amusement outweighs the lives of millions
Shut up, OP. People are selfish, and will place their own happiness above others. You'd probably do the same.

>Megamind didn't even have to try to take over the city once Metroman left, they just fucking handed it to him
>Even THEN he had no idea what to do with it

Megamind wasn't evil, he just really fucking hated Superman. Like Lex Luthor, except less dangerous to anyone but himself.

What Metro Man should have done was create a new superhero identity for himself and emphasise he will only help out when the world or the entire species was in danger.

Essentially, he should have become Blast from One Punch Man.

> Your own amusement outweighs the lives of millions.

Exactly, who the fuck cares about strangers ?

He didn't owe them shit, and had the right to live his life.

Metro man wasn't happy with his great responsibility and only the powerless could hold him accountable. So nobody

Nobody could*

Metroman was there at the end to step in in case things went south. He was under no obligation to help people anyway, in fact his meddling made the city weak and unable to resist Megamind without him.

Blame the blue guy for this mess.

Let's talk about the fact that Megamind was totally willing to leave Titan to his own devices anywhere else in the world so long as Metro City was safe, instead. Because that was kind of fucked up.

Racist

It's the curse ghost conundrum. What if Metro Man's great power had been being the best in the world at giving blowjobs? Should he be required to continue whether he enjoys it or not?

To be fair it was all he could do.

Matrocity was better without him

Not even hate, he was only a villain because partially his rearing and because he felt it was expected of him. The point of the movie is that you shouldn't be forced into to live a life devoted to others expectations especially negative expectations.

Honestly that could be something to explore if they ever do a series with this.

"Not my city not my problem." Mentality being common among the heroes and then one villain seeks to exploit that by being the "GREATEST VILLAIN IN THE TRI-STATE AREA!!!"

So you've got other Heroes having jurisdiction conflicts and maybe the introduction of a bureaucracy that didn't appear before because Megamind never left Metrocity.

Like as soon as he steps beyond the city limits he gets swarmed and taken down Cops style.

>That pronunciation
Wait a minute...

This movie had no right to be as good as it was.

I feel like Despicable Me (only the first one) was the better film, but MegaMind is far more rewatchable.

So you should slave yourself to others without any regards for your own wishes just because you happen to be good at something?

>Essentially, he should have become Blast from One Punch Man.
Thanks for the spoiler.

daily remidner that Disney rip off Iluminations

To be fair, King Blowjob really seemed to like giving blowjobs.

True. And the benefits of a benevolent fellatiocracy are self-evident. But if it turns out he wasn't into it that would have sucked. Hurrhurr. Ahurr.

>Your own amusement outweighs the lives of millions.

Vast quantities of resources have been consumed in the process that allowed you to watch this movie and shitpost about it on the internet, an entirely frivolous endeavor pursued solly for your own enjoyment. In fact given that you're posting here the overwhelming majority of your life is probably spent "working" at things that do nothing to ease the suffering of the world's starving poor, so that you can spend money on even more frivolous pursuits while they die in the streets. So please go home sell everything not 100% necessary to your continued survival and give it all to charity. Hell we'll even pretend for a moment here that it will actually produce long term tangible gains for those folks.

Or don't because you understand the movie while taken to hyperbole is not actually that wrong.

the only supervillian was megamind, and probably Metroman thought "whats the worst he could do?he is mediocre at best"

i would had done the same if my main villian was like that.
but he was wrong for not coming back and kick Titan`s ass

What's his backstory again?

Why did he have a prison jumpsuit as a kid?

He landed in the prison. Was secretly raised by the Prisoners and helped them escape. Then I guess they just deemed a child worthy of imprisoning.

>I'm the Bad Guy. I dont ride into the sunset.I don's save the day. I dont get the Girl.
>I'm going home.

his home is prison
